  • There are three texts in the Torah or Pentateuch (Genesis-Deuteronomy) that are often cited as "predicting" the coming of the Messiah: Shiloh, the Star and Scepter, and the Prophet like Moses.
Here is a link with the texts I have been covering and will continue to cover in the Hebrew Bible:

Being able to step back from one’s personally held views to learn or discuss the history of ideas held by others throughout various periods requires training. It’s not the usual manner in which people encounter religious ideas, and the comments often present people finding this transition difficult.

As for myself, if I weren't constantly scoffed at, I'd probably care enough to be extra gentle in conversations about these things, but the second you start drawing out Sumerian and Akkadian cuneiform cognates to show points of semantic continuity from pre-Hebraic to Hebraic traditions which suggest a Hebraic scribal methodology that makes lexical allusions to cuneiform and Sumerian primacy, some academics start to get a bit uncomfortable, as it is almost always outside of their wheelhouse. They are never able to make a definitive argument against many of those positions, so many of them either ignore it or outright laugh at it. I may be rebellious and blunt, but I still make many good points that people bitterly reject without evidence to the contrary.
Here's an analogous and true example that starts from a point outside of the realm of Semitic philology. Consider the name "Cronan," an Irish name with a Sumerian root. Hard to believe, isn't it, but let me show you. The name Cronan is from Old Irish 'crón' meaning "saffron-colored," which is itself derived from 'cróch' (+ 'nan' meaning 'small'), which refers to the Crocus flower, and this word for the Crocus has Semitic cognates (כרכום‎, and Akkadian kurkanu pirizaaḫ) both necessarily derived from the same Sumerian root that means "Mountain Flower," 𒆳𒄀𒆸𒈾𒊬, KUR-GI-RIN-NA(SAR), and refers to the כרכום‎ plant.

Gilgamesh's search for The Way to Everlasting Life! With Enkidu's death, Gilgamesh is so terrified by the idea of death that he goes on a long journey to beat the inevitable.
Gilgamesh weeps bitterly as his friend's death makes him aware of his own mortality. Fearing death, he sets off to discover the secret of eternal life from his forefather, the immortal man Utnapishtim, who had built a boat and survived the great flood. But when Gilgamesh came out of the water and saw that the plant of immortality was gone, stolen away by the snake, he wept and wailed bitterly.
Who taught human beings evil and lost immortality!
Genesis 2:17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die.”
Genesis 3:5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Genesis 3:22 Then the LORD God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!”
      New Living Translation
Revelation 2:7 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.

The story of Noah is part of the Abrahamic canon, but the legend of the Great Flood almost certainly has prebiblical origins, rooted in the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia. The Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh dates back nearly 5,000 years and is thought to be perhaps the oldest written tale on the planet. But the scrolls of the bible cover a period of 6000 years. There are other Hebrew works that are mentioned in the Bible that God directed the authors to use. Some of these include the Book of the Wars of the Lord (Numbers 21:14), the Book of Samuel the Seer, the Book of Nathan the Prophet, and the Book of Gad the Seer (1 Chronicles 29:29). Also, there are the Acts of Rehoboam and the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah (1 Kings 14:29).

When we look at the fast expansion of human culture (as seen in megalithic walls and ziqquraths/pyramids), it is very plausible that the British Isles were quickly inhabited after the Mediterranean. Gælic and Galatian and Galicia and Gallia and Celts have quite a lot on common.

Moses wandered with the people in the wilderness, bearing with them, teaching them the ways of the Most High. His main mission was to get them to obey God. He was a miracle worker. Moses spoke for God, and he was the words of God “in the flesh.” The Israelites followed Moses out of the Exodus, but Moses didn’t get to experience God’s kingdom with them because he died. God meets us where we’re at; the Torah “language” and the “Egyptian curse culture” was relevant to the people of the time who came out of Egypt. Moses interceded for people when they sinned, and he prayed and they were healed. In my opinion, a “prophet like Moses” would lead people OUT, and possibly wouldn’t get to experience God’s kingdom, as Moses died and didn’t get to experience it. I don’t think that these fit the bill when it comes to Joshua being a prophet like Moses.

And thank you again, so very much for these rich and enlightening uploads. I have many many questions for you, however, I will complete the series first, do a bit of self-directed studying on the concepts you've discussed and will hopefully avoid dragging you into situation where you would maybe say, "yeah bud, I covered that entire topic in video 'X'..." lol
And I'll tell you what, while learning from teachers like yourself, New Testament scholars like Dale Martin, and referring to the wealth of modern and historical(?) teachings of Judaism and strictly 'Judaic' concepts - as opposed to 'Christianized' interpretations that exist nearly everywhere, apart from within Judaism; and I mean this in the context of the modern/popular understanding of what Judaism and Christianity are, or perhaps the lack of understanding, coupled with a lack of understanding how little one's understanding is!
For me personally, at the ripe age of 29, having only found God - or only having been found, by God - a little under a year ago, I truly feel a true sense of excitement in knowing that this very realm of what is everything, this Divine interconnectedness of all things, things of the material, but most urgently and importantly, the immaterial, are matters for which my mind, heart, and Spirit thirst for in a most unquenchable way.

      The Scapegoat!
      Matthew 27:15-26
Jesus Barabbas, the scapegoat, is released living, and Jesus the Messiah, the immolated goat, is put to death. Scapegoat was the name given to the goat that “escaped” into the wilderness, never to return, with the blood, or sins, of the people on him. The scapegoat symbolized that through the Atonement all of Israel's sins could be forgiven, never to return.
Barabbas (which means son of the father in Aramaic) who was guilty (burdened with sin) was released while Jesus (also the Son of the Father) who was innocent of Sin was presented by the High Priest and was sacrificed by the Romans through crucifixion.
Matthew 27:16 At that time they had a well-known prisoner whose name was Jesus Barabbas. 17 So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you: Jesus Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?”

27:06 Psalm 110 is spoken by David, universally recognized as the author. The Lord said to my Lord: Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet. He is referring to the Messiah as his superior, not merely his son or descendant. See Jesus' words in Matthew 22:41-45: "If David calls him Lord, how can he be his son?" In verse 4 of Psalm 110, The Lord has sworn and will not repent, "You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Dr. Tabor says it is simply "melchi tzedek" meaning righteous king, but it is thought by others to in fact be a reference to the Melchizedek of Genesis with there being three points of resemblance between Melchizedek, the prophetic type, and Christ, who fulfilled this prophecy: both are kings as well as priests, both offer lechem and yayin, bread and wine, to God (Genesis 14:18) and both have their priesthood directly from God and not through Aaron, since neither belongs to the tribe of Levi. See Hebrews 7 in regards to Melchizedek, a type of Christ.

    • @stylicho
      @stylicho 11 месяцев назад +2

I personally think too much emphasis is put on the "anointing with oil" in trying to conflate anointing with oil in relation to the Messiah, since tabernacles and altars are also anointed with oil. To me it sounds more akin to something like holy water or something like that. Just my opinion though. I definitely don't claim to be a scholar on this subject

    • @ChristinaFromYoutube
      @ChristinaFromYoutube 10 месяцев назад

High Priests can not touch corpses but they anoint the King. Your relatives would anoint you at death and it would leave them unclean to enter the temple.
      That's a main difference.
But people back then put oil on their skin all the time. It was the cleanser and moisturizer of the day.
Jesus says when you fast to anoint yourself with oil (which implies having bathed) and you should look happy so no one even realizes you're fasting.

    HA!
More concrete to strengthen Abelard Reuchlin and Roman Piso's case, as usual.
Arrius Calpurnius Piso and his family used the same sorta Gematria numbers game to 'copywrite' their identities in the Greek New Testament. Julius - Arrius' son and author of The Revelation, AND Hadrian's lead general in the Bar Kochba war - identified his father, ARRIUS, aka Flavius Josephus, as 'the beast'. According to Abelard and Roman Piso, Julius wrote The Revelation just after the Bar Kochba war, and RIGHT before Hadrian ordered his execution. An execution most likely originally-ordered by Julius' brother and fellow NT author, Fabius Justus. Eliminating Julius and Julius' grandson was the safest way for Arrius' most charismatic grandson, (through his daughter, Claudia Phoebe, aka Pompea Plotina) Antoninus Pius, aka Suetonius, to reach the throne and take the first steps toward strengthening Christianity, his grandfather's big innovation.
These lectures are great after studying Abelard Reuchlin and Roman Piso. Without those guys, I wouldn't know Arrius was ALSO General Flavius Silva, of Masada fame.
Arrius personally designed Jesus to shamelessly fulfill all that messiah prophecy garbage, while tricking the reader into worshipping Caesar (Arrius) and obeying Rome (royals). Arrius gets his name from his mother Aria the Younger, a royal descendant of King Herod through Herod's murdered son, Aristobulus IV. Thanks to seeing the world through Abelard's lens, I NOW know that Herod was a Hasmonean - secretly. Aristobulus I is John Hyrcanus' eldest son. Arrius used his royal Jewish roots to accurately identify his sons within his work as Flavius Josephus. 'Hyrcanus' is actually Julius, aka New Testament John. 'Justus' is Fabius Justus, aka New Testament James (AND Emperor Marcus Aurelius' grandfather!). 'Simonides/Agrippa' is Arrius' son, Proculus Piso, aka New Testament Simon Peter (AND Silanus Piso's father. Silanus being Herodes Atticus!)
Listen to Sleeping Wasbands. The Vatican will.

Nero of the Roman Empire worshipped the Sun God Apollo! Even if Jesus did not exist they would follow Sun, Moon, and Star Worship! Revelation 17:17
The Roman Empire allowed Christianity but created a Pagan Jesus. Constantine made Christianity the main religion of Rome, and created Constantinople, which became the most powerful city in the world. Historians link the advent of Christianity to Sol Invictus partly because December 25 marked the so-called Feast of the Unconquered Sun before it became officially recognized as the birthday of Christ. The Winter solstice, alternatively called Yule or Sol Invictus, is a pagan celebration Emperor Aurelian established in 272 CE. Aurelian strengthened the position of the Sun god Sol Invictus as the main divinity of the Roman pantheon. He declared Dec. 25 as the birthdate of the “Invincible Sun” and made the day a feast-day.
Deuteronomy 4:19 And when you raise your eyes to the heavens and see the sun and the moon and the stars-all the army of the heavens-do not get seduced and bow down to them and serve them. Jehovah your God has given them to all the peoples under the whole heavens.

This is all over the place. Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. He showed meekness and not majesty. Jesus showed what a king is and the world could not recognize it.
The beast is both the antichrist which is coming soon and the state that he will control.
The man of lawlessness will arrive on a white horse (bringing peace) but soon the world will see he is from the devil. The devil's superman will be allowed to rule for a short time before the return of Jesus who will destroy him and set up His eternal kingdom.
Some of the signs around the antichrist........Israel will have become a nation again, their will be one world currency, knowledge and travel will have increased, and ppl will fall away from faith in Jesus (apostasy). As Paul said they will become seekers of pleasure rather then loving God.
And as it was before the flood so will it be before Jesus returns

Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the [system of things].”
Jesus is the Bright Morning Star. Jesus said I would be with his disciples until the end of the age.
Matthew 28:20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the [end of the age].”
The end of the age was
2012 it was The Transit of Venus and Jesus is the Bright morning star. Revelation 22:16 “‘I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to you about these things for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David and the [bright morning star].’”
Jesus shows up in Jerusalem when he is 12 years old. He shows up 18 years later and throws out the money changers. So 2012 + 18 years 2030. But right after when the 8th King is ruling the earth.
I use bible hub for most translations and New World Translation.
      Here's the Dragon.
This is why the beast like a lamb started speaking like a dragon.
Satan is a morning star who was hurled to the earth. The morning star of 1874 The Transit of Venus. Who gathered the nations for the Great War of 1914.
      Isaiah 14:12
How you have fallen from heaven, [morning star], son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
      Isiah 14:12
How has Lucifer, that rose in the morning, fallen from heaven! He that sent orders to all the nations is crushed to the earth.

Genesis 49:10 The scepter will not depart from Judah, neither the commander’s staff from between his feet, until Shiʹloh comes, and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong.11 Tying his donkey to a vine and his donkey’s colt to a choice vine, he will wash his clothing in wine and his garment in the blood of grapes.
      Revelation 17:17
There are two vines with the donkey and his colt. The colt is the chosen vine! Revelation 14.
I have wondered about this wording too, cult and colt. Donkey would represent democracy by the Nations and the Cult by JW's. For the Nations it's the beast of burden.
Matthew 21:1 When they got close to Jerusalem and arrived at Bethʹpha·ge on the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them: “Go into the village that is within sight, and you will at once find a donkey tied and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If someone says anything to you, you must say, ‘The Lord needs them.’ At that he will immediately send them.”
4 This actually took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet, who said: 5 “Tell the daughter of Zion: ‘Look! Your king is coming to you, mild-tempered and mounted on a donkey, yes, on a colt, the offspring of a beast of burden.’”
6 So the disciples went and did just as Jesus had instructed them. 7 They brought the donkey and its colt, and they put their outer garments on them, and he sat on them.

Didn't Moses stand in a cleft of the same mountain as Elijah? And although three different times are involved, Moses and Elijah are both translated to see Jesus. I can imagine Elijah feeling the presence of Moses standing next to him. And then... the three meet. No wonder that Peter was confused. If God had not sent them back, they both might have remained with the Messiah.

Normally the one with the birthright is the ruler. Joseph received the birthright:
    1 Chronicles 5:
1 Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2 For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph’s:)
I think the Messiah is supposed to come from the tribe of Joseph. The verse is talking about Joseph. He is the subject. From thence (from Joseph) is the shepherd, the stone of Israel (the Messiah).
    Genesis 49:
22 ¶ Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting chills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
Shiloh is to gather the people. The scepter shall not depart until, meaning it will depart from Judah when Shiloh comes. Shiloh doesn't come from Judah.
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
This sounds like the tribe of Joseph is to gather the people:
    Deuteronomy 33:
17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

I'm an uneducated, unread no body but there are other interpretations of history depending on which perspective, you are presenting it from. If I read it through the mind of a scientist, or artist, or as a judge or as a teacher, etc It's the essence that is missed , the lesson of the word is missing in all interpretations. This is why there is war, to prove is right when were all wrong still. The lesson is knowing the heart of creation, ie: God is real light, without it we would not be, Everything is conscious because without light that to would not be.

That makes a lot of sense the priest, king, and prophet.. let’s not forget before the patriarchal system there were woman oracles, seers, and prophets the Bible hides their role in all these miraculous women. A woman can bring a messiah into this world but can’t be one herself. Women have a portal between her legs which automatically makes her more connected than the men.

maybe. And perhaps I am wrong, that the “prophet like Moses” is Peter, because he was the one who spoke directly to God in Acts 10, and sent him on a difficult mission to the nations, just as Moses was sent on a difficult mission to liberate Israel.
He is the person trusted by God (Jesus) to take care of his people in John 21 and Matthew 16. Peter also disobeys God (Jesus) and denies him three times, and Moses also disobeys God and is prevented from entering the Holy Land. Peter and Moses are similar.

      A Gog of Magog Genocide!
The syllables Ha-lle-lu-yah or “Halleluyah” were in use by the Muskogee and Algonquin-speaking nations of the east and southeast coast before colonists. There are two independent recorded instances where the word Halleluyah was in use in Native towns that had never encountered Europeans. Thomas Thorowgood(1) in the 1650s recorded Halleluyah and other syllables similar to the Tetragrammaton in use by the Powhatan. One hundred years later, James Adair(2) made the same observations while living for 40 years in Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Creek towns in the 1700s.
Thorowgood had encountered with the Native Tetragrammaton variations. Vocables are a combination of syllables that are themselves compositions of the same core group of syllables; Yah, Weh, Yo, Heh, Wah, Ha, Ho, Hoi. It is interesting however that the names for God between these two geographically separated groups are similar. Yoweh sounds like a variation of Yahweh. Yo-he-wah sounds like a variation of Je-ho-vah. And Muskogee Yah, is analogous to the use of Yah in Hebrew. All three of those vocable sets are names for God in Muskogee and Tsalagi, just as their counterparts in Hebrew are names for God. As for the origin of the word Halleluyah in Native towns beyond the frontier in Adair’s life, in places that had never encountered a European, is history lost to genocide and time.

    • @richarddemuth7077
      @richarddemuth7077 11 месяцев назад

The "Oracle of Balaam" is an example of "prophecy post facto". The "Torah" was composed during the PERSIAN Imperial period by the priest EZRA and his sons. If the verse actually reads "The Scepter shall not depart from Judah nor the Ruler's Staff from between his feet until SHiLoH comes to whom it belongs and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples" this provides a 🗝 to whom it is referring. Of course, Christians interpret this as an identification with Jesus Christ their so-called "Prince of PEACE". BUT, analytically, it makes more sense to deduce that this refers to King SHoLoMoN, whose name means "PEACEful One". His Kingdom of Israel was the LARGEST the Nation ever reached. Furthermore, the Ruler's Scepter and Staff DID DEPART from "Judah" BEFORE the coming of Jesus Christ. But it DID NOT "DEPART" during Solomon's reign. IN FACT, it SPLIT in HALF during the reign of his oppressive son and successor RaHaBoaM, who incited the civil war led by YeRaHBoaM which created the Southern Kingdom of Judah and Benjamin and the Northern Kingdom of the rest of the Tribes henceforth referred to as "Israel" with YeRaHBoaM as its first king. Therefore, the "prophecy" is neither accurate in terms of sequential timing NOR events.
There are NO "FELLATIOUS Prophecies". It is FELLATIOUS to BELIEVE in "PROPHECIES"!! 🤔😬

Classic James Tabor, where the explanations always assume the New Testament is inaccurate or at least, optional.
The Book of Hebrews settles any argument as to whether Melchizedek is being referred to in Psalm 110 (Thou art a priest forever...). Hebrews assumes that it's talking about the priest of God who met with Abraham.
Hebrew 7:1-3 - For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Of course, if you toss out the Book of Hebrews then anything goes. How can somebody like that call himself a "scholar"? His scholarship looks like the stuff they shovel out on the Ancient Aliens History Channel. It's baseless.

Abraham was the first to receive, The Gospel, The good news of the Kingdom! Galatians 3:6 Just as Abraham “put faith in Jehovah, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 7 Surely you know that it is those who adhere to faith who are sons of Abraham. 8 Now the scripture, foreseeing that God would declare people of the nations righteous through faith, declared the good news beforehand to Abraham, namely: “By means of you all the nations will be blessed.” 9 So those who adhere to faith are being blessed together with Abraham, who had faith.

Are you reading Gen 49:10 correctly? It’s saying the scepter will depart when Shiloh comes. Meaning the Davidic line stops and Shiloh is not from that lineage. So the logical conclusion considering the promises to David himself is that Shiloh is his offspring but not from Judah. So Shiloh is his actual given name like the Cyrus prophecy only this one is without dispute. He’s probably a grandson through his daughter fulfilling both prophesies and cutting out entirely the Judah connection. It’s the end of the Jewish dynasty. God’s covenant with Israel was conditional. Your own biases cause yourself to be blind to a more simple interpretation. It’s been a disputed passage since forever but you won’t find a better interpretation than what I just said. No one wants to admit it either.

6 So the disciples went and did just as Jesus had instructed them. 7 They brought the donkey and its colt, and they put their outer garments on them, and he sat on them.

@@strappedfatman7858 The reason I believe it’s his own blood is because of the prophecy in Zachariah describing him being wounded in the house of his friends. It’s very clear he’s describing the messiah as you read the chapter further. This happens when he returns. Jesus didn’t quite fulfill this. Isa 53 also he didn’t quite fulfill. He had a following and people were attracted to him. He also is supposed to have children and live a long life. So it’s only partly describing Jesus but mostly his return. Rev says he was slain since the foundation so it’s happened many lifetimes. And that’s exactly what you see in Isa 53 is multiple lives but same person. That’s the secret to those suffering servant passages that Jacob has been reincarnating. He’s the scapegoat in that Atonement sacrifice. Jesus was both goats and when he returns he’s still the scapegoat with his own blood on that robe.
Maybe the prophecy about the ass and colt was describing both advents. Personally, I’ve always thought Matthew made it up like he did that virgin birth story. I’m skeptical of a lot of it.

@@strappedfatman7858 Can you see how prophetic it was? Jesus is the national scapegoat and he’s a traitor in their eyes. His name is a curse word and anyone that follows him is ushered out of the community and shunned. Isa 53 describes the lives of the scapegoat. Jesus was both. When he returns, they will look upon him that was pierced while mourning for that first born son. That’s their moment of clarity and it will be easy to swap the goats back in place.
They might have gotten this but the sacrifice was corrupted. They didn’t release the goat or give it to a caretaker. They led it over a cliff to keep it from returning. But it was a beautiful picture of the suffering servant that chooses to remain with its new master.
