    It appears that you are not pulling more clay up from the bottom as you pull the shape outward. The outward shaping is causing the clay to automatically thin as it's pulled out. Correct? By the way, I love watching your videos. They are so very helpful for this beginner!

      Yes, you are correct. stretch out making the wall thinner..

    Why don’t the bowls collapse as you make them more shallow?

      Keep enough thickness before stretching.
