Cole World is J Cole's catchphrase he includes in all his songs. Hope World is inspired by that just like Born Singer was inspired by J Cole's Born Sinner. J Cole has been J Hope's idol for a long, long time so the fact he had this opportunity to make this song with him before he serves his enlistment is amazing for him. Hopefully they do much more together when J Hope returns.
In the song HipHop file from 2014 Jhope said "Hope hope world, before I built my own world, there was Cole world" JCole is one of J-Hope's biggest musical inspirations that's why this song is so crazy
As a J Cole fan that stumbled into the K Pop world, it’s so refreshing to see two communities being introduced to each other. So dope to be able to see someone listen to one of the greatest to do it in their genre for the first time.
J Cole is my favorite artist. I knew nothing about jhope until this song. I looked it up and J Cole is jhope's IDOL. A LOT of jhope's influence came directly from J Cole. Hope World is a take on Cole World and Born Singer is an homage to Born Sinner (J Cole song). The Avirex letterman jacket jhope is wearing is also an homage to one of J Cole's old music videos where he wears the same type of jacket and the walking jhope does is another homage to the same music video that J Cole had. Please do a reaction to more J cole stuff. Jhope supposedly came up with the whistle melody. J Cole is known for his lyricism and produces his own beats, so he may have had a hand in producing the beat (dont quote me on that). He is widely considered one of the best rappers--EVERY feature he's on, he ends up stealing the show. The fact that you recognized how good the feature was and don't know J Cole speaks volumes to his talent. This collab was absolutely beautiful. You can really tell how much respect jhope has for his muse J Cole (I believe this is referenced in one of jhope's songs) because jhope gives him SO much time on the song.
As far as we know, jhope composed and written the melody, the whistle sample is him, and his in-house producer PDogg produced and mixed. These are the only people on the credits. Jhope, PDogg and JCole respectively.
Lots of symbolic imagery in this video, rites of passage to adulthood and growing up. JHope saying goodbye to the kid at the beginning as a way of saying he is letting go of his old self and saying goodbye to ARMY. The whole going in the empty metro station , symbolising the path he will have to go through alone ( his military service ) entering it by the exit sign /side saying it is something he cannot escape. And then exiting after Cole's verse as to say he will be back after some time. Cole's verse is great and full of poetic images on internal struggle / battles ( which can also be interpreted as shout out to Jhope for going through what he's about to go through ) Like the first line , All hail the mighty survivor of hell, can be seen as him talking about his own struggles but also definetly as a sign of respect for Hope ( foreshadowing his comeback ) because many view Military as War and War as Hell. ( maybe I'm reaching but i def don't think so, metaphores and future projections are common things in hip hop lyrics ) Now everything could also be interpreted as the journey of JHope who is a fan of J Cole since his young age, all the work he did and the way he travelled to finally be able to meet his own Idol and inspiration. So basically this is pretty much both of them saying to each other : Respect bro. Until next time.
When J cole was singing at the top, Jhope was dancing and listening to his rap underground and on the street since his little boy. but now finally he met J.Cole on the top together 👦 😍 😭 💙
Hoseok wrote the track and beat as a fit for J-Cole’s style, wrote a version of just him in case the collab didn’t happen so we will have a second version. Then when J-Cole’s verse came-was so masterful, Hobi expanded to accommodate all of it. The concept was all Hobi and a gift to Army, returning to his roots. He is in the Alley where J-Cole’s MV for Simba was shot in 2007. Born Singer was a ‘remake’ homage to Born Sinner(J-Cole). Cole World came first and Hobi again paid homage by naming his mixtape Hope World. There are several interviews about Hobi’s admiration for J-Cole. Mutual Respect .
Hope world is inspired by j coles album “cole world” so in all actually j hope is shouting him out ! J cole is absolutely incredible . If you’re only discovering him now, he literally is part of the best of the best there is.
Cole World is the name of J.Cole's first album. I think that's where J-hope got the idea for Hope World. Plus this video is shot in the same place J.Cole shot his video for Simba
The beat was made by pdogg (BTS in house producer since always, like he has being part of BTS discography since the beginning) and also Jhope. Also, Jhope wrote his verse and the chorus and JCole's verse was written by himself
J Hope J Cole definitely make a difference with their individual presence and sound engineering when it comes to making music that you'll be able to just enjoy it
I got into K-pop like 2 years ago and I fell in love with it, to the point that I guess I forgot how good some of my favorite American artists are. Hobi brought the vibes and Cole brought the bars 👌🏽
You should react to more J.Cole like Love Yourz, Middle Child, Pride is the Devil and Window Pain, which are among his best lyrical songs. He consider one of the greatest rappers of this generation if the not the greatest. In all his songs he’s painting a picture with words as you saw in his feature here. So def recommend you guys reacting to more of his stuff. Also haven’t really listened to a lot of K-pop or even know who j-Hope is but I really liked him in this and his flows between Korean and English worked effortlessly
Fun Facts for those who don't know. J.Cole is j-Hopes biggest influence/inspiration and muse. JHopes album "HOPE WORLD" is a play on J.Coles first album "Cole World". The BTS song "Born Singer" is also a play on J.Coles song "Born Sinner". The Avirex fit hobi is wearing is also homage to J.Cole. The street Hobi was on at the beginning is the SAME EXACT street J.Cole filmed his "SIMBA" music video on. And hobi dancing during Coles verse is because hobi before BTS used to dance to J.Cole songs back in the day.. The visual easter eggs and homage paid to J.Cole in this by hobi is insane. Shows his genuine love for a GOAT like J.Cole. This whole collab is legendary and will be cemented in history forever.. This a big W for Kpop and HipHop
You'll never regret it if you two react and listen to J. Cole, worth the time. J. Cole is my personal top 5 favorite and greatest rapper, his music help get me through the times
7:30 More than likely: Hope reached out to Cole, mentioned everything (Cole being a big inspiration to him, also going into the military etc.), and then Hope sent this record over, which Cole really rocked with and added a verse. Both did a phenomenal job, all-time record 🔥
Just to mention that this new decoration with "kess & han" on the back, and the dog sleeping on the sofa, it's the cutest and beautiful thing on this youtube 🥺🥰
The girl on the left GETS IT! The golden corral line was hard AF also you were vibing w the lyrics - wanna see more of those genuine detailed videos LFG
looks deja vu, scene Jhope again around the capital, meeting with small children reminds me of The Astronaut MV, the scene is near the railroad tracks reminds me of Danger MV, Jhope took the train, reminds me of Spring Day MV & Yet to Come MV 🥺
They both wrote it HOBI & J Cole song and PDogg, BTS producer PDogg, all 3 wrote this song, JHOPE is leaving for Military Ladies in couple months and it's HOBI song, Hello 'HOPE On The Streets 🕺🌞 a song he help wrote before He goes into Military serve for his Korea Country, this song was HOBI song for Army's and the Man he became HOPE On The Streets our bright Sunshine..☀ 💜😎✌️😘👑💜😎🔥
Alright So No one writes for Jcole ..He most definitely wrote his verse and jhope wrote the other parts of the song . Which is why this is more so a their song instead of jhope ft jcole ,its jhope with jcole
Hip Hop Head here; i should warn you that you might not find every Cole track warm and relatable if you're not too familiar with hip hop, but Cole is meaningful in every verse he writes and excites me to see someone interested. 'Love Yours' and his feature in 'Pretty Little Fears' is a great place to start in my opinion. Also since this song came out, I'm learning that BTS sampled Cole's "Born Sinner" with "Born Singer" so listening to the original might be a pretty cool Easter egg for you guys. I dabble in KPop every now and then and I'm always impressed with BTS. Such an exciting collab
JHope wrote his lyrics and the music for this song. . How could anyone write the Good-bye ARMY song from Hope's heart except him? And of course, no one writes for JCole.
Thank you for the twice journey it was nervewracking for a whole month being a truly wrecked me they slayed billboard they have audio problems or lagging during the live performance but billboard owned it they fix the next day Thank you anyway once forever ❤❤❤ they had misamo and michaeng
Hope world was inspired by Cole world. J.cole's been around a long time. You should definitely check out more of his music even if you aren't into rap alot of Coles songs have powerful lyrics. Of course there is still a bit of playfulness and nonsense but for the most part Coles lyrics/music mean something. Not to mention the Dreamville which is a collaboration of different rappers which I think Cole founded or partially founded, they make amazing songs
I just noticed something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It starts off with Hobi giving a dap (is it "dab" or "dap"?) handshake to the kid.... and ends with J Cole and Hobi dapping. Is this a generational thing? J Cole said something about passing the crown (but he's not quite ready yet). Maybe the kid is not representing ARMY. Maybe the kid is the next artist that will be influenced by J-Hope and J Cole before him????

У Хосока и без Коула все песни сумасшедшие(More, Arson).
As a J Cole fan that stumbled into the K Pop world, it’s so refreshing to see two communities being introduced to each other. So dope to be able to see someone listen to one of the greatest to do it in their genre for the first time.

Hope World came from inspiration from Cole World...hobi is a fan of jcole since he first got into rap
