I had trophies AI for two weeks, the first week (which was free) it performed flawlessly but the second week it started crashing and had multiple issues develop. It’s a great idea but they haven’t polished it enough
Agree with you, i was in the beta, the program is constantly updated every time you open it up and carries a significant payload (data/size), slowed down my rig overall, and was also buggy. IMO, the product needs more dev cycles but shows promise. For basic data logging and analysis, i've landed on VRS for now.
I've been playing around with this for the last 2 days on ACC, and when it works it works great, but a lot of times it just flat out stops working and I have to restart both ACC and Trophi a bunch of times to get it going again. I'm a very beginner racer but I went from ~1:39 on Red bull Ring with Mercedes AMG GT3 to 1:34 but I'm still having consistency issues. Probably more so due to lack of experience though. The telemetry overlay (with my and "ideal" braking and throttle) is probably the best out of the few features I've used. The technique grading one is also nice but I'm not sure what to put on without overwhelming myself with overlays😅
@@310racing To each his own. Our experience with Trophi and similar other "AI" systems has been underwhelming. We've been testing these kind of systems for the better part of the year and found no reason to rely on them.
@@TheOfficialOriginalChad 70ish? Twice a week for about a year (ish, we do other things too on the channel) More or less. The so-called "Mansell AI" doesn't work reliably.
It's not bad but buggy and needs to be worked on. As you rightly say the ai mansell suggestions need to be simplified for example and a real time overlay would be good starting points.
Have you heard of a bigscreen vr head set ? Im new to all this and reserching for first sim build info and that vr head set seems top notch...... pls search n review a bigscreen vr head set!!!!! We would all love to see youre opion, youre videos are great for pro beginer minded people
Its ok tool. match braking on practice runs is great to see how you overbrake or underbrake is definitely eye opener. But everything else is not that useful. AI gets annoying really fast. And other imputs like gears racing line etc are rated good or bad which does nothing. you deffo have to be a very very bad driver to get improvement from this for another stupid subscription fee as sim racers dont have enough of them
I feel the same way. It's a bit overpriced. If this was like JP in your ear telling you when to push/conserve tire and how to avoid crashes this would be amazing. But it's just a slightly more detailed braking line. I can get faster by watching other's hot laps on RUclips already.
@@JordanHarris to compare as mentioned is great for sure. Just to have that feeling of correct way to do it. But yeah agree there is no better tool of youtube video plus iRacing repeat corner tool
Note: I have nothing against these devs or anything with AI, just to clarify. I personally think this could be a cool tool for some people that do simracing mainly for fun and want to try and get quicker without worrying about their approach to doing so. However if you are someone using simracing as a training tool, I would strongly reccomend to stay away from this type of coaching and training, especially if you want to race in real life. Because if you build all of your racing techqnuiqe through the ai, you wont learn how to actually induce behaviors, how to figure out how to race a track, and you wont actually be getting better at adapting your driving and setup to new environments, the most crucial part about racing in real life.
I want the AI to give me callouts based on racepace and cars around me. Does anyone know if thats possible? Can the AI take the place of a spotter/race coach? If this was more than a simple practice coach it would be the best thing ever.
Not yet, it's early days, i'm sure they will evolve in complexity though iRacing will need to decide if they are going to allow for live, in-race virtual coaching as it could be perceived as a cheat for people who do not want to invest in yet another monthly service fee because everyone else is. 🙂
tells u simple stuff, or things u cant measure, we all know we need to brake later or accelrate earlier but u need to nail techniques to do so, you can learn all these points from free track tutorials online dont waste ur money it is seless
"This saves me trail and error" Dude, that is EXACTLY what the greatest drivers have been relying on for the past, well century basicly. Its what ACTUALLY makes you quicker, this is just trying to copy someone elses driving and in the long run you wont actually be improving in the same way that you would be doing through trial and error.

I got the t248 bundle a couple days ago on black Friday for only 180$ :) I am really enjoying it, noticeably better than my old g29
No, it doesn't.

i think relying on the live inputs will make u slower but the mansel ai and lap reports deff could
