  • In farewell to Orphan Black I thought I'd make a quick video summarizing the shows legacy of standing against modernist ideas regarding strict adherence to ideological thought and institutions.

Allison actually learns to be less controlling (to a degree) and accept things into her life that fall outside her accepted norm.

Alison's mom is such a passive-agressive control freak, it took Alison some time to start breaking away from that mindset herself.

I want to hug you for making this video. In less than 6 minutes, you gave me a wonderful new perspective on one of my favorite shows of all time.

Best series! I don’t know how OB Echoes can compare the original set a high bar.

Where do you get liberation from idealogy with more idealogy. Anti is an idealogy. Positivity to the point of negativity ,back to positivity. Back to Nature.

I completely disagree with your take on the show. Orphan Black is not about ideaology and it is certainly not about how going too far down on ideaology is dangerous.... Orphan Black is about power and bodily autonomy. Your take on the show reminds me of high school teachers who told me that Kafka's The Metamophosis was about the meaninglessness of life when the text itself is actually about dehumanization under capitalism.

I thought it was about him being Jewish and how anti-semites see him.
I agree that it isn't really about ideology too though. He's just looking at the concept of a character arc and calling it ideology. There's no right or wrong answer I guess, and OB is about many different things, but ideology wouldn't be my top pick.

Honestly, everytime I think about it it breaks my heart that more people don't know about this show. It's so amazing and unlike anything I've ever seen.
    Plus Tatiana is 🤌💋
If I had a bigger platform I would do everything I could to get people to watch it.
I heard that they're working on another show in the same universe but idk. Tats acting and the sisters story arc was too perfect to be duplicated, in my opinion
