"If you do a good job it will be a nice pot" Truer words were never spoken... thank you so much for sharing your expertise with fellow lovers of the clay form. Your love of the craft and open heart sharing of your knowledge is greatly appreciated. Bless your kind heart. :-)
Amazing technique. Your video is helpful in realizing to not rush the glazing process. Also, the scotch brite material is a fantastic idea for glazing applications, and probably greenware polishing as well!
@johnnysatty Hi, I always fire covered pots with lids in place. My lids and the bodies were very tie fit, if they were not firing together they might not fit after been fired. One tip to wax lidded pot is that I usually add Alumina Hydrate powder into the wax to prevent the lid from sticking together with the body.
Bravo, Hsinchuen! I really can't tell you how much I appreciate this. I'm tired of just dipping everything with no direction. Thank you for sharing!!! POTTERS ARE THE BEST FOR TEACHING EACH OTHER!!!! No snobby secrets :)
Thank you for this video. you're very famous between my colleages of the pottery class. Last day we have a wonderful dinner in the workshop while we were looking your videos. I learnt and still learnt of your way of lift. thank you again from spain. best regards.nico.
@TheSignGuy32 Hi, the little bottle I used for the texture was Duncan underglaze which you can buy at clay supply store easily. For glazes in the very front slides show, slide 1, navy blue inside and laguna green outside. Slide 2, copper red inside and moss blue outside. Slide 3, Ann's blue outside and glossy white inside. These glaze were made form glaze recipes not commercial.
I'M SURE THIS IS A LOT HARDER THAN HE MAKES IT LOOK, ( THE WHOLE PROCESS ) BEAUTIFUL . one thing he did that made my skin crawl though and that was when he took the metal rib and started scraping it, that was like fingernails on a chalkboard OMG goosebumps... that part was pure torture for me lol.
Please if you would could you tell me what red and blue glaze (mix/recipe) you use? and Firing procedure?? Absolutely GORGEOUS reds and blues, and beautiful work. thanks so much for sharing!!!
Hey I think if you put some sort of "ramp" or flat angled piece (like the side of one of those juice jugs) and set it in your glaze bucket you could pour the glaze on the "ramp" and it would pour back into the glaze bucket but it wouldn't splash on your piece. Just though of that while watching your video, I'll probably try it out.
Excellent video many thanks for this tutorial ! What is your preferred mix water / powder 800 ml / Kg or more because on the video it seems very liquid ?
i love to watch you throw pottery and glaze them too, u are super. my question to you is, do u put alumina hydrate powder to the wax solution and use it for all ur work or it is only for lids? Also do you supply raw material abroad?
Hi! I am from Spain. I 'm much your videos , I have learned with them. Thank you. Let me know if you can give me a recipe wax resist not be heated . please thanks
Hi, I really do love all of your videos and your time put into making them. I want to start doing some pottery and am trying to understand all of the terminology etc. I do have a question about this video regarding the underglazing. It seems to me that these bowls and the casserole would not be dish-washer-proof, is this a correct assumption? Also, another question, when coloring slips what is the ratio of slip to oxides? Thank you very much.
@acidfriend47 The air inside the bowl prevents the glaze from going up into the bowl when you dip it. Take a clear drinking glass and dip it into a pool of water and you will see the water does not go up into the glass.
Hi, I am a beginner potter from India. I follow your vlog and like your teachig method. Thank you. Which kiln did you use for these bowls, electric or gas?
Hi Hsin, i appreciate your work and i am really insipirated by it. I have a question: which kind of wax do you use? and do you leave it when you fire it or do you pull it off before? Thanks a lot
Hello, that copper red with titane looks good on the inside and were are you located at.Please look at my site and rate, l will be adding more as soom as people sigh up for my ceramic scuptor coure.
9:21 WOaahh what happen there? You didn't put wax resist in the inside. So how come there wasn't really any green glaze on it when you dipped the bowl in there?

Fantastic ! I need to get back on my wheel. After 5 yrs. I am still a beginner. Not on my wheel every week.

Amazing! Thank you!
This is great, thanks you!
at 09:35 you're showing the inside, how do you make sure there is a clear line there and the glazes don't mix?
the inside does not get any glaze inside more than what you see, he creates a air pocket... like when you dip a glass in water
Hi! I am from Spain. I 'm much your videos , I have learned with them. Thank you. Let me know if you can give me a recipe wax resist not be heated .

the copperred is awesome! Would you share the recipe? Or is it a stain?
I forgot to ask, did you fire the casserole with the lid in place, or did you fire them apart. I hope you put it on etsy I want it haha Thanks
@acidfriend47

Thanks so much for your demos. Do you ever offer classes in your shop?
Maria Jimenez please watch my video #309, m.ruclips.net/video/JPx3TfUbPuw/видео.html
Can you tell me please, what clay body are you using and also what firing method and temperature you are using. Thank you...
Zee Jackie he is either using a white body stoneware with no grog or more likely porcelain. As for firing I assume it’s come ten as it’s porcelain
You are awesome! I love your videos. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and technique!
Hi, I'm in Iran and I do not have access to your glaze, it allows me to combine the glaze, and what did you cook with?
Hello, that copper red with titane looks good on the inside and were are you located at.Please look at my site and rate, l will be adding more as soom as people sigh up for my ceramic scuptor coure.
How did you do the inside of the bowl? I’m learning this to make my own dinnerware, but so nervous!!
Hello sir, may I ask how you achieved the texture along the outside bottom of these bowls? Thank you.
Don’t you add transparent glaze over the underglaze?
Lovely. Question. How did you hold the casserole to put on the blue glaze?
@DubGongTuff Cone 10
Are you firing in an oxidation environment or reduction? Would you be willing to share your celedon glaze recipe?
How did you hold casserole upside down to dip? Nothing to hold onto.
so beautiful
So beautiful :')!
Do you rinse your projects before glazing?
@createniks I tried it and failed... the water went half way of the glass. is this something that takes time to master?
Great video!
9:21 WOaahh what happen there? You didn't put wax resist in the inside. So how come there wasn't really any green glaze on it when you dipped the bowl in there?
this guy is boss!
@acidfriend47
If the rim of the glass or pot makes contact with the water or glaze evenly it wont go inside the piece.
How do you do the carvings?
It’s called chattering. Just search my video with the subject topic “chattering texture”
Did you say Marie Woo Blue?
Do you fire at cone 10 or come 6?
cone 11
beautiful, but I'm confused lol
Love that he's listening to The Bee Gees in the background.
