- Today, I go through the DBD survivors and rate their lobby idle animations into a tier list! This includes Project W survivors.

Ash has the animation of checking his metal arm. You didn’t wait for it long enough. Also Ash and all Resident evil chatacters have voice lines in their lobbies.

I did edit out a ton of waiting that I did for these animations, but I must have still somehow missed Ash's or not noticed it 😂 I feel like that would've definitely put him higher than F tier!

It’s so funny how every survivor is not barely doing anything she expects all the survivors to start dancing outta nowhere or start talking outta nowhere😂

Rebecca doing the thumbs up animation is fitting for her because in the games she does that when Chris saves her if im not mistaken.

Quintin yawning because he's afraid to fall asleep after surviving Freddy and undoubtedly super sleep deprived. His campfire animation on the main menu is him dozing off and shaking himself awake

james throwing his head back is a reference to silent hill 2 intro scene! the game starts off by james staring at himself in the mirror with this creepy, unreadable expression with a lot of it in harsh shadows. he touches his face and drags his hand down his face before staring some more and then doing the exact motion of throwing his head back and as he's doing it just a deep breath a d then sighs it out
They could've at least had Laurie carrying books like she's coming home from school like the scene in the movie
I know right, wish they had SOMETHING that reminded us about the movie...hers was so lame 😭
5:00 In hindsight I’m surprised Nina never crouches in her animation since that’s her signature move.
Actually that is SO TRUE, that would be such a basic move that would be perfectly fitting for her!

Maybe you should rank the survivor idle animations when they're sitting at the campfire in the main menu since each one has a special animation or sitting postion :D

those are SO expressive of their personality and character. Its crazy how you can barely see them and barely notice or think about them but focusing on them really shows how weirdly well made the character animations are while sitting on the campfire

I’m pretty sure the animation of James looking up is a reference to the opening cutscene of Silent Hill 2.
It is indeed, i admit whenever i see it though he looks so done with being in the realm of the Entity 😭

@@DBDGamerGirl :) Yeah there's a balance, a lot of games these days overdo it but these feel a bit under-done or at least feels like wasted potential. The animations at the start of Halo Infinite matches for example made so many amusing bugs that it accidentally got the game lots of attention, when they fixed it they added nods to the beloved broken stuff hah.
Why not make a tier list for the sounds survivors make on hook?

Yeah, the survivor animations are mostly kind of boring unfortunately. 🙁 If you do a followup on the killer loadout screen animations though that should be a little more dynamic. 🙂

Feng being in F makes no sense. If we put Dwight and Claudette in B tier for being boring but lore accurate, Feng should at least have been C tier, as her pose fits the lore but has less going on. I’m not even a Feng lover i just don’t see the logic being followed to its own conclusion
Hmmm idk personally I didn't really find it fitting for her gaming related lore, so I did like Dwight's and Claudette's much better. They at least had some animation. I feel like hers would've been better if she was focusing on something maybe or something along those lines!
