This comes at a perfect time, because I'm actually looking at replacing both my radio and speakers in my 04 Envoy. Nice to see its pretty straightforward! Thanks for the video!
How does they sound? I watched (listened) on the IX one but cant find any sample for this one. Crutchfield having a sale and heard infinity are good. These speakers fit my vehicle
How are thos speakers holding up. I only have one front one and one back one on opposite sides.. Are those speakers made to be in the back doore and the front
Coaxial for front speaker aren't recommended because the power of thesound will come to bottom and instead of coaxial for front i recommended you to install split audio. And coaxial for rear door
Hey Kevin I just put an awesome aftermarket head unit in my envoy and checked all the connections but three of the speakers are currently not working. Do u think they're blown?
One of those things I’ve put off for years - are the front doors the same size as the rear doors? It’s been awhile since I’ve had the panels off (window regulators).

Hey kev nice video man I have a 2002 gmc envoy 187,000 miles running like a champ I know it’s off topic but I’ve been having a squeaking noise when turning my steering wheel left and right what do you think that could be I’ve checked the steering fluid not sure if it could maybe be the suspension due to the mileage Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks!!
Hey Anthony! There are several things that might be making noise. It could be the rubber boot covering the steering column or suspension components like you said. Maybe try putting the truck up on jack stands, have someone turn the wheel, and listen for the noise.
@@KevinNadeau thank you very much man! I really appreciate it I live in Colorado so the cold may also be a factor but I’ll definitely look into that as well!!
The sound quality is much better than factory. I'm not an audio expert, so I can't really give you a good description of the bass quality. It's good enough for me though👍
i change all for with three way speakers. sadly i only get bass from the rear right door speaker :/ (the speakers are boss branded )good sound but having bass on one side of the door kinda sucks and no i dont have bose audio system

This was super helpful thank you so much! Just got my envoy and the speakers it currently has are absolute trash.

I think they sound pretty good, definitely an improvement over the factory speakers

Thanks for the question. I have these speakers in the front and back doors. They are still working great!
Hi, Kevin thanks for the vídeo, one question can I install those on front doors?
Yes sir, that’s what I did.

@@fiestagrommin2503 Thanks.
Any issues replacing 8ohm speakers i
With 4ohm speakers?
Not at all. They have been working great ever since I installed them.
Did you do a video of the front door as well
No, but the fronts are pretty much the same.
On your GMC Envoy have you had a bad alternator I just replace mine myself
Not yet, knock on wood👍

It's possible, mine were definitely blown.
@@KevinNadeau ok thanks for the quick reply
@@ethananderson4447 No problem. Good luck tracking down the problem 👍
Did you end up getting them to work?
One of those things I’ve put off for years - are the front doors the same size as the rear doors? It’s been awhile since I’ve had the panels off (window regulators).
Yes, I actually put these exact same speakers in the front. I just didn't make a video of it 👍
These work in the front? The front speakers look so much bigger than those speakers
Great video. I ended up buying these speakers, only to find that my 2006 Envoy with Bose uses a 5 1/4" speaker... Oops!
Sorry to hear that.
My Envoy has Bose too. Were you able to install a new 5 1/4 speaker?
Will these speaker work with the factory Bose head unit?
I'm not sure to be honest with you. You could try the Infinity website to confirm.
Hello. Do you know what the difference is between the reference EX and IX?

Is this envoy have the Bose?
No, my truck doesn't have a Bose system.

I hate that man. Do you think it's a wiring issue? Are you still running the factory head unit?
@@KevinNadeau I checked the wires and they are good.
Yes, I also have the factory unit, I'm guess it's that unit that may be causing the issue
Appreciate the video, very helpful!
Hows the clutch fan holding up
Its still doing well👍 No issues to report.
Awesome. Ive read a couple people say that they have to do a hvac reset after install or the new fan will go bad again. Have you heard this?
@@NORCALPYRO_ I haven't heard of that before.
You didnt even show the actual installation
