I was always taught there were just 5 basic dribble moves: crossover, between the legs, behind the back, In-and-out, and spin. But with the right imagination you can use those 5 moves to create an infinite number of possibilities.

@@wavwav8568 13 years old? You still got a long way to go and thats good. I recommend you doing move practices without the ball, Kinda like shadowboxing but with basketball. So that way you can find your most suitable move. Also you need to atleast train 30 minutes everyday, watch nba plays, and never feel yourself more superior than the other. Thats what i always do😅
Back in the day, while dribbling a basketball if your hand wasn't always on top of the ball it was called carried, or carrying which resulted in a turn over. I see the game is still evolving.

Personally, I prefer the simple double-cross, especially to break a press. It can be super low, super fast at any level. Even when I haven’t played for awhile, and have to go play alumni or something, the double cross is always something I have in the bag with minimal to 0 practice

Would add two nuanced moves: 1) Push release cross (like a push cross but you releases the ball earlier) and 2) I dont know what to call it, maybe high all-wrist release cross, like when you're hanging ball high and just snap your wrist for the cross. Nash used to do it all the all for a quick change of direction, often after he crossed over and the ball was hanging in his other hand, he'd snap his wrist to change directions and cross it back, as like a double cross type move.
Luckily they improved the rulebook since then so players can play with more creativity. It's only traveling, palming, and carrying under outdated rulesets.
