I just had a mammogram and ultrasound yesterday because I found a lump a looooong time ago and my health anxiety and phone anxiety kind of paralyzed me. I’d pretty much convinced myself that I was going to die and leave my son motherless before I went in to get it checked. Turns out it was just a lump, it’s very common especially in new mothers and especially mums who breastfeed and I’ve never felt SO RELIEVED. The doctor said “don’t worry about it, see you when you’re 40”. I’m glad you’re getting yourself checked, but please don’t worry yourself sick over it. No matter what you’re going to be just fine ❤
My sister (29) and I (38) *both* found a lump. Turns out I have cancer (stage 2). I am going to be fine and am almost finished with chemo. Yay! During my sister's exam, doctor found a second lump. Turns out her lumps were cysts - confirmed by ultrasound. Either way, I know you are going to be okay! You got this! Glad to hear you are taking your health seriously, I have heard too many stories of people dismissing things and paying a price. Better to be safe than sorry when it comes to health.

I think it was after the birth of my second who was exclusively breastfed and was a hearty eater so I was severely lacking slee and downing the hell out of anything with caffeine. I was check with a mammogram, ultrasound and then a follow up a couple of months later and the lumps went away. So glad yours did too! WE’VE GOT THIS!!!!! Love ya’ll!!!
You could raise up the mobile so it's out of reach. Also many baby monitors have an option to mount it on the wall so it can look down at the crib. I didn't want to get one that attached to the crib cause baby will be standing and grabbing everything before you know it! Another thing to keep up with is when to move the crib down. I think when baby is showing signs of rolling, signs of sitting, and then standing are the main milestones that correspond to moving it.
Hugs!! Try not to worry too much about the lump. I think we all find a lump at least once in our lives and most of the time it’s nothing to be concerned about. You’re doing the right thing by having it check. It takes great courage to do so. You are being a wonderful example for your son but facing your fears and going. Unfortunately we let our minds take over and run wild with the possibilities and in the end most of the time it’s not worth the worry. I found two lumps in my right armpit/breast about two year ago and they did a scan on it and it ended up being nothing and they went away within about a month. I also had a giant cyst on my left ovary (the size of a large grapefruit) they they were concerned could have been something else. They did surgery to remove it and tested it and it wasn’t anything to be concerned about. The doctor will give you peace of mind. You will look back on this a week from now and be relieved that you got it over with. Hugs!!! We’re all here with you!
I had a similar issue following the birth of my last baby. I got it looked at and my doctor thought it was nothing to worry about but still did a mammogram to be sure. All came back fine. It is a fibrous cyst which is very common. It is worse with increased caffeine intake.
It's ridiculous how much caffeine affects our tatas. I'm getting my period today, so my breasts were huge, painful and sensitive these past days, they've finally calmed down over night. Now I'm on my second cup of coffee and my boobs are getting very angry again 🥲
You've definatley done the right thing, I had a lump in january and the docs were a pain to get into but the hospital were fantastic, just had a little scan and reassured me it was nothing. So don't worry if your referred it's best to know what it definatley is. But do not let them fob you off because of your age. Any boob of any age can get a lump. I had a lump just after my milk dryed out and it was a blocked milk duct were the last bit of milk hadn’t left there are loads of things it could be best to go doctors but try not to worry xx
Girl you are definitely not alone in this world. I have struggled with depression and anxiety since I was about 14. I’m all grown up and still find it difficult most days. Winter is the absolute worst. I’ve been told I also suffer from s.a.d. seasonal affective disorder. It’s pretty much because of the daylight hours being less your body doesn’t get to produce as much serotonin as you typically need to help you feel happy. Some places offer light therapy to help with it. Also in regards to Koazy and all his little clothes. I went through the same thing with my son. I ultimately ended up keeping everything from birth to 3 months. I also held onto a few items from every other stage because I too can not let things go. But I would not budge on getting rid of the real tiny outfits. However, if you plan on having more babies it isn’t a bad idea to hang on to things. Especially things that were worn only once or twice or still have tags on them. You will get it all sorted out and I promise that everything you are going through there is always someone else going through it too. P.s. saying prayers for a positive doctor visit for your lump. It’s probably nothing and a result in major hormonal shifts you have been through in the last year and a half.

My doctor felt a lump in my breast and it was all good. After you have a baby sometimes it can imbalance your hormones, so it's not really a lump...its like lumpy dense tissue. Meaning, DO NOT STRESS. It could be nothing and you worried and stressed like crazy for nothing.

It's crazy. I also recently started to struggle with health anxiety. I convinced myself i have breast cancer, heart disease, skin cancer etc. And i hate visiting doctors, i have extreme phobia especially of needles. So it's really hard and stressful. If nothing, i feel like this stress is going to cause something. I've been following you for a long time and first time i heard you talk about the lump i thought that was a sign to get checked. It's called sundowners.... It happens a lot in the winter time because it happens to me, I am disabled though... Most people with some kind of anxiety or disability suffer a lot from sundowners.... They suggest getting a sun lamp or doing exactly what you're doing talking to someone that you feel comfortable speaking to. 😊

I have almost the same lump only a bit higher. Mine is directly under my collarbone but I can move it up and down. I‘ve had it for about three years now and haven’t been to the doctors about it but my grandmother was a doctor when she was younger and she said it was just some sort of stuff that is always in your body and nothing to worry about. At first I was worried anyways but nothing happened. I know that I can’t calm you with that because yours could be something else but maybe it helps for you to hear that others have similar issues. I don’t have health anxiety and can’t imagine how hard that must be for you, but I wish you good luck. ❤️
I struggle everyday from my health anxiety it's very severe I've been dealing with it for years. I got to a point where I became very depressed because I really thought something was seriously wrong with me. I just know you'll be okay and everything will be just fine you got this
I have a lump now it was nothing it was benign It's very, very common. IT was just a fatty deposit. So take care you should be fine. You're doing great 🙂
Omg I had that and it was an infection because I slept on it and I had to take tablets four a day for a week but I couldn’t take them so I left it and it just went away by itself but it might be a cyst but I looked online and it’s regular after breastfeeding xx

Hey Liana, I just found out the thing I was struggling for so long was health anxiety. If possible I recommend CBT therapy, it was great for me and it changed everything. If not, have a watch of Andrew Huberman's podcast called Anxiety Stress response something like that, its great because he goes into depth with practical ways to ease anxiety in the moment when it happens, not a magical sequence of meditation and yoga and stars aligning
It just amazes me every time I hear things like this about the healthcare system in most “1st world countries” like UK, USA… I tell you I come from Brazil and even though there are lots of bad things I could never ever complain about the hospital and clinics. You don’t have to make an appointment neither have to pay a thing to see the doctor. I mean , you could simply have a headache and they would totally do a checkup on you and stuff. I guess nowhere is perfect but honestly having a functional health system should be least.

Connor should make all of the calls to make appointments since it is hard for you. We do it here in the US all the time. My mother hasn't made an appointment in many years. I make them all.
I've had two lumps that both turned out to be cysts. I was told that if they are easy to move around they are very likely benign. Wishing you all of the luck 🤞.
It might be something simple like a clogged milk duct or a simple cyst. I know how scary this is. I have had different things that needed to be biopsied. The important thing is that you found it!💖 I saved my clothes for my later kids and even when I was done I had a chest of baby clothes. You can get your baby clothes made into a quilt.😊
I also have health anxiety, especially since I’ve had my children. I have actually recently found a lump in my four month old hand that I really want to get checked out. Her appointment is next week I’m hoping they’ll tell me. It’s just a cyst that will go away on its own.❤
If you feel like you have something that you feel urgently needs to be investigated such as a lump in your breast you could always got to the emergency department if you can not get an appointment in a timely manner
I had the exact same thing on the exact same place as you small bead thing moving about and not attached which is a good sign. Mine turned out to be gritty fat as they called it. It broke down once I started to breast feed and no longer there 🤷🏻♀️. Hope you’re ok though xx
This blows my mind. For all the crap the world says about the US Healthcare system, it’s actually illegal to turn a patient away like that and say “sorry no appointments” in the US. If I had an issue like yours, I could get into my doctor the same day or following morning depending what time of day I called. Doctors in the US are required to keep open slots for “immediate need” appointments. They also use a phone service so people answer the phones 24/7.

(Nice sweatshirt!! 😊) I had a lump that I found and the radiology place I go to called me every day until I set up an appointment- perk of US healthcare… downside? We have to pay for most of our services. Except mammograms, my insurance covers those.
It makes me feel good to know I’m not the only mom who struggles with health anxiety after having a baby. It’s been so exhausting and difficult. I’m slowly getting better and I’m trying so hard for my husband and daughter 😞 good luck with everything!

I have terrible health anxiety bc of my PTSD & im sorry you’re having to deal with this, I know how hard that can be. I had to go in for a lump a few years ago and it turned out to be totally hormonal, just a lump of hormonal cells or something but they just gave me some meds and it was gone, so hoping it’s something simple like that for you!! What a stupid system! I live in Luxemburg and all I need to do is call my doctor and ask for an appointment, he always has 1 or 2 emergency spots, in case it's an urgent issue that needs to be checked assap but for normal issues I can get an appointment for any day.
If it makes you feel any better I have a lump in the same place I got it checked out in 2021 had an ultrasound on my breast it came back as a fatty tissue lump (I have small breasts tho) I was so confused because I didn't feel like my boobs were growing as they should, they told me not to worry I would of like more information but hey oh welcome to the NHS

Hey Liana, I just found out the thing I was struggling for so long was health anxiety. If possible I recommend CBT therapy, it was great for me and it changed everything. If not, have a watch of Andrew Huberman's podcast called Anxiety Stress response something like that, its great because he goes into depth with practical ways to ease anxiety in the moment when it happens, not a magical sequence of meditation and yoga and stars aligning

It just amazes me every time I hear things like this about the healthcare system in most “1st world countries” like UK, USA… I tell you I come from Brazil and even though there are lots of bad things I could never ever complain about the hospital and clinics. You don’t have to make an appointment neither have to pay a thing to see the doctor. I mean , you could simply have a headache and they would totally do a checkup on you and stuff.
I guess nowhere is perfect but honestly having a functional health system should be least.

Ilysmmm Liana ur probs not gonna see this but Ik I just know it's not cancer bc ur a brave girl! Nd definitely strong Ilysm!!!!!

I've had two lumps that both turned out to be cysts. I was told that if they are easy to move around they are very likely benign. Wishing you all of the luck 🤞.
It might be something simple like a clogged milk duct or a simple cyst. I know how scary this is. I have had different things that needed to be biopsied. The important thing is that you found it!💖 I saved my clothes for my later kids and even when I was done I had a chest of baby clothes. You can get your baby clothes made into a quilt.😊

I also have health anxiety, especially since I’ve had my children. I have actually recently found a lump in my four month old hand that I really want to get checked out. Her appointment is next week I’m hoping they’ll tell me. It’s just a cyst that will go away on its own.❤

If you feel like you have something that you feel urgently needs to be investigated such as a lump in your breast you could always got to the emergency department if you can not get an appointment in a timely manner
I had the exact same thing on the exact same place as you small bead thing moving about and not attached which is a good sign. Mine turned out to be gritty fat as they called it. It broke down once I started to breast feed and no longer there 🤷🏻♀️. Hope you’re ok though xx

This blows my mind. For all the crap the world says about the US Healthcare system, it’s actually illegal to turn a patient away like that and say “sorry no appointments” in the US. If I had an issue like yours, I could get into my doctor the same day or following morning depending what time of day I called. Doctors in the US are required to keep open slots for “immediate need” appointments. They also use a phone service so people answer the phones 24/7.

We have to pay for most of our services. Except mammograms, my insurance covers those.

It makes me feel good to know I’m not the only mom who struggles with health anxiety after having a baby. It’s been so exhausting and difficult. I’m slowly getting better and I’m trying so hard for my husband and daughter 😞 good luck with everything!

I have terrible health anxiety bc of my PTSD & im sorry you’re having to deal with this, I know how hard that can be. I had to go in for a lump a few years ago and it turned out to be totally hormonal, just a lump of hormonal cells or something but they just gave me some meds and it was gone, so hoping it’s something simple like that for you!! Best of luck💓
What a stupid system! I live in Luxemburg and all I need to do is call my doctor and ask for an appointment, he always has 1 or 2 emergency spots, in case it's an urgent issue that needs to be checked assap but for normal issues I can get an appointment for any day.
If it makes you feel any better I have a lump in the same place I got it checked out in 2021 had an ultrasound on my breast it came back as a fatty tissue lump (I have small breasts tho) I was so confused because I didn't feel like my boobs were growing as they should, they told me not to worry I would of like more information but hey oh welcome to the NHS
