- I wanted to show you around the city of Meersburg, but since the weather was bad that day, it wouldn't do justice to the city so I went to the castle instead and luckily there was an exhibition about medieval life from a French company.

My name is Yohanes, and I am a language enthusiast. My mother tongue is Indonesian, and I speak the following languages (with a decreasing order of fluency): English, French, German, Spanish. I also learn(ed) Korean, Chinese, and Finnish, but I wouldn't say that I "speak" the language (yet) :)
Very interesting, thanks for the tour Yohanes 🥰
Glad you enjoyed it!
Why were they exhibitioning (?) the items in that area? Why not in a... museum or a "modern place"?
The castle is kinda like a museum, right? And since the exposition is about medieval age, I think it fits the castle perfectly. There is no "modern place" in Meersburg anyway :D
@@Parlertoutseul oh come to think of it, this place probably is like... Those old houses, that are renovated but still maintained to preserve the history in it, right?
Also, I wanna suggest something. Perhaps you can show the bookstore/library too? You know, learning languages is not complete with the media, right? Like theatre, books, movies, and such. Once you learn the language, culture will follow along too 😀
Yes, it is a castle. It’s been there since the 7th century.
Somehow I missed the second part of your comment... I don't know if I need permission to shoot a video in a bookstore or library. For me the bookstore here is just a normal bookstore, nothing particularly interesting. Do you have anything specific you want to see from a bookstore or library?
@@Parlertoutseul In Indonesia, a bookstore feels like... a department store for books, stationery, toys, or even gym/sports tools. Does a bookstore in Germany (too wide?) also do that? Is there any bookstore in the "mall" there, like Periplus/Gramedia/Gunung Agung, here? Or do they have a standalone/small store on the street?
