There is a version of it for smartphones, I don't know the differences but it's really good and free so you can try that and see if you like the full experience from the switch.
That was my thought- I have it on iOS and play with the razed kishi but I want this physically on switch or a really good eshop sale- it is a cool game -
I'm dying for a new SSX or an HD collection or something. I'll look more into this maybe it will help scratch the itch. I tried Snowboarding The Next Phase and was disappointed with the short stages and even more disappointed that sometimes during your tricks your whole character would drift to the left or right and it was never patched.
Now I really like this game. I enjoy the visual style and the relaxed game play is a great change of pace from what is normally offered within the eShop. For me, this is the snow version of Lonely Mountains: Downhill. I will be adding this one to the library.....once its on a sale of course.
Wow this game has a 29.99 “switch tax” and it doesn’t seem like it’s different at all from its mobile version. Also, if it is actually twice the content, it’s definitely not explained in the eshop description. Microids is one of those companies that often goes on sale. I’m going to pay for the 5 dollar phone version now and get the switch version on sale for 5 later!
Loved it on my iPad - 100%ed it there. Actually enjoyed it so much that i double-dipped and bought the limited physical, should arrive tomorrow. Excited to see what the two new areas hold - and I think I read somewhere that they completely revamped the game on a new engine with graphical improvements. Would be cool to see a graphics comparison between the two versions.
Looks really cool and I love Lonely Mountain Downhill on Switch, this game seems similar. The price tho... $35 does seem a bit high. I would have guess $20-$25 for this game but will definitely give it a look once on sale.
Played this a decent amount on Android back in the day. The price did make me flinch a bit, but I think I'll still end up double dipping. This is just a great "sit back and chill" kind of game - perfect for the Switch, imo. Looking forward to diving back into it, for sure.
Just caught up with this one Alex as I managed to bag it physically for £25 on Amazon based on the e-shop video. Seeing your footage and heating your view I think I’ve made a great choice. Hope I bump into you on the slopes one day lol
Aah, yes. Drawing something on the snow. I kid you not, the first thing I did when I played AC: Valhalla was draw a "sword" on the snow. I kinda like that you're not alone on the mountain; there are other people so that's a plus for me. Unfortunately, RF5 is just around the corner and I just bought Dark Souls (Thanks to Elden Ring) so my proverbial plate is kinda full at the moment.
This looks very much like Lonely Mountains: Downhill "Snow Edition" and i really liked what i saw, until i heard that price tag, ouch. What a bummer, this is going on the wishlist and waiting for a deep sale for me.
This is a fantastic game on mobile and I was gonna pick it up on switch. But the price, not a chance. It's not a £30 plus game. It's has got loads of content but not for the price point.
This might fill the void while I wait for SSX Tricky on the Switch (will it EVER happen?). Looks like a good chillout game so I'll check out if there's any deals available.
If this was a 15 or 20$ game I would pick it up at launch but 35 feels to pricey for what we get. It looks good and I do feel like a lot phone games are underrated.
This game rocks I cannot wait to get it on Switch! I will be getting the hard copy on the 23rd of this month. $35 sounds either just right or a little bit much. I mean I see mediocre or worse games for even higher (not saying any names) so that’s why I felt this was an ok price point for a great chill open-world exploration/time trial/trick game. I am curious about if there’s any additional content from the iOS release that makes it “Winterlands.”
lol know how you feel about backlog I will go back to my backlog from time to time but I do have many more great games coming out to aswell I just don't like to Ruch every game I get so got something to do and to keep me busy to take my mind of my up and down life
Hey Scott, I get them in advance, it can be anywhere from a few days before to a month before. I beat games I review though if it’s story based, if it’s something like this, I just get a good feel for it as it can be pretty endless realistically
Looks like a great game, but, man, the Switch tax ($35 vs. $5 on iOS) is going to bury this one. I’m gonna wait for a deep sale on it, primarily because I’m taking a stand against the price gouging.
I agree the price is a bit high for what's on offer, but keep in mind they did add additional content for this version, on top of completely overhauling the graphics. So it's not just a "Switch tax" (which I also hate). They are legitimately offering more/better content for the increased price.
Thanks for the review, never heard of this one. I do like the art style and seems good for short gaming sessions....Just depends on the price. I will be checking it out. Keep up the good work on the vids!!!
Sorry, man, I like your channel but this game is dramatically overpriced and for that deserves much harsher criticism. It was £5 on mobile, has just today released on PC for £14 but is £32 on Switch? The PC and Switch version are the same versions with the PC having way more options for performance. Price gouging at it's finest.
it not ssx but it snowboard game to pick up anyway but still hopefully for ssx for the Nintendo switch 🤗🤔and glade they have been makeing some good sport games for the Nintendo switch lately so yay for that sweet as and I am getting a good to great library of Nintendo switch games so far and hopefully get many more to come and see how it gets🤗😝😜🤭😋🥳🎁🎇
While I agree the price is a tad high for what's on offer, the price being higher than the mobile version is fair. The devs have added a bunch of new content *and* completely overhauled the graphics. So you're not just getting a plain mobile port for the increased price. You're getting more content and updated graphics, too.
@@nicked_fenyx oh i agree. I don't think it should be the same price as the mobile version. But it's more than most big name exclusive switch Indies. That's pretty ridiculous
It looks like a skiing version of Lonely Mountains Downhill which is one of my favourite games. I still might wait for a sale though.
my thoughts exactly 👊
There is a version of it for smartphones, I don't know the differences but it's really good and free so you can try that and see if you like the full experience from the switch.
I was thinking exactly the same thing myself 😎👍
For sure it’s over priced but I love the game style and aesthetic so I bought it for the hell of it. It’s been really fun
That was my thought- I have it on iOS and play with the razed kishi but I want this physically on switch or a really good eshop sale- it is a cool game -
The snow graphics really caught my eye.
I'll get it now that it's on sale for $5.24! (as of Dec.14.2024)
Ty. Gonna do the same bud

I will die on the hill with you for SSX1-3. But let us all forget the evil that was Ssx on your (4) and the PS3 “reboot”

I Have Been Playing This Game For 2 Years Now I'm Really Excited

I’ve probably logged 50 hours on iOS, and I’m double dipping. Such a chill game.
What Im thinking
Man the diorama style is sick!
That’s what I’m thinking to do you have almost the exact same story as me!
The price is a bit much for me, especially for a digital game. I'll wait for a sale.
Looks really cool and I love Lonely Mountain Downhill on Switch, this game seems similar. The price tho... $35 does seem a bit high. I would have guess $20-$25 for this game but will definitely give it a look once on sale.
Its on sale now
Great review! Gonna pick this one up as well while its on sale. Looks like you can just chill and zone out. W00t!

Both this game and Down Hill are games I enjoy between those big games. Refreshers that will stand the test of time.

Seeing your footage and heating your view I think I’ve made a great choice. Hope I bump into you on the slopes one day lol
I really want this but not at the purchase price….I’ll wait for a sale
The art style is nice but looks a bit repetitive for me.
Aah, yes. Drawing something on the snow. I kid you not, the first thing I did when I played AC: Valhalla was draw a "sword" on the snow.

It is a great chill out game!
Gonna wait for a sale but look nice and chill!
If this was a 15 or 20$ game I would pick it up at launch but 35 feels to pricey for what we get. It looks good and I do feel like a lot phone games are underrated.
Haven’t played it for Switch but on Mobile I think $35 is worth it and even I’m a cheapie.

The true sequel to "Horace goes Skiing".
I’m grabbing it no question ask take my money think of it as this we don’t have ssx or steep so this wat we got as of now great review Alex 👍🏾
Thanks for the review!.. Might wait for it to go on sale.😊
Looks very fun but sounds like it needs a steep discount before i would purchase! Thanks, Alex!
Hehehehehe. STEEP discount. I see what you did there.
I am now sold after watching it and it’s on sale. So thank you
What is the music used in the first 1min of the video?
How do you unlock ski pass?
Hi Scott, this looks great, do you think it's worth the price? Would you want to keep going back over and over?
It's a nice looking game. Will keep an eye out for a sale to add to an ever increasing backlog.
lol know how you feel about backlog I will go back to my backlog from time to time but I do have many more great games coming out to aswell I just don't like to Ruch every game I get so got something to do and to keep me busy to take my mind of my up and down life
I wanted to check out this game too! Looks really nice. :)
Alex do you get these games in advance of the public or do you just get it when it comes out and play it for a while and do a review immediately?

@@SwitchCorner so cool, if I had the hardware and know how I would love to have a gaming channel
i just bought it 10 euro ,has a discount :)
are you enjoying it?
@@stormahead so far so good, very stress relief
This is like the perfect chill game after beating a difficult one but that price tag is a turn off.
Seeing this, im wanting a modern snowkids :_(
What an odd price?

Better than what the Amico is doing.

FIS WORLD CUP SKI on iOS should def come to Nintendo or PC
Would absolutely buy for 19.99 but no way for $35. Assuming it will be on sale after initial cash grab
My wallet.... Hold! HOLD!
I just picked this up on the Japanese eshop. It's much cheaper there.
What was the Yen price?
@@SwitchCorner 2000 Yen
Saw this on Steam for $17.99 and got excited, grabbed my Switch to buy it and.... its $35 on Switch. This pisses me off. Guess I will wait for a sale.

Wow, at time of recording, there was no price on steam so I presumed they had gone that same direction with the price. That's a bit dodgy...
it not ssx but it snowboard game to pick up anyway but still hopefully for ssx for the Nintendo switch 🤗🤔and glade they have been makeing some good sport games for the Nintendo switch lately so yay for that sweet as and I am getting a good to great library of Nintendo switch games so far and hopefully get many more to come and see how it gets🤗😝😜🤭😋🥳🎁🎇
Far enough away to make your character the size of an ant [Imagine in handheld] Better have a big TV
Yeah. That price though. Nah. Not for me this one. 😅
Well if it’s only the price get it when it goes on sale. Your missing out though!
So it's another fucking mobile game
Its been a mobile game for ages.
Camera angle is trash. I want 3rd person, not Birds Eye view from the nose bleeds.
Way to expensive for what it is. Especially when you can get it for 5$ on phone..

1990s graphics. Ridiculous. Don't waste money it's not worth $60.
It never was $60...
