@gilaxia DreamColor is an option only. If the actual model is equipped with the option, there must be an additional sticker at the upper right hand corner of the display rim. Distributors usually put DreamColor as an option in the description. So if you run a search you might only catch the possibility.
@PrimeNetworking Yes, it is silly. And here is the reason: HP gives you permission and instructions to replace the Hard Drive. I also spoke with a different HP Engineer who confirmed that it was "Sales talk" to get you to buy the HP SSD.... that in fact, the warranty was NOT violated, however, if you needed to ship it back for warranty work you needed to return it to original factor hardware -- so keep the old Hard Drive around. Also if the change out caused damage THAT is not covered.
I bought this computer for gaming and so far it has worked without a hiccup, exceeding my expectations! Of course, the only two games I play that are in any way graphically demanding are StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 so that's not much to speak of but it works well for my needs and replaces my 2.5 year old macbook (which could run neither of those games in medium settings at all) very perfectly.
@KalimerO258 You will be needing a new docking station. The smaller cheap on is VB041UT if you search froogle for that part number you will find many for $120. I bought the larger docking station NZ223UT so that I can add my CDROM drive to the docking station, leaving my CDROM slot in the notebook open to add a larger hard drive part number LX733AA since the solid state drives are relatively small.
@ImLDSRU2 It really isn't silly. If you went and bought a Honda, then took the engine out of it and put in a Toyota motor, what do you think would happen to the warranty? Also easy fix. Now that you just sank $2000 into a laptop and SSD drive, just store the 500 GB drive that came in the HP for a rainy day. It will have a clean base install of the OS which might be useful in determining a hardware problem down the road. If you need warranty support, just pop in the drive it came first.
@vz1995 Yes, all of these Elitebooks with the 8560w model indicator have a backlit keyboard. Finally from HP. Much better than the cheesy LED pop up light on previous Elitebooks
@Joepie60 perhaps it is not standard. HP lists it as standard in the quickspecs. Maybe you only get that if you buy the high end ones with the i7 CPUs, which would explain also why you show less cores. If you don't know what you are doing, ask a local repair shop to open the back panel for you. Anything you do in there can void your warranty.

How well would this handle BF3? Or world of tanks if you know what that game is. Because I'm looking for a laptop that can handle them at medium graphics, this laptop is one of my favorites so far
@PrimeNetworking my 8560w hp elitebook does not have a backlit keyboard, nor does it have 8 cores (only 4) and 4gb of memory instead of 8, are you sure these things are standard on this laptop? Also do you think it is safe for anyone to open up the back hatch or should this be done by an expert? i have had this laptop for less than a month now and in the past week it has shut down 2 times because of the videocard, do you know if this error accurs more often in this model? still an awesome laptop

And why can't open control panel until 4 minute sometimes or why freeze my laptop if I do photoshop while try virtualbox? And why can't do halo 1 (8 years old game) while I rendering a 10 minute old film? I haven't got this laptop, but mine include intel core i7 too.
Anyone know if the connector of docking station is still the same? I've got docking station for HP 8710p and I'm not sure of compatibility with this notebook. Please let me know.

Don't buy it for gaming I did that mistake loads up games in low res screen but overall it's a beast of laptop...very heavy like nailed to my desktop but nevertheless very good
Wow you really dont know what you are talking about!! "A video port" that's firewire man! And it supports 32gigs, not 64GB. It's an old video but maybe learn about what you are working with before making a video. Also maybe invest in a tripod!

@pushpanathannn it can only talk to two monitors total. So I can add two external monitors to my docking station but then it disables my laptop screen

HP Sales Rep Tells me that if you swap out the drive for SSD it violates your warranty on the WHOLE Machine.
