Drumeo should patrocine this guy, he deserve a eletro drum in complete kit. He's talented... The guy plays buckets and pans and plates in the street, frying pan, electronic drums in his hand, it becomes an electronic samba school without exaggerating anything. If they give him the acoustic drums, a studio will come, the guy is from another dimension, he will go far.
@koolass koolass Agreed. I understand someone playing buckets out of nessesity if they can't afford drums but playing them just to be playing them sounds ridiculous to me
You're right it's not about the gear, but he's limited to this gear and won't be able to learn any new techniques. Also he won't able to use these techniques on a professional kit.
@William Fotiou would like to see you or your cat do something like this.. he has skills that can be translated to actual drums . It's his timing ability that is what people love about him , not the timbre of the buckets. I'm sure you have no clue what drumming is all about. Don't mock what you don't know.
@William Fotiou it's really not. It's still percussion. Plus he obviously has an understanding of basic rudiments and timing. Those can be applied to an acoustic kit. Also, would love to see your cat's progress
Funny though that an $8000 drumkit is really just pots and pans when it comes to shells. People dont even realize how much companies marketing have bamboozled consumers to making them think those insanely overpriced high end series drum shells are worth the money when shell material yields little to unheard results especially in full set play and with a band, because they cant or don't do their own research. You play the head not the shell. It's physics. The shell material only contributes to roughly 20% of the sound. Trust me I was a believer too before being shown the evidence. Look up drum shell comparison here on youtube. God Bless!
True, but imported woods and the engineering that goes into making them look and sound nice does validate some of the costs. Definitely marketing makes a difference when it comes to brand names and high cost. More expensive is definitely not necessarily better.
A couple of college friends got married and had two children. They noticed something about their son while he was a toddler. Kid just wouldn't stop beating on things around the house. So, they had the little boy tested, and lo and behold, he had musical skills. He grew up, went to Juilliard, and is now an orchestral percussionist.
Mom: Where you going today son? Son: Going to Flee Market to pick up a drum kit. Mom: What's your budget? Son: $5 Mom: Can you pick me up some PVC pipe? Son: What for? Mom: I want to learn to play the Flute!
You can see he has very good control in terms of leading with both hands as he's a lefty, but sometimes has to lead with his right hand on the cymbals... This guy is a great drummer 💯
The people that didn’t like this, must not be Drummers or musicians of any kind! You know the ones, who wished they had a go at an instrument, but never did, and imagined if they did they would have been the best in the word. Awesome job Mate.
So Matt - what's on your bucket list ?
Yes.
10/10 😂
69 likes, ur welcome
oof
This mics cost money more than 1000 buckets
He should've hit it and say: "oh sorry, thought it was the cowbell"
Atul Joshy Sennheiser e602 II cheaper but also has good quality of recording
Well duh 🙄 😂
Fixing your Grammar costs more than those mics
@@xxgamer7062 knowing the difference between spelling and grammar is priceless.
That guy practiced his rudiments...
HalfLife(Ger) And you can see how musical rudiments are
Not many flams though
Fluidity is a good word for him
@@spartandrew8672 don't need flams to groove my guy
16-th and 32-nd singles only
the sound engineer did a great job👏👏👏
The Home Depot paint department should endorse him.
Imagine they just be sending him a bunch buckets lol
Lol
hahahha
😂
bruh he finally go to drumeo to play some real high quality drums and this is what you give him
חחח מה שנכון נכון
Lol!

Proof it's not about the gear.
Quinn Humphrey why? Are you PICKING on his gear?
Don’t judge. 👊🏻

...until someone else starts playing through an amp.
True, but playing a guitar with strings 2 inches off the frets is a nightmare.
Companies should just pay people to do this for no reason other than it is mind blowing
It is the most annoying thing about Fremont Street in Las Vegas. This guy has talent, but there are far to many bucket drummers in this world.
@William Fotiou I guess you're an excellent drummer

Saw this guy perform in Leicester Square London, he was great. He included my 9 year old daughter in his street performance , she was so pleased
- Mom, buy me a drumset!
- We have a drumset at home.
Very true
Careful, her pots and pans may suddenly vanish.
You forgot the:" Drumset at home: "
Unfortunately no skills at home too though
I’d kill to have this guy in my band. ..... and I’m the drummer
lol...
Better than matt gartska
Tiger Stripe ok?
Lol best comment right here
😂
A great drummer can make pots and pans sound awesome. A poor drummer can make a $8000 drum kit sound like pots and pans...
Johnny that’s an excellent quote 😂
LOL, true!

I'm the latter... :-(
I wanna see him play a kit
It's not the The Bucket Boy, but this will give you a vague idea of how a street drummer performs on a kit:

Same here.

I used to watch this guy lot,it's so cool to see him at namm😄

Let's finally give the boy his drum set - he really seems to be into it..
LP will sell these as a new line of street percussion.
😂😂
Just saw this dude in Vegas like 4 minutes ago and tipped him 50 bucks. Fucking amazingly talented and such great energy!!! Hell yeah!!!!
That boot-muted crash on the hand truck is absolutely genius. It sounds great and works perfectly as a highhat substitute.
I'll never look at a bucket the same way again! 💪
That is so cool!!! I love drumming and street drumming is super cool to me!
Who needs a drum set when you have access to pots/pans and buckets. This guy was outstanding in this solo. i LOVED IT
My lower back hurts only watching this.
Great performance tho
It's funny how they're at a show selling expensive drumsets and this dude is putting them all to shame on a his mums pots and pans.
This is one of the sickest drum videos ever. AMAZING TALENT!! WOW!!! Love Drumeo ✊
Tell me you can do this without telling me you can do this art. Crazy talent, Monet’ of music. Appreciate what he gave us. 🙏
His coordination is incredible!
Me: “i want a drum set”

Simply awesome and inspirational to me and I’m sure to millions out there. All the best...
These bucket drummers are always so great with rudiments, paradiddles, etc... So impressive and curious.
Great demonstration of rudiments and coordination💯
These were the things I did when I was so little! Good memories! Those rolls were crazy too!
Bucket sales just skyrocketed
“maybe if i get a new drum set it will push me to practice more”
Matt Pretty: exists
Glad to see he is still playing
The drumsticks might even cost more than the buckets lol
No cheating pure drumming👍🏾
Amazing man!!
every manufacturer is showing off their new gear and here comes Drumeo with buckets. best NAMM video ever \m/

cool to know i’ve actually played that green pan, i met him in edinburgh and he was sick
Amazing! 🤗
Absolutely amazing! That guy is awesome.
My wife's been looking for our cowbell ever since I watched this video...
The opening sounds like Always by Blink 182.
Nice street drumming in your house bro
Proof right here that stick work is essential for any type of drums to sound good.
Awesome Drumming skills, the Bucket Boy has, so Cool, so Good ♡
Such creativity with that hi hat xD Great!!!
Wuaooo!!! Very Good!!!! You're The Best!💪
I love how he's even sitting on a bucket. 😆
Earthworks mic on a bucket. Rad

That was INSANE!!!
I would like to see Bucket Boy on some dtum set. 🥁🥁 Amazing hands rudiments on those buckets and cymbals. 👍👍👍🙂
Anyone thought the intro sounded like Always by Blink 182?
Yeah i was thinking that haha
Very talented🙌🏻
My brain: "Always" by Blink-182
True af😎🤘
Yes
I love it!! Now give him a kit already!!
terry bozzio is going to buy that kit
razz wilmz and add like 24 buckets in a tight arch - two more ladders - and 17 pans... 😂🤣
Left hand control is insane!
You can see he has very good control in terms of leading with both hands as he's a lefty, but sometimes has to lead with his right hand on the cymbals... This guy is a great drummer 💯

What did I just watch? This guys great.
Amazing !
the bucket drum samples coming soon
kinda reminds me of the highschool drumline beating buckets downtown on friday nights ..
This guy is OFF THE CHAIN!!!
The drum kit that he used cost a total of 900 dollars AUD because of the frying pan, the cymbals and the pots! But it was still amazing
We need Drumeo drum pads with imitating bucket rebound zone
Woaaahh thats really really amazing.. the technique look at that!
His fucking rolls are beautiful
That was really awesome ,,,skills!
