@CobraCodex I'm biased but I think it has the best story! And despite how linear it is, the airship really opens up a lot of exploration and TONS of end game content, which itself is a whole other beast.
Only played this one for the first time last month and it quickly ascended to one of my favorites in the franchise. X is a great game and I'll play X-2 some day but I definitely burnt myself out on FF this year so maybe next year I get to that one, VIII, XII, and XIII

My very first FF i ever played!! I love it! Nostalgic. Got it as a kid at 11 years old in 2002
It’s always cozy to play games from that generation, even ones I missed as a Nintendo kid lol

Good idea to pace yourself with long running series like this. I'd like to get to X-2 by the end of the year to round out the duology but we'll see.
