- 張導演一直關注香港的教育制度，近年亦經常在其專欄狠批香港教育制度不足的地方，又形容香港有能力的家長為子女尋求本地學校以外的選擇尤如「用錢來走難」，可謂所有香港家長都是本地教育制度的受害者。張導演對教育顯然相當有要求，但究竟英國寄宿教育有甚麼特質，令張導演身體力行，將自己的子女都送到英國，親身投下信心一票呢?

This is such a brilliant presentation! I couldn’t agree more with the points laid out by Mr Cheung. I live in England and my children are born and bred here. Some years back they befriended a couple of new Hong Kong pupils in their boarding school. All was well until they realised that these Hong Kong “friends” of theirs began to turn everything into a competition... which was incredibly off-putting! Naturally then, their friendship was affected as it was no longer a sincere relationship, which was a real shame! I’d like to second what Mr Cheung is saying in this video and I’d also like to add if I may, that education is not a competition, education is about learning; it should be used as a pathway for an individual to learn to become a better person! An important word to bear in mind is, “teamwork”! In order to be successful, one will need the whole team to be successful.... There you go, something for all to ponder.

我在張導演隔壁私校畢業,後來移民到英語國家居住,面對自己兩個孩子的成長,很强烈的對比,感恩在另一系統生活,家長和小孩都在教育的事情來得享受和實在。孩子們在高中至大學階段都有自立和懂得發展專業的能力。愿神祝福張導演

Occidental is a good college in LA and you can transfer to an elite University.
Always invest in kid's education, totally agree. I let him learn many things on top of just school, like languages, mock trial and leadership. We live in Calif and I am glad that my son turns out decently and he is graduating from an elite University in 6 months.
Provided you have the money， every kid can be great in a sense.
We live in CA as well. Since first grade we never spent one minute doing homework with my son. I trust the American education system and let him do and learn what he was interested in. He is now in UC Berkeley. I also went through the Hong Kong education system in the 60s. All I can say is the entire HK Education Department staff should be fired.

多謝張先生分享，但係學好英文、個人有紀律、踢波鍛練團隊精神、緊䀡世界AI 、電動車、STEM潮流、訓練獨立思考，小朋友在香港也做得到喎，唔一定要讀直資、國際學校、或者孭債借錢去英國才做得到喎！
Kwok Leung So 其實香港真係有點難。主要是香港的環境問題，加上香港人的思想，人雲亦雲。如果要做到，父母其中一個要放棄工作留在家中引導孩子正面積極的態度，父母本身也是要擁有很多知識和很高的水平。因孩子在本地學校所接觸的同學和老師都沒有正確的看法和態度。到外國可接觸不同層面的人和事，擴闊視野，英文也會進步很快。到外國留學和留在香港就讀真的差很多。
我在美國很贊成張導演的講法英美教育都是同一用心 沒念書 默書 文張自已寫 學演講 不是杪書 老師講未必100分 寫字樓出格錯在那裡一一一一一一一一

孩子最好㑹多國語言，多走地方係好既，最謹要個細路l 自願，再去北京學習語言有D朋友年年放大假北上實習語言，有好多外國人住到唔願走，國語請得好好。

唔明，英國教育依然係以考試同分數為主，雖然唔似香港咁離譜咁嚴重，點解唔送個女去北美讀書呢？北美學習的自主權比較大，有更大的空間找出自己的興趣。

照講者張先生說經濟有能力的家長當然可以到海外讀書，沒有能力可以去借錢比子女讀，不過都要講天時地理人和，每個人的價值觀都不同；如果在香港讀到的學生當然在香港讀好的，但讀唔到，又冇能力的點算呢，高不成低不就，唔係個個家長有能力給子女到海外讀。
照張先生所說，香港學校一定會縮好多班，因為冇人讀。
我認為政府必須多些關心香港教育，多多愛護香港的學生，特別情緒方面，希望政府及學者們，多多幫助香港的教育，有好的教育，家長們自然不會逃避香港走到海外去。
貢獻香港是我們香港人從小就教育小朋友長大後要貢獻社會，對下一代灌輸正確的觀念。高舉別國的而壓倒自己，倒不如效法別的鼓勵自己做教育好得多。
面對學生在讀書上的困難，幫助解決香港教育的問題才是正確做法。
香港教育制度我們有話語權嗎？回前就填鴨式教育，回歸二十年香港嘅學生同家長仍然做緊白老鼠，香港現今係十二年免費教育，點解會有直資學校要要俾錢交學費呢？點解教育局局長仔女唔讀本地津貼學校呢？香港嘅高官連同中國嘅高官點解會送仔女去英美讀書呢？
我們可以提出教育問題， 通過立法局傳遞給教育局。
由於大學學位不夠，每年合資格上大學的二萬幾個學生，政府沒有學位給他們上大學是一件很可惜也不公平的事，一方面政府就唔好制定入大學的最低要求，否則就起多幾間大學，因此間接做成中學名校競爭性劇增，還要每年批准大量來香港的大陸人入讀香港的大學，本身香港人已經唔夠學位，我對政府處理這方面真是好反感！！政府應該起多幾間大學，來容納足夠 資格讀大學的學生，那就說得上公平。
所謂直資是政府不會資助一些私人起的大學，因此私人必須聘請高質素的教授，來符合其它資助大學一樣的水平。
現在的情況沒有足夠政府津貼的大學，私人就興建直資大學方面，不是一件壞事，好似啱啱又多一間恆生私家大學，又係有錢人讀，未必，有些家長好想子女繼續入讀大學又夠分數的，就可向政府申請資助 ，林鄭上臺有改進，就是每年有三萬蚊資助，幫到中下家庭。
有錢的人「包括高官」就會將
他們的子女送到直資大學入讀，又或者他們的子女被迫入直資大學或者到外國留學，因為他們考不到入讀津貼大學。
哈哈，只怕學電影也會被AI取代。未來，真的不是今天的我們能說的

每個人的路途都不一樣，即使我們身處海外升學行業，亦經常苦口婆心勸一些學生留港讀書，因為我們深信凡事沒有絕對的好壞，海外升學亦未必適合所有學生，而我們的責任就是為每一位學生找尋最適合他們的升學途徑

It is next to impossible for any student who put reasonably effort on studies and still got zero in his/her examination; unless the child has some sort of learning difficulties.
Chi Wong That’s on scenario basis. My son has always been a happy child through childhood. He’s a Wharton graduate now Executive Director in IB only at age of 35. A happy child is the key.
