Most people who know about history don't believe that nonsense. If they do they are ignorant about history in general. When I watch video's of foreigners on WW 2. They say their historical account is taught primarily from their involvement. They don't get into details about the U.S. My point is, people often make comments like yours, as a criticism of American history being "pro American".
IF that's the motive behind your comment, I say every country tells it mostly from their perspective and involvement. That's not unique to the U.S.

It's much easier to mobilze a force from your homeland than mobilizing and transporting a major force over two oceans. It meant mobilizing more than a sizable Army, or Army and Air Force but mobilizing a sizable Army, Air Force and Navy along with supplying your allies.
My only problem with this video is that they don't count the lives lost in Finland after the Soviets invaded. Finland hade to ally with Germany because Britain and the US was allied with the Soviets at that point.

Похожая история однажды чуть не привела к третьей мировой из-за Америки и Карибского кризиса. В прочем для альтернативно одаренных если кто-то вступает в военный альянс у границ Америки - это плохо. Но стоит сделать то же самое на границах России и если она дает отпор- это русская агрессия и уничтожение демократии.

We were a British colony during ww2, we didn’t get our independence until after. India was also part of the war but they also fall under British military. The creator even clarifies that the British army includes all of her colonies.
