Did the Cap de Formentor end of July last summer from Port de Pollenca. Started at dawn to beat the heat, amazing at that time of day before the traffic and catching sunrise, it was a perfect ride.
That's all I need, just come back and unpacked and then catch up with your channel and you are in MALLORCA 😥😥🤣 good call on the villa as prices going silly for stay in Port Pollensa and your location looked great.
been back a week after 10 days there . cant wait to go again . did the fanenia and down passed the garage on day 2 (easter sunday) it was rammed . not safe at all . car coming head on around bends overtaking . glad to get down . some of the group i was with did the lighthouse the day before and said the same . went last october and it was much quieter and warmer too . will avoid easter in the future .

Drone footage?! Sick! Plus no chest cam! Whole ride done holding it?! Insane. Let me just descend at 70kph, overtaking cars while holding this stick! You're dedicated to your art, Thomas. 👏
@@TheCyclingTattooist it paid off, Thomas. It works for the benefit of the viewer, that's for sure. No idea how it works for you cycling, but you never appear to be fazed by any of it. Loved the vid and the footage. Those cars would've cheesed me off! So annoying on a descent!
I’ve just done spring classic sportive in derby ! Makes my ride look dull wet and boring ! I mean it was !! but this vid makes it even worse ! Looks epic . Plus another awesome vid .
Jeez I’ve never seen so much traffic on that lighthouse road before. 😮. 20 years ago you might see a dozen cars in total on that trip. The tunnel was unlit and you had to just aim for the dot of light at the end of the tunnel whilst riding in pitch black 😂 Still, it’s a stunning ride.
I recently went in April 2023. The rough weather closed the roads for repair for a while, but you could get in at around 4pm. As the roads were generally closed, combined with the low tourist season, it was wonderfully quiet! If you’re still there, please try Basico Gastrobar or Steakhouse in old Alcudia!
Brilliant! Just got back 2 weeks ago, absolutely amazing cycling. I'm still buzzing. I was only there for a week but managed to cycle all of the significant climbs around the North. Can't wait to go back. Enjoy!
Superb video Thomas, you inspired me to visit Mallorca in a previous video of yours, I went on my own in March for a week and it was amazing, I'm sure many more will be inspired to go after this video. Thanks for making ur videos really enjoy them 🚴♂️😎👍
We set off at 5.30am when we did this in April, great time to go and no traffic. The light house was closed last year, love Mallorca having a change next year and trying Girona
8:09 - Last year in September the route to the lighthouse was closed to the cars, there was a shuttle bus from the parking lot to the top. It was much nicer cycling experience!
What camera setup did you use? Great footage! We were on Cap Formentor a month or two ago before they did the road! Looks perfect now, can’t wait to go back!
Great video, but the climb to the light house with all those cars what pain , that would put me off going. I would have to go up there at a really early morning to miss those sad car drivers.
