Oh my gosh!!! He is so cute!! I wish I had a sewing machine. I can’t imagine using glue for this. It definitely wouldn’t look like yours!!! But so much fun watching you make it. Just adorable!!!❤️❤️❤️
Ooooooooooohhh that is a great tip! You just pick up a bit of fluff and it stays until you place it... Okay, I'll try and find some. Did you get the super long ones? I'm seeing 5, 8, 10, 12, and 16 inch.
OMG! Sarah another awesome long legged gnome. I love it! Especially in fall! Just what I need besides Halloween and believe it or not another camping trip in 2 weeks..lol
I can't wait to try this out. I have the pattern. He is so cute. You do such a wonderful job with the videos and i love the written tutorials that I can print out and put in my notebook.
Thank you and I'm so glad you like the formats. If you ever have suggestions for me to do better, just let me know. This is all so new and I want to do the best I can. :)
@@SarahNenniDaher I can tell you I have not found anyone else who does this like you do and I for one so appreciate it. No watching videos and trying to write down. the instructions following the close caption stuff.. which takes forever. THANK You so much.
You can try the fabric stores, however, it might be a bit early for it to show up. I now purchase mine by the yard from Amazon (Shannon Fabrics is the seller for Mongolian Fur in frosted gray). If you want less than a yard, you can go to Etsy. Be sure to search Mongolian Fur frosted gray. If you need links from sellers I've purchased from they're below (these are affiliate links). Hi Sarah, I just purchased the sweet Gnome pattern and I forgot to add the booties. Is there a way I can receive it ? Also this pattern I ordered can it be made into the fall Gnome ? Love it !!
The Scandi Sweeties can be made into TONS of gnomes (I try to make sure I give a lot of examples with the same pattern so everyone gets their money's worth). ;) It can be made with arms, without arms, with legs (like this fall gnome), with feet, without feet, with a hat scrunch sewn in, with wire - it's honestly one of the most versatile! The booties are free, so grab the pattern here and just "check out" again - it will come right to you! shop.rufflesandrainboots.com/product/slopey-boot-pattern-for-gnomes/
I think the pattern is a big part of it because it takes me a few tries before finalizing a pattern to make the scrunch happen (hat to body ratio). If you're using a thicker fabric or are sewing ANY fabric, I would add stitches or glue the scrunches together. If you're using a thinner fabric, you can glue it on the inside (so the glue doesn't show). You can also add a wire inside the hat or body and point it forward (usually works with thinner fabrics). Hope that helps!
Yes the pattern has arms. If you want the wrap around beard, you can poke through the fur like I show in this video: ruclips.net/video/JU1p7tzsLLk/видео.html

Love this little guy. I have made two so far. I used fur that I had for the beards but would like some Mongolian fur, where do you get yours from?

I can't get sock or felt hats to stay scrunchie. Any ideas?
