Pro-tip: take a couple feather quills or even just a bunch of inch long bits of string, wrap em to a toothpick with floss, shove them up the butt of the tailless grub bait, break off the toothpick as close to the grub as you can, and secure with super glue. I've caught a few big crappie with those on a jig head.
