There was nothing better than hearing Casey Kasem begin "American Top 40" in July,1970 and hearing him tell stories about different musicians and bands and how they landed on "Casey's countdown." I loved blasting my bedroom radio 📻 and turntable with "The Raspberries" music.Casey Kasem and Dick Clark along with Ed Sullivan, DJ's all over AMERICA, Burt Sugarman's "The Midnight Special" and "Don Kirchner's Rock Concert" gave musicians a place to showcase their talent in a LIVE Setting! Eric, you made that Grand Piano 🎹 "weep" during your song "All By Myself." Just brilliant ! I am so grateful I was born to watch your meteoric rise as a skilled musician, singer and songwriter. The concept of Ringo’s All Starrs is always entertaining; you know it’s gonna be a good show when Eric Carmen is followed by Dave Edmunds who then provides valid guitar work for Jack Bruce…and that version of I’m The Greatest is just…GREAT

Agreed re: “Go All The Way” (begins at 52:23). Simon Kirke kills it on the drums, his fills do justice to the spirit of the Raspberries original version. By the audience’s response, the crowd loved it too.
Any concert with a former Beatle and the songs “Go All The Way” and “Classical Gas” is the absolute tops in my book; too bad Joey Molland wasn’t there to do “No Matter What”! What a great concert; too bad the band didn’t play these numbers when I saw the All-Starr band at Humphrey’s in San Diego in 2012!

This was an amazingly GREAT iteration of the All Starr Band! Hugely talented stars across the board on that stage! Phenomenal lineup of songs! But the reason I treasure this footage hugely is because it’s the ONLY footage I’ve seen from the top down view capturing Eric Carmen’s stellar piano solo in the middle of “All By Myself”! It’s one thing to have heard that over the years since he first released it in 1975 but it’s quite another to see him playing his masterpiece from that perspective! And 25 years later with such emotional delivery! I’m completely mesmerized! ❤️🎹 And truly grateful to see this posted - thank you!

During Eric Carmen's singing Hungry Eyes and Go All The Way I noticed he was using "sign language"? During parts of the songs. Did anyone else notice this?

Apparently Eric was credited as the bassist on the first Raspberries album.
