Haven’t watched Dragon Ball, read the manga or played any of the games since I was maybe 10 years old. I’m 25 now and I’ll always remember how much the series meant to me. Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger also meant a shit ton to me; this theme brings it all back. RIP Akira Toriyama, absolutely a once in a generation talent; I don’t know a single person my age who didn’t have a Dragon Ball phase at some point, he touched so many spirits.

I had never before thought that a presentation could stirr up tears in my eyes, but the nostalgia when I came to the part about the games I played back on ps1 and ps2, like dragon ball budokai 1-3, Kingdom Hearts, Jak and Daxter ect and then it struck me, I mean I already knew deep down but, then it literally struck me, I have not seen such an awesome game since ps2 died, it is almost like good games died with the ps2.
I mean there are some good games but none as good as the old ones back then they are just not as..... Ehm tying up (do not know if that is correct), I mean yeah the graphics are awesome now but the gameplax and the story I dont know.

This Game will allways and forever be the best Dragon Ball Z Game EVER made. After this game it ONLY got worse and worse, down the shitter. Infinite World was KINDA a glimpse of light, but it still wasn't anywhere as awesome as Budokai 3. And now, all that we have left is Memories of a great Game, with a new shitty Soundtrack, and lots of shit... Maybe DBZ for PS4 won't disappoint, but i highly doubt it will be any good :(

I find it funny that for the release of Budokai 1 the American release had the recreation of the shows opening while here in Australia we got one of the tracks from the OST with a montage of clips from the story mode and then with Budokai 3 here we got the opening theme with the lyrics while the American release was the instrumental version of the song

Think back to a simpler time. Back when the strongest form of Super Sayain was Super Sayain 4, back before Super Dragonballs. Back when The Supreme Kai was still a semi-respectable character, even if he still fucked up a lot. Back when unlocking characters was one of the most fun parts of the game. Back when finding "What Ifs" in your game was a surpise. Back when RUclips wasn't around to spoil your entire game for you and you had to go to school and debate with your friends about what was real in the game and what wasn't.

The strongest form of Super Saiyan was never Super Saiyan 4 because 4 isn't canon. Super Saiyan 4 is still the second coolest though. Rose is the coolest. That's just my opinion though. Super Saiyan 4 looks badass though.
By the way, I don't care about canon or non-canon, I respect it all. But I'm just stating the facts. People that hate on GT have barely given it a chance. Most of it is actually pretty damn good. Not as good as Z, of course, but good.
Xenoverse 2 is to me slightly above average because of xenoverse and I couldn't get past frieza

Hironobu Kageyama to me, is like LiSa. His voice is instantly recognized and it adds so much personality to all of his songs. It’s with a saddened heart but nothing but happy memories and a smile that is left on my face from the wonders of what Toriyama did for me during childhood and adulthood. RIP Akira Toriyama. Forever missed and loved.

Best intro music, that might be RB2 or Burst Limit, imho. (still, this game's intro is great).
But this game, it will be the absolute best DBZ 2d game I ever played (and, to some extent, the best DBZ game I played, since I'm 2poor2own a ps3, atleast I experienced the goodness that is BT3 and Budokai 3, so I'm satisfied. I still long to play RB2. Seems good. Xenoverse seems to be receiving mixed hype, so I won't hype myself too much, considering what Battle of Z was.).

This is the biggest part of my childhood. This is what got me into other animes in the first place. Well this and Naruto: Ultimate Shippoden, but more so this. I've had COUNTLESS memories playing this, one of the biggest with me and my older bro playing as Frieza and Cooler. This will *ALWAYS* hold a special place in my heart. This game was amazing, so many unlockables, so many secrets, so many fun forms, so many animations and best of all none of that complete 3D 360 bullshit, just nice and simple 2.5D 1 on 1 fighting.

Budokai 3 was and still is such a nostalgic game in my early childhood! After watching DBZ, on Toonami, I'd boot this gem and play for hours. Amazing what one man, a pen, some paper, and a brilliant idea can do for the world! Look over us from Other World Akira!
