Narration & Line Choice
This is pretty close to the same lines I'd choose if I was racing this course
Keep in mind during the race they reroute the beginning over the "V-Rock"
When I pass Lance I'd likely stay right if it were a race run and not take the wooden bridge/slab
Good luck to all of those racing in the N* DH Summer Series Спорт
Getting ready to go to Northstar on the 5th. Kept hearing people talking about boondocks so I figured I'd start watching vids on it. Good stuff man.
Heck yeah dude hope you have a great time up there! I have some newer videos from this year if you wanna take a peep at those too. Boondocks is one of my favorite trails there, once you figure out the lines it flows so good ✌🏻
Coach Justin back at it! Good stuff dude💪🏼
Thank you bro! I enjoy doing these and if people benefit then why not? Way better than vlogging haha
Well done commentary! Thanks for sharing man.
Thank you Ed, man I love this trail!
Great preview thank you!
Great video! I'm hoping to ride this trail this summer
It’s a must if you can make it to Northstar. It’s not too steep which is nice it’s all about line choice and maintaining speed! I just rode it again this season and posted a video on it. It’s relatively unchanged this season.
That was perfect that you did this video. I’m racing there this weekend. Thanks for sharing! 👍
Hey man thank you, hope it helped with your lines in the race run. Let me know how it went for you!
@@justin_niemi went pretty good. Got 4th in my bracket, after suffering a concussion on Livewire the day before doing some warmup laps. Lol. All is well now though. 👍😂
Love it. If you ever want to test out my 22' Kenevo Expert with Magura brakes at UCSC, lmk. Would love to see it reviewed. I'm heading up to Northstar next weekend and appreciate your video, helps a lot!
That sounds sick I'd love to hop aboard that steed and go for a ride down some of those trails! I hope the video helped you with your line choice, let me know how it went.
@@justin_niemi Nice - ya man your video helped me a ton. I'm pretty new to this sport (about 3-4 months in) and hooked. First time to Northstar I only did blues. This last time we did every black and boondocks, sticks n stones, and upper half of karpiel. Your video helped a ton for boondocks. That is my favorite trail there, sticks n stones next. Stoked to keep going. Only thing is I have a S3 - if that fits lets find a way to have you take it for a day in UC, or I'll be up in Northstar in September one more time if we cross paths, take it for a day there. Also have a 19' kenevo expert and love switching back and forth. They are completely different. Love the vids, good stuff.

🔥🔥🔥💪🤙
Nice lines, looked so fast on it!
Nice run dude. I'm assuming practicing for racing next weekend?
Hey Jeff, no racing for me this season for a few reasons! Just wanted to share with those who may be full gas this weekend 🤘🏻
Super helpful to have a line cheat sheet, thanks! What bike are you on these days?
I am running a 2021 Transition Patrol in size XL. Most of my parts from my previous bikes transferred over except shock and fork!
What are those bike pants called?
Seems technicals are very hard. Shall I try mastering flameout first before boondocks?
I’d say work your way up! Flameout to woods I’d a great choice. Boondocks is more about line choice and brake control, especially in the lower half.
Awesome trail and a good speedy run. Love the narration!
