Graves in the Netherlands were adopted by families and they tend the graves and it is passed down through the family to younger people as the years pass

The thing is that the Dutch are aware of history while a lot of Americans can't even find the US on a map without labels. I see people making excuses for that crap .. I don't. Ignorance can be cured. Stupidity can't. Some people are both stupid and ignorant so they are probably screwed then. These people only know about Vietnam from Hollyweird movies . .me .. I remember Christmas with the kids from a local Presbyterian church singing Christmas songs to us. They will talk about the fist Gulf War and talk about oil .. that crap fed to them by the left . .me I remember my tank company moving up to the border in Saudi Arabia with civilians with families fleeing South between the damn tanks and them waving in gratitude to us. Wow .. good thing I posted this before O-Beer-30 when I would express myself honestly. :)
My personal respect to these absolut hero's to made our country save again, How they put themself in very high risk and not sure if they went back alive themselfs is making me Humble. Thank you guys so much ❤🫂
Those that survived - are alive to tell their story so we can learn. They survived to tell how brave their mates were, they survived so they can hear from others how grateful they are that they were freed. Love from the Netherlands.
Those men of WW2 will forever have my utmost respect. And don't forget the women, the Rosie's in the States for example, who kept the factory's going whilst their men were overseas fighting. As a Dutch person, we will never forget who gave us our freedom back. 💜🌷
I've seen several RUclips videos of you on this subject, and then I always wonder how that must be for you. On the one hand, you want to meet the requester and score points so that your channel is looked at, but at the same time this will undoubtedly evoke emotions in you again and again. How do you deal with that?
Imagine what the world would look like now if those young men were not prepared to fight and die for us back then. And we have discussions if we should let in these refugees but not these ones. Makes me ashamed of the way we use the freedom they fought for.
