This was one of those films that got lost in the fog of time. I didn't recognize the title at first but as soon I saw Patrick Dempsey in the sombrero it all came rushing back.
Hey Kurt! How are you doing? Hope all is well. I just got done watching this. I was getting ready to ask for you to do this film. It's like you read my. Thanks again. Keep posting awesome videos. #Kurt #80slife #filmlocations
Either the people that let you in to all them places to film are the nicest, or you have a great personality that let you in like you’re one of the biggest Hollywood film maker. You rock bro!
I've only relatively recently found you and have thoroughly enjoyed going through all your older videos. One movie I'd LOVE to see a locations on would be *_SECRET ADMIRER_* with C. Thomas Howell, the iconic Fred Ward and 2 of the most gorgeous women of the 80s (and beyond, honestly): Lori Loughlin and Kelly Preston. Not to mention a supporting cast that you would've seen in just about every 80s movie worth a damn. Again, your videos are amazing! The level of detail you look for is incredible when you match a location that's changed dramatically. You, sir, rock!! We're not worthy!!!!
This was great! went back and watched all of your other videos I missed the first time, Christmas Vacation, Beverly Hills Cop, Clueless, Karate Kid, Once Bitten, They Live, Can't Buy Me Love and all the others....Good stuff!! Keep up the good work... Check out "How I Got Into College" movie, 1989 filmed in California... Cult classic...
I love this movie!!!!!🍿🍿👍🥰 Nancy Valen was also in one of my favorite 80's movie " The Heavenly Kid" I would absolutely love it if you would vlog that film, it's SO underrated! I don't think that anyone else has...🙂
Thank you so much for doing this one!! I watched Loverboy so many times growing up. It would be a tough one to ever get tired of. It’s really cool that you caught the hotel before it changed completely. Surprised it isn’t apartments
This is a great classic movie, another Patrick Dempsey gem. You did a great job with these filming locations. with a great attention to detail. This movie had a great cast that you touched on in the beginning, but Kate Jackson as Randy's mother, Robert Ginty as Randy's father, and the awesome Robert Picardo as the doctor. These combined with the rest of the cast made this an All-Star movie.
Just bought this movie on DVD since I couldn’t find it on any streaming services, such a fun movie to rewatch! Thanks for taking me to the filming locations - so cool!
I found your channel this weekend and I've been completely obsessed. From one 80s Socal kid to anotherThank you! I LOVE this movie. Did anyone ever wonder why the Rabbit convertible was parked in the driveway of the Bodek house when Tony dropped off the suit? Randy's Mom drove a Mercedes and the Dad a Bronco. We never saw Randy in a personal car and his Dad picked him up from college. Something that I've always wondered about watching this movie.
If you ever make it to Vegas there is a famous location from the movie Cherry 2000 with a quarry pit...Lestor (Tim Thomerson) drops a guy into the pit strapped into an old van... that van is still there... you can walk right up to it.
Just another gem that made 1989 THAT year for movies. I cannot think of another year when so many memorable movies dropped. 89' was that "You just had to be there" year!
Hello!! Best regards from PERU 🇵🇪 . Your tour of the movie 'lover boy' is very nice. Te felicito 😃☺️☺️🎥🎞️ te voy a comenzar a seguir...I'm going to start following you
Nice work. Would you ever do a location video for "Real Genius" from 1985? Oops, scratch that, I just saw it in your past videos. I just recently discovered your page. Great job on that one too.
Great work! And I can't wait for the FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH video when that's ready. Some other requests... CHINATOWN, FOXES, THE LONG GOODBYE, THE WILD LIFE, MIRACLE MILE, SOUTHLAND TALES, SHORT CUTS, DRIVE, HEAT, THE DOORS, MAGNOLIA, INHERENT VICE, DRIVE, PUNCH DRUNK LOVE, LICORICE PIZZA, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, LOST HIGHWAY, MULHOLLAND DRIVE, THE RUNAWAYS, LETHAL WEAPON 2, 3 & 4 and SPEED. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
@@blueghost4121 Yeah I was curious so I just looked it up. Nantucket is an Island about 30 miles from the coast of Rhode Island from the ferry at Woods Hole. So they never actually filmed anything in Nantucket? That's weird. Never went to Rhode Island, I guess it's the smallest state. I really liked One Crazy Summer. Bobcat Goldthwait's best role of all time! Where he's stuck in the Godzilla costume and can't get the head off and he's running around swearing and panicking lo!
@@PouchMaster 🤣🤣🤣🤣totally remember that scene!! It was that movie thar got played almost every weekend on cable. I was a big fan of John Cusak back then.
The Embassy Suites in Oxnard, California. Home Town, I totally remember those pink sofas. We would jump the fence to swim in the pool. Good times. It's in an area of Oxnard called "The Shores "
I can’t believe I’ve never seen this movie. I remember it on the shelf at the video store in the 90’s. If I’d known Carrie Fisher was in it I definitely would’ve seen it
One of my all-time favorite movies from the 80s. Criminally underrated.

Had my prom at the Mandalay in '89. Never knew at the time that Loverboy was filmed there.

Amazing how you managed to get any of those houses, also must have been a hassle persuading the businesses to let you film inside.
I wish Vic Tayback had time to make more comedies. His screaming gravely voice always made me laugh. Reminded me of Robert Loggia. Great video.
awesome video, tremendous just like everyone you do
Now this was a Classic!! Glad you did this my man! Any chance you will do One Crazy Summer?
Oh and also The Gate 1 and 2!!
Wasn't One Crazy Summer filmed on the East Coast if it's set off of Rhode Island? Not an LA movie?
@@PouchMaster you're right about the east coast. Cape Cod, Massachusett. And also Martha's Vineyard.

Another kickass vid, Kurt. Was wondering if you'd get Randy's house, which I knew was in a gated community. I guess not.
Cool videos, I have a request for two movies locations, Heat and Constantine. Please do those
Thank you. One of those is already in the works. 🙂
excellent work! gongrats
You should make a video on( American Me ) filming location's
Love the vids. Wanted to know if you were a fan of (1980) The Hollywood Knights?
Great movie! RIP kirstie Alley

Love this movie!
Do you know of any "Hollywood Knights" filming locations? That movie was on cable TV constantly in the early 80's! lol
The 80’s and 90’s had the best movies.
I remember this movie 🤠🤙🏼
A video regarding "The Hidden" filming locations would be well appreciated. Classic 80's L.A.
When Harry and Dr Palmer showed up at the personal trainer's house and they clicked up, i almost died from laughing, i love this movie.
Wonder if that's the same scenic area in Secret Admirer also?
I can’t believe I’ve never seen this movie. I remember it on the shelf at the video store in the 90’s. If I’d known Carrie Fisher was in it I definitely would’ve seen it
Hey man any chance you could do Side Out filming locations in the near future?
I loved❤ this movie 🎥 very funny 😁
So funny that the Carrie Fisher you picked was not even really Carrie Fisher. LOL. That's the CG Carrie from Rogue One.
Why can’t I find this movie to stream anywhere??!!
Because streaming never has anything you are actually looking for.
My band Riddlin Kids based our first video on this movie about 20 years ago. Lol
Are you gonna make one for "Just One Of The Guys"?
100%
Remember the movie "The Wild Life"? Eddie Van Halen did the soundtrack....Was that San Diego?
That blond boy is Rick from Eddie and the cruisers ,2
