Love the video, I learned things I didn't know but will be mindful of going forward.
AS warriors unite! 💪
I’m hoping in a few months I can decrease meds with nutrition changes . I did notice pasteurized milk and se oils cause me flares, not cheese though
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with AS and chronic illness. As a fellow person with chronic pain who also has kids, how do you motivate yourself to workout through the pain? Pain has discouraged me from doing so many things, and my energy is still through the floor. So just thinking about exercise overwhelms me.
Motivation has been super hard. With AS, the more I move the better I feel overall, but I'm still working on it. For me, it's been a lot of mental work reframing what I think of as exercise. Instead of seeing exercise as a huge task ( change, go to gym, full body workout, home shower, etc ) I have broken it up into smaller tasks throughout the day. ( Morning stretching, parking a little further at the store to up steps, walking laps inside my house, evening yoga or Qigong, etc.)
Overall, I'm just focusing on the tiniest goals and recognizing that 100% of my effort can look different each day. In this case, slow and steady is what I'm aiming for.
Have you tried dietary supplements ect . For me a low carb diet is giving me more energy
I have. I'm starting to work with a functional health coach to help me customize what I need.
