Fantastic work, all I care about is working tables as well LOL. One question, what is the height from the floor to the lockdown bar or plunger buttons? I'll be damned if I can find any reference on GRS website on height to playfield with legs. While I really want to build a 32" vPin cabinet, I have not been able to find anyone who sells one in the US (only in the UK and AUS). Is yours comfortable to play, or did you have to prop it up on stands? Thx -John
Awesome review. Pulled the trigger on one myself for a first build. That said, what sort of PC requirements do I need to meet. Do I need a nuk i3 or i5? Graphics card? I am doing the three screens setup with solenoids etc so assume I’ll need a bit of power? Any feedback appreciated. Cheers
Did you have to decase your screens to make them fit inside the cab? Or did they fit ok with their original casing? Mainly curious about the playfield screen.
They’re still in the case. You do have to buy a monitor that has the inputs facing down and not on the back of the monitor facing out. The mount will be in the way.
Love the artwork , something gotte be done about the speaker slits, maybe put speaker covers over them. They are using the same panels in their regular arcades .
@@retrolizardscustomarcades thanks for the response! Did you run into any trouble with the back screen and dmd screen regarding running at different resolutions and refresh rates than the 27 inch playfield?
You said it took about two months to get the software side of things working. How long do you think it would have taken if baller Installer were around when you assembled this? I'm thinking of using that when I get my cab.
Sorry for all the posts for you but I think I can help you with the finding the artwork and everything , install the baller popper front end. I swear to you it find all the artwork for you for every table and if it can’t find it , it lets you record them from your table right there. You take a 5 second clip and then you have all the artwork instead of you having to search all over the internet for it. It drove me nuts, that’s why when I heard you say it , I feel your pain. Trust me and try installing the baller version of popper . It will solve your missing icon, dmd, video, loading screen art, everything. As long as the table works and will load the front end allows you to create the art right there . I wish I had a link for you . But just if you search how to add artwork to baller popper . You’ll see how easy. The guy is terry (forget his last name) it’s so easy to go after you watch it you’ll kick yourself for spending so much time trying to find all the art yourself. Hope it helps brother .
I built a bran new pc for my pinball machine, liquid cooled 10 core 20 threads @ 4.5ghz, 32gb of ram, 3 1TB , m.2 drives (all on sale at Bestbuy for $89 now they are $105) but it’s sitting there with no video card lol
you dont need all that in a pc to play pinball games .shit i have a 7 year old gaming computer running pinball games and run games great .i never have any problems judst saying
@@funtyes1970 I’m not using just for my pinball machine . It runs both my pinball machine and my bigbox build on my stand up arcade. It also has a RTX 3090 in it. I had two choices pay $1000 for a 5 year old gtx 1080 ti or $1499 for a brand new rtx 3090 FE. It was a no brainer for me. I enjoy building more then playing any games. So I’ll never buy the $200 Optiplex from Amazon everyone buys for their arcade builds. For me building is most of the fun . I also am in a unique position then most so it makes sense for me. I wouldn’t recommend it for others though.
@@retrolizardscustomarcades Which monitor are you using as a playfield. I believe the hard part is finding the right width as it is limited to 16". is that correct?
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
I've been thinking about getting the chrome tmolding but it looks kind of sketchy around the 90 degree corners.
Agree. Thanks again for answering all my questions and all the help
Nice cabinet and graphic design. My first look at it complete 😍

It’s about 4feet. It’s a perfect comfortable height to play. I’m 6ft tall so it’s about you to my waist line.
Nice review. I'd looked into these machines in the past and make need to take a closer looking at some point.

WOW!! Very nice...GREAT job man!!!
Thank you sir
Like the artwork
Looks good, I'd like to see more of this!
There are a couple more videos on my channel.

I have a GRS 42" - I put speakers covers over mine - looks better than the CNC cutouts
When I bought mine it came with legs - with a choice of Black or chrome
I am looking to do a similar build, what resolution and refresh rate did you use for the 27 inch monitor?
Acer nitro 75hz 1ms

Which monitor did you use for the back glass on your build?
Great job buddy!!!
Thank you
Im having trouble finding a 7" dmd screen. Which did you use?

The media took me months. I used the baller installer. Baller takes 10 mins to install
looks great!!!
Thank you.

The graphic file?

Did you do the molding yourself or is that the way GRS did it?
That’s my personal butchering lol
@@retrolizardscustomarcades Thanks. I'm ordering one soon, just wanted to make sure LOL. I will definitely have them put it in. I suck at that stuff.
@@propwash6880 I decided to put it on after I built it. The proper way with their cabs is to before you put it together. It’s basically step 1 lol

Honestly I would rather have this than the at games pinball for the price.
If you’re going to build I agree. If you’re going to mod, I say just build from scratch.
If no plans to mod, ALP is def the best choice over 1up.
