Why so much hate on this? Why everyone excepted a twist on this? This is exactly what the parfum version of Sauvage should be. Heavier, less scratchy, very soft projection yet keeping the original Sauvage DNA. For me, this is the perfect release for what it should be, i am not disappointed by any means on this release. This is excellent release from Mr. Demachy. Now the line is complete and you have the all options that should suit your usage case.

Exactly, the BDC line is exactly the same. The edt Projects the most initially, the edp is in the middle with performance, and then the Parfum .

I respect your opinion; however, I think Sauvage Parfum IS actually what Sauvage should have been from the start. To me, this is the absolute BEST iteration of the Sauvage line. I could barely detect the ambroxan in this one, and it’s so much more refined and sophisticated! I even got nuances of the leather that I also sense from Dior Homme line, which was exciting to me. And while the Sauvage DNA is still there, I think this one truly represents Dior, whereas the others are just plain “douche”. To me, this is a winner.

I get 10-12 hours of longevity on this. It projects for the first 2 hours, then sits on the skin but man or man…it smells wonderfully. Perfectly blended and well rounded compared to the EDT. Extremely satisfied 😊.
Also, it makes perfect sense to me. Some of use don’t like the loudness of the edt. Also, the note breakdown doesn’t sound right of the parfum that you gave.

I have no clue as to how people get bad performance on this scent. It's not dior homme parfum in terms of performance but it's most certainly a great performer. Sebastion is a great nose but I feel he's overlooking this. Resinous Mandarin, Tonka and ambroxin. It's the most unique in the line by far. EDP is the most redundant.

I think the EDP is more similar to the EDT, and therefore more redundant, than the Parfum is. I don’t find this to be an ambroxan bomb in the way the others are either. Like with Bleu, I think the Parfum is the smoothest and is my favorite of the line. Longevity on me is significantly longer than 5-6 hours. The parfum is Sauvage for people who don’t want to blow people away. I’m not quite sure how a Sauvage parfum makes any less sense than an Eau Sauvage parfum or an Homme parfum.

I own the the edt, sampled it on paper years ago wasn't impressed. I kept smelling this on people and couldn't out my finger on it but was liking what I smelled. I figured out is was sauvage and pulled the trigger on the edt and was initially impressed because it was unique in my collection. didbt quite understand the "generic" complaints at first. later I realized that the cedar note was very prominent, didnt realize it was cedar at first. not sure why people call this an ambroxan bomb, not sure what ambroxan smells like isolated but I now know what cedar smells like isolated and the edt smells like a cedar bomb if you ask me. and the cedar remains prominent/linear throughout the life of the scent on my skin. after owning for a few months , now I'm not so impressed with sauvage edt but I still like it. it smells great layered with other lighter citrus based fragrances. dont like it as much by itself. it does smell awesome on other people, but not on me. in hindsight I could have gotten a cedar heavy sent to do the same job.
even though cedar is an often used note in fragrances, in the 50 or so bottles I've owned over the years and the 15 bottles I own now, nothing has such a prominent cedar note as sauvage edt. at least that is what stands out to me.

I sold my EDT a couple of months after it was released. I just picked up the pure perfume version when I ordered Oud ispahan ..I'm glad to hear it's not loud , that's why I couldn't stand the original

For some reason. I don't smell much of anyhing on the edt or edp. I believe I just smell something like burnt pot. Does anyone else think Sauvage is completely overated?

I tried the Parfum, for me I still get a soapy accord on my skin...In my opinion I would skip this and stock up on my Dior Pour Homme Parfum or go for the Fahrenheit Parfum version

Late comment. But i recently ran out of Sauvage EDP , it was the first batch of EDP released and the performance was amazing!!!. So when the Parfum came out i went and sampled it.. and it’s nice but i got a soft spot for the EDP.
P.S. Dillards had a in store 15% off all fragrances over 75$ except “Chanel” sooo i picked up a Sauvage EDP 200ml!

I just get sandalwood on my skin, very polite sandalwood. The Ambroxan doesn't project at all, the EDT bizarrely performs so much better. The only great parfum from Dior is still Eau Sauvage, way better then this. I'm gutted I bought this. Parfum should last a bit better, three and a half hours max.

What is Dior doing!? 🤷‍♂️ the parfum versions of their other lines are spectacular, why couldn't they do something more interesting with this especially for what they're charging for it. Its complete madness.

Jeremy Hinze more versatile than the others. TBH, I find Dior Homme Parfum unrelentingly heavy at times, tiring to wear. I like it but that might be my least favorite. Favorite would be Eau Sauvage (2012)
