Thanks brah. This video is pretty general i feel like with halalu and akule it can get really specific. Most important to me is the color/depth they are biting. Once you figure it out they bite pretty good. But sometimes they just don’t bite. Lockjaw. Go out and experiment with different retrieves and colors and see what happens. My basic terminal tackle stays the same. Just the length of my leader gets a little shorter. From one armspan-4armspans 2-3lb fluro
Thanks! Today was me n my friends first time akule fishing and we kind of had the just of it, but your video is very helpful. Can't wait to try the new setup? Cause had this one lady, and another guy, and they was scraping fish left n right! I caught 6, n he caught like 9 plus one Lai!
Hahaha yah sometimes lidat. Glad the video helped. Its really just the set up. For me the most important thing about akule fishing is figuring out the retrieve. Once you figure out depth and retrieve its too easy lol. Until they stop biting. Good luck brah!
Jskd06 i keep my strip in the water and cast with one hand. Straight back over the shoulder and through. 3/8 lead. Takes a little practice. Depending on the wind i might switch arms between right and left and where the bait is in the water. If no more wind i usually throw straight right arm. You can also “flick” the lead out. Its literally a flicking motion. Bring the rod up and “flick” the lead out. This is easier when running short leaders. Less chance of leader wrap.
Automatic. Just a regular glow bead above the swivel. Above the hook i throw on a red glass bead and chartreuse beads. Or a pearl rice bead works well too. Can find em ben franklin or most fishing shops. The rice bead i only find at busters or online.
I use the same rig but i use a purple/green fly and if no bite that i use big island bait strips. great tutorial.🤙
Mahaloz for sharing bradded I will use this

Great video and us novices really appreciate the tips🤙🤙
