Back in the day she was a fun mom. I'm sure she would be happy someone that really appreciates her treasures and is going to enjoy them for years to come.
Oh, if that lady's mother could just see how excited you get about those finds. I bet she would be so happy someone else cherishes them as she obviously did.
I took care of my mom at home when she got dementia , I'm glad I did, it brought us closer before she passed away , great video I love how excited you get 😊
I also took care of my mom at home. I lost her In March. I miss her so much. Bittersweet, my dad passed Christmas day 2014, came for mom on March 21, their 76th anniversary!!
I too took care of my mom. off and on during her surgeries and recovery. Then after those months i'd fly across the country to my home. Her final sick cancer I told her am staying to the end or however long she needed me. then she went on Hospice and took her home for her last 63 days. There is something said about helping your parent pass on that no one will understand unless they were the caregiver. It's a gift to help until the end, a chance to learn and to have a closeness mothers and daughters wouldn't have if this didn't come up.
@@brendastraley8829 absolutely and you learn to do for them things you never imagined you could do and it doesn't phase you at all, agree!! Thank you for being a wonderful daughter!! Xoxo
I wish she/they could see your face , lighting up at every beautiful piece 😊.. I just know they are thankful it's in good hands 🙏.. thanks for sharing hun.. enjoy your treasures ✨🍀😊
Some of that Halloween paper stuff reminds me of the stuff we had at elementary school when I was about 6 years old. You stumbled into a hot pocket of treasures.
Right up your ally. 🙂 I am thrilled for you!!!!! Your excitement and bubbly enthusiasm about these old, sentimental treasures blesses my soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️
The pumpkin glasses were my favorite. Renee you know that the universe is responding to you. You truly deserve it. You kindness is obvious and grateful way of living. I couldn’t be more happy for you.
That Estate Sale is an early Christmas gift for you. Wonder what treasures lie ahead? Anxiously awaiting part 2 and digging into the Halloween box. It's Great to see the wonder in your eyes as you pull your treasures out of boxes and bags. You are a Happy Gal today and we're all happy for you.
Oh. My. Gawd. I would be beside myself over all the Halloween items in this video. can't wait to see what else is in that box. I love it when people save their vintage holiday items with care and they are kept in such great condition. you can tell they really loved their holiday decorations.great finds! i'm jealous! and happy you found them.
SCORE! Renee you are too cute. So happy for you. Really enjoyed this video. What great finds. Can't wait for part 2 ! Don't you ever worry about setting the camera down. You have to have 2 hands. Especially at a sale like that. Rummage sales ,same thing. It's fun enough going through your treasures when you get home. Don't risk losing a treasure because you don't want to set the camera down. Something tells me you probably couldn't sleep after that haul. 😏👍 Excited for you.
The snowman designs are Hallmark from the 70’s. I remember them well, as my mother was a Hallmark employee and they received discounts on the merchandise.
your enthusiasm is so very refreshing!!! we had many of the decorations in the Halloween box hanging at my house in the '70s. So happy for you...definite score!! 🍊🍭🎄
YOU are the treasure.....Miss Renee. Thank you for sharing your lovely personality with us. You also teach us what life is really all about...people past and present. Love from Va.💕🙏🎅👍🎁🎄😘
The sleds! Never seen that type of nativity set. Shepherd so large. I believe the baby 👶 is in the manger & the crèche is the wooden structure their all in.
Your excitement is contagious! Your expressions, both facial and vocal, were so cute I had a tough time focusing on your treasures! Great Score. Sad about the older lady, but she would probably have wanted someone just like you to get these things. You are a good steward of history. I work in an art and history museum plus I'm a junker. I love the items, but I love the story and the research I get to do, too. Very happy for you. Can't wait for that unboxing. Maybe you'll relent and post tonight...lol. Well, I can hope!
Sorry, no post tonight! Unfortunately my full time job is consuming the remainder of my week, so it has to wait to the weekend. Something to look forward to! I've thought about working in a museum, but I so enjoy being able to pick and choose what I research and focus on. Plus, I'd probably run wayyy behind due dates for research projects! Haha
Enjoyed your video! Have to admit that at the beginning the sale looked pretty dismal with what mostly looked like junk...but you certainly pulled a home run out of it. Good example of why you have to always keep digging. That Pumpkin basket is simply amazing and is worth a pretty penny, you just don’t find them in that condition.
I'm so happy for you!! The smile on your face proves what is ment to be yours will be!! Enjoy your treasures and we will be waiting for the next unboxing!!
Your enthusiasm for vintage holiday is contagious! I can't wait to see those vintage die cuts and those two pumpkins are perfect! You were definitely meant to make it to that estate sale. I love family run estate sales and totally agree with your perspective on not pushing the family on those "not sure yet" items.
I was having an off day and had the blues. I decided to watch a little RUclips and started with this one of yours. Seeing your excitement over the box of vintage Halloween made me smile again. Thank you for reminding me life is good!
Great haul! Love how your face lit up when you were opening the Halloween box. It is so exciting to get things that you are hunting for. Really like your videos.
P&M, very good video! I've noticed that when family sells an estate -- it's almost always more personal. Don't hesitate to leave a contact number when there's a doubt about selling particular items.... Again, this was a great video -- your enthusiasm was very apparent and very contagious!
I have found more often than not, when they hesitate to sell an item, they usually end up keeping it (which I'm totally fine with, I like that it stays with the family). If I miss out on some things, I take it as I wasn't meant to have them.
I’m so happy for you just lately you have been killing it. That bench in your last video which I’m still extremely jealous of and now all this.all I can say is very well done 👍
Omg! You hit the holiday jackpot! My jaw dropped when I saw the tambourine and then it fell on the floor when you pulled out that pulp jack-o-lantern. The colors on the noisemakers are so bright. They're like new! I love everything and am super envious. Lol! I can't wait to see part two!
OMG,,,You are so cute, the way you get soooo excited,it makes me giddy!!I love it!!A big hello from Newfoundland!!I love your great finds,I'm a fan of older holiday stuff as well!!Thanks for sharing!
Tour tamb ok urine..that may be how it was made. I remember in the 50s, toys made in Japan w ol ukd be made from beer cans. The little cars you could see inside and they were from beer cans. They used what was available. Very innovative the Japanese are. Love to see how excited you get!! Xoxo
Much love to the family of the poor lady. It must be so hard to deal with all of this and to see their mom in the state of dementia. You are here to be the new caretaker of their family memories. You could tell that their mom loved holidays.
Love your haircut! You get so happy with your treasures, it brings a big smile to my face to see your happiness. You sure did find a lot of decorations that you love.
Oh wow what a score! I love the nativity set. To get all that and in such great condition. It's great that you'll be using it again as things like that should be enjoyed. As for all that Halloween, I bet you wish it hadn't just gone. You've got some amazing pieces. The Kewpie looking little elf, he's the cutest and in such great condition. She obviously looked after all her things very well and it's nice you are rescuing them and bringing that back into life. I'm also glad you got some of those lovely linens, I'm addicted to buying those. Can't wait to see your Halloween box unravelling. Thank you so much for sharing x
Great finds and yes I enjoyed watching how excited you get when you discover the treasures love the elf doll and that card board press wood whatever material pumpkin is devine!
Those Halloween and Christmas finds were AMAZING. I almost came off the couch when I saw you open that Halloween box! 😉 Great finds, keep up the good work.
Regarding the orange tambourine, A lot of old tin toys and other items were made from unused 'recycled' tin items. The insides of a lot of tin cars I have found in the past had alternate advertising on them.
You just won the "Grin" award of the month!!! Isn't is great to find treasures like this when out on the hunt? I didn't know "Frosty" had a wife!!!!! Well there you go!!....and yep I agree with others the Pumpkin glasses are a treasure!!! Bring a grin to a stone statues face!
That cardboard jack o' lantern looks very much like one from the 20's or 30'swhich is worth a lot of money; and the funny looking santa also i think is probably from that time period too. I have no kids, but when i see your face when you see something you like, it gives me a big thrill, like i was watching kids on Christmas day. Thanks for making me smile!
We had many of the Halloween decorations back in the day. So funny to see them on here and see you so happy about them. A blast from the past for sure.

Oh my gosh, you made out like a bandit on those finds! Love it when you get excited at what you're finding. It's so much fun seeing you find stuff aad I like the way you finish off with a recap at the end. When I dont have a lot of time, I just jump to the recap.
Hope that you have the chance to watch the unboxing of the entire box and that it brings back some pleasant memories! Hoping to post that video by Sunday at the latest!

With all that cool decor, I think that the mom must have provided a fun home for her family. I wonder if the family has photos of the home decorated.

Sheila Blische, as a retired teacher, I had wondered that, too.

Nice vintage Halloween score!
Regarding the orange tambourine, A lot of old tin toys and other items were made from unused 'recycled' tin items. The insides of a lot of tin cars I have found in the past had alternate advertising on them.
Good to know! I never noticed it before on other tin toy items, so it caught my eye.

The blow molds are different then I have ever seen
Very vintage
This was such a cute and fun video. Your excitement made my heart super happy. I can’t wait to see all of the other stuff! 🎃 🧡❤️💚🖤🌲
After watching, was inspired to turn on one of my favorite Christmas songs: Allan Jackson's - Let it be Christmas. Thanks for the inspiration.
That is a good Christmas song!
My favorite is "I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas" by Gayla Peevy
Oh my gosh, you made out like a bandit on those finds! Love it when you get excited at what you're finding. It's so much fun seeing you find stuff aad I like the way you finish off with a recap at the end. When I dont have a lot of time, I just jump to the recap.
Thank you! Some people do their recaps a bit differently, but I like to be able to review the items in a little more depth. Glad you like the recaps!
Another day of great finds! Looks like you will have to expand your pumpkin wing. Loved it!
