    In this fight Crawford Grimsley had a record of 20(18)-1 [20 victories with 18 KOs with just 1 loss, being that 1 loss a 10 round point decision against George Foreman), and Crawford went on to lose against Jimmy Thunder in just 1 second by the first and only punch of the fight. Thunder himself went on to get KOed in the 2nd round by undefeated Andre Purlette who went on to get KOed by journeyman Elieser Castillo. Boxing is such a strange mystery...

      Tough, this monster punch didn’t land on his chin. But the temple. At the moment of a complete non-readiness to absorb any punch, merely one second at the start of the match. His brain didn’t even process what just happened, went bizarre…

      I'm a MMA welterweight so 77kgs and one time I was sparring a heavyweight and he dropped me so fkn bad, I got up and started sparring a completely different opponent. 😅😅 My coach had to sit me down like mate you just got koed pretty bad, you need a minute 😂😂

      ​@@palnagok1720everyone's got an off button in that area... it's just that it's gotta be pushed perfectly right or it isn't an off button. I've seen some fairly weak punches drop boxers and I've seen dudes take punches that normal men would be decapitated from and keep going. That's why boxing is a science. It's not just two overstuffed apes clobbering one another... there's a lot more to it. It's a sort of violent ballet. There's a psychology to it unlike any other blood sport.

      It would only be 11.5 seconds. 10 seconds for the referee count, 1.5 seconds for the record. What Tyson says takes 3 seconds, Thunder did in 1.5.

      Totally agree. Spent 15yrs caring for men suffering from dementia (including my own dad). Observed behaviour shown by stricken boxer here many times with my clients. Distressing and unsettling to watch. Loved to watch boxing in my younger days but now am just saddened to see the enormous risks these men (and women) take with their lives. The human skull and brain aren't designed for this kind of punishment.

    Rest in peace, James 'Thunder' Peau. He was one of the nicest guys in boxing, and he always had time for fans. He regularly showed up to watch and support amateur boxing events in Auckland right up until his passing.

      @granto6738 he was indeed a good boxer. As an amateur, he won multiple NZ heavyweight titles, gold at the commonwealth games, and silver at the world champs. As a professional, he won multiple regional titles and the IBO, and I believe WBU world heavyweight titles. He fell a little short of challenging for a major world title but was exciting to watch winning most of his bouts via KO as you could imagine.

    RIP Jimmy! met him countless times and my coach trained with him when he was younger, came to our gym to help us train and show us things. Sadly was a victim of the US boxing cartel who used him as a sparing partner punching bag towards the end of his career, he was very punch drunk when he came back to New Zealand and passed away a few years ago

    He won’t have any memory of this fight. That punch is one of those when you tell someone you’re going to hit them so hard that their head is going to spin around and mean it. That punch was so pure, even after they show him what happened he won’t have any recollection of it, because he never saw it coming. Thus the smile and waving of his arms. That was tweety bird he was seeing and listening to.
