Revelations was awesome. It was similar to Brotherhood but for me, Revelations was better. I liked the older Ezio and side characters in Revelations and the Altair memories were epic.
Altair, a true warrior forged in the fires of conflict and honor, embodies the struggle between duty and personal sacrifice. Throughout his journey, he grapples with the weight of his choices and the consequences they bring to those he loves. In the end, despite his mastery and resolve, he faces an inevitable fate that reflects the tragic cost of his path. His legacy, while marked by bravery, is also tinged with sorrow, leaving those who remain to ponder the price of his unwavering commitment to his ideals. Altair's story serves as a poignant reminder of the duality of heroism and the shadows it casts.
Says a lot about the strength of Altair as it's implied he studied the Apple's secrets for decades. Words cannot express the weight he must have carried, on top of the loss he suffered throughout his life. Truly a legend.
Altair’s strength goes beyond his skill in combat and parkour-it’s rooted in his unyielding will and the intellectual curiosity that led him to dedicate decades to unlocking the secrets of the Apple. That he spent a lifetime studying this artifact speaks to his sense of duty and vision for the Assassin Brotherhood. He wasn’t just accumulating power for himself; he was learning how to use it to build a better world, even if it meant a life of isolation and constant hardship. The weight of the Apple, both figuratively and literally, placed a unique burden on Altair, one he chose to bear knowing it could lead to his downfall. His personal sacrifices amplify his strength as well. Altair suffered incredible losses, including losing family, friends, and his master. Yet, he didn’t let these losses make him bitter or resentful; instead, they fueled his commitment to the Creed. He saw the toll that obsession with power had taken on Al Mualim and vowed to break that cycle, to redefine the Brotherhood’s values for generations to come. Altair’s strength is also seen in his willingness to share his knowledge through the codex, ensuring the Brotherhood would be guided long after he was gone. He didn’t hoard his understanding of the Apple’s secrets; he refined it into a legacy that would serve others. Altair was a true leader, blending wisdom and resilience to leave behind principles and values that would empower his successors to protect freedom. His journey is a testament to the burden he carried not only for himself but for every Assassin who would come after.
if only i possessed the humility to say to myself i have seen enough for one life, i have done my part But then again there is no greater glory then fighting to find the truth
It sounds like you're referencing themes from "Assassin's Creed," particularly regarding Altair and the Apple of Eden. Altair’s resistance to the Apple highlights his strong will and moral integrity, contrasting with others who were influenced by its power. His worthiness reflects his journey and growth throughout the series. What specific aspects of Altair's character or story resonate with you?
Altair is definitely a standout character in the Assassin's Creed series. His skills, philosophical depth, and the impact he had on the Assassin Brotherhood make him a compelling figure. He not only excelled in combat and stealth but also had a significant influence on the game's lore and themes of freedom and control. Many fans consider him a classic example of a "badass" assassin for good reason! What aspects of his character do you find most impressive?
Of all main assassins Altair's story may be the saddest Some like Ezio, Edward, Connor had a family at the end, retired and had good endings Altair had to abandon his family willingly and he died alone having most everyone. Mentor, wife, friends, children. He only had Darim left, and he had to let him go
We should all look at this the way it was supposed to be looked at. Keys #1 and #2 showed Altair as a young assassin rising through the order until he became the mentor of the assassin order. Key #3 is when he is an older man and with a family. It showcases a man who's had it all but lost it in mere moments. The only one who alive was his oldest son. Key #4 showed Altair reclaiming his throne as the true mentor of the Assassins. However this was also a burden. He could've given his son the title of mentor or someone younger and trustworthy. This is why he said what he said in key #5 Key #5 Altair has placed his memories in keys to be discovered by someone he would know nothing about. However because of the influence of the apple he felt obligated to teach this "someone" to be wise enough to know when to stop fighting and to live the life they and everyone deserves to live. A life of peace and with a family. This is the reason why he never told his son the true purpose of the vault and only told him to "live well". Altair had many chances to retire but he didn't. He was burdened to keep fighting and at the very end he died a regretful life. But not people passing on his memories. Key #6 Altair tells his only son to live well for him as Altair could never do. And without knowing it he taught Ezio that he had seen enough for one life time just like Altair had when he saw Niccolo polo off. Its safe to assume that if Altair didn't leave these memories behind then Ezio would've token the apple to continue fighting and in the end he would've died alone and regretful just like Altair in the very end. Instead Ezio took a different path. Leaving the Apple and starting a family with Sophia.
I almost forgot key #7 which was not made until Warren Vidic built the animus and allowed Desmond to view Ezio memories. This last "key" was left by Ezio who in the end wanted to teach Desmond one final lesson to end his story.
Hold on, in the scene where Altair gives Nicollo Polo the codex, Altair is 92. In the scene where Altair says goodbye to his son, Altair is still 92 but his son looks like he gets way older in under a year.
My eyes get on tears everytime I watch the part at 16:20, I know it's just a game but the background story behind that scene and the conversation is very emotional, well written by game devs..
Honestly the end of Altair’s and Ezio’s story in this game is so amazing. How they are polar opposites and how Altair wishes he would’ve said that he’s seen enough and how Ezio admits that and gives up his life as an Assassin while Altair dies being one. Also when Ezio talks to Desmond, just pure perfection and the best way to Cap off their arcs.
pâgal Làdká Lucy says in AC1 that the animus removes accents, but the animus that Desmond uses in ACII, BH & R didn't change the accent that they should have.
Altair's story in *Assassin's Creed Revelations* is definitely one of the highlights. It gives more depth to his character, showing his journey from a young, brash Assassin to a wise Mentor. His evolution across the series is fascinating, especially how *Revelations* ties it all together with Ezio discovering Altair's legacy. What were your favorite moments from his story?
Based on pure story telling this was my absolute favorite assassins creed game, the synergy between altair - ezio - desmond, was just so well done. And it felt like a dream when I visited istanbul myself, I really hope one day ubisoft will find back to its roots.
The synergy between Altair, Ezio, and Desmond is such a powerful aspect of the Assassin’s Creed series. Ubisoft really hit a high note with how they wove these characters’ stories together. It was a perfect blend of ancient and modern narratives, and the historical elements were woven so seamlessly with Desmond’s journey. Visiting Istanbul must have felt surreal, especially after seeing the city through the eyes of an Assassin. The setting, the culture, and the way the game captured it made it feel like stepping into history. Hopefully, Ubisoft will return to that magic, where the stories feel deeply connected and resonant.
Altair's improved voice really enhances his character in later games. It adds depth and conveys the weight of his experiences and growth. The voice acting helps bring his struggles and evolution to life, making him a more relatable and compelling protagonist. What specific moments or lines stand out to you?
“Assassin’s Creed Revelations” is such a masterpiece, especially for fans of the series who have followed Altair and Ezio’s journeys from the beginning. Altair’s scenes are definitely some of the most emotional in the entire series-they’re powerful and heartbreaking, giving so much depth to his character and legacy. Revelations brings everything full circle, and it does a great job of merging storylines while providing a satisfying closure to both Altair’s and Ezio’s arcs. The memories and flashbacks of Altair are particularly impactful, showing the weight of his responsibilities and sacrifices. It’s no wonder so many fans consider it one of the best titles in the series!
Sooo the first cutscene, Altair is nothing like the one from AC 1, he is calm and collected. The one from AC1 is brash and impulsive. Is it an updated/alternate storyline? Or does did altair truly go rogue before the events of AC1
Jeff Cantrell its because its set before AC1 , while Altair was still being trained and mentored. at the beginning of AC1 he's Al Muslims most skilled assassin so there's quite a few years between this and ac1 so during that period power and being fearless got to altair
OG Mudbone on ac 1 he had just lost the girl he loved thats why he was arrogant her name was adha one of the templars kidnap her and he couldnt catch up to the ship she was in.in a book or comic i dont remember he found the ship but she was already dead.he never knew her but he had memories of her.play altair chronicles its before ac 1 thats why he was such a dick lol
I was actually almost crying when Maria died in Altairs hands. Funny enough, “Bloodlines” was the actual first AC game I played so Maria and Altair pair had a kind of sentimental value to me. And I just imagined Altairs pain: his youngest son is dead, his best friend was killed, his whole Order was taken over and now his own wife, love of his life, dies in his own hands.
Today I read the book based on the game. Filled me with memories. I really miss this emotions in the games. For me the series died with Ezio. Connor was also good, but the emotional line was weaker. Damn, I know Ezio and Altair are cgi charakters, but I gave them a tear.
There was something special about Altair and Desmond sharing the same face, a visual link that highlighted their deep connection across generations. It created a powerful sense that Desmond was retracing Altair’s path, almost stepping into his ancestor’s shoes as he unlocked their shared memories. Seeing Desmond look into the past and finding himself in Altair’s form gave the story a sense of destiny, emphasizing that Desmond was uniquely connected to these great Assassins. It also symbolized how the Assassin’s Creed legacy was not just a set of ideals passed down through the ages but an inheritance of spirit and strength. Altair’s face on Desmond was like a reminder of how each Assassin left a piece of themselves within the Brotherhood’s collective memory, guiding and inspiring future generations. It really made the story feel like Desmond was not just experiencing history but actively carrying Altair’s legacy forward. That small detail of shared likeness connected Desmond to something larger, showing that his fight was not just his own but part of a much grander lineage.
He Is A Legacy, He Is A Warrior, He Is The Master Assassin, But Truly Is...He Is A Legend That Lives Across Different Legends Like Ezio Auditore And It Lives In Us, Everyone Has An Inner Altäir, An Inner Legend And An Inner Him.
Exactly! Those 29 people who “disliked” it must have been Templars in disguise, aiming to undermine the Assassins’ influence even in the digital realm. They’ll do anything to sway public opinion, hunt down Assassins, and obscure the true meaning of freedom and knowledge. Just like in the games, they’re lurking in the shadows, quietly working to suppress the Brotherhood’s ideals-whether by manipulating history or, apparently, by disliking videos! The Templars have always had their ways of twisting things to serve their goals, but the Assassins have never been easy to suppress. The digital age is just one more battleground where the spirit of the Assassins lives on.
For those of you who aren't good at arabic, al muailim is a very good name since it comes from the word ilm which means knowledge so al mualim means the knowledgeable one
That’s such a good point! Altair lived an exceptionally long life, especially for his time period, where the average lifespan was much shorter. He not only survived into his 90s but continued to lead and innovate, contributing massively to the Brotherhood and leaving a legacy that would last for centuries. His life was filled with purpose, wisdom, and profound achievements, which really makes his story even more impressive. He didn’t just live longer; he lived with a sense of duty and left an impact that would inspire future generations of Assassins. So, while his death is bittersweet, it’s also a testament to a life fully lived and dedicated to a cause beyond himself.
I like that both Altair and Ezio were heroes on their own way, but like most heroes, they die in humility or ruin, sometimes not understanded by their pairs.
I wish they would remaster the first assassins creed for PS4/Xbox One with the Altair in AC Revelations, the accent mainly tbh. And the graphics of course
I know, it’s tough saying goodbye to characters as iconic and beloved as Altair and Ezio. Their stories were so rich, and we got to watch them grow from young, brash fighters into wise, legendary leaders. Both sacrificed so much and embodied the true spirit of the Brotherhood. Even though their journeys have ended, their legacy lives on in every Assassin that came after, and they’ve left us with so many unforgettable moments. It feels like saying farewell to old friends who taught us about loyalty, courage, and resilience.
For everyone commenting about his age, the mixed dna of the protagonists who can wield pieces of eden, like he, ezio, Al Mualim, Rodrigo Borgia, and Haytham Kenway, all clearly get extended aging and somewhat enhanced physicality as a result. It's a logical assumption that perfectly explains all the weird crap with their strength and speed. Take the extreme example of Borgia, who did a good job wielding two pieces of eden, was able to duke it out with Ezio. Like 3 times. Despite being a portly man. That's not going over their heads. It's less ridiculous than eagle vision.
in assassins creed the secret crusade, malik is imprisoned in the dungeons, accused of murdering sef, altair and maria helped him escape but malik was later found, then executed, and later when altair returns to the village, they sent malik junior (his son) to kill altair, malik jr helped altair to get to the castle, i honestly think the book did the story part a little better, as with all books.
i came hear because i was curious about the original voices they are not bad the accent really gets you in the arabic theme but the spanish voice of Altaïr is just perfect
I love these missions, apart from the first one, if the first one is set before AC 1, then Altair should really still be the cocky self-important arse that he is before he redeems himself. In this he's far too wise and forgiving to be pre AC 1, if it was after it would make sense but Al Mualim is still alive so it can't be
Absolutely! Altair's legacy as a skilled Assassin and a complex character resonates with many fans. His journey set the stage for future protagonists and deepened the lore of the series. What do you think makes him stand out among the other Assassins?
Altair’s story truly leaves a lasting impact, especially considering his sacrifices and the legacy he built. His journey from a reckless youth to a wise Mentor is powerful. Do you have a favorite moment from his story?
I can tell this video is old because the first two memories have this bug where Altair is suppose to be in his 20s, but when you re-play it he has a 60s face. I think they corrected it later through a patch or simply never bothered
yahh i saw that too! like who tf gets graying facial hair and wrinkles at 24 in the dark ages, and then proceeds to have no gray facial hair and wrinkles two years later at 26?
Yes, it's really cool! Altair being voiced by Cas Anvar, who plays Alex Kamal in *The Expanse*, adds a great layer to the character. Anvar brought a lot of depth to Altair, especially with the maturity and wisdom of his later years in *Revelations*. It’s interesting to see how voice actors cross over into different fandoms, adding their unique touch to iconic characters. Did you feel his performance as Altair added something new compared to the earlier games?
It's a tough moment for fans. Altair's story resonates deeply, and his legacy lives on in the hearts of players. His journey, struggles, and ultimate sacrifice are truly memorable. What do you think his impact on the Assassin Brotherhood was?
Altair's story in *Revelations* is incredibly emotional, especially seeing how much he sacrificed and how he carried the burden of leadership and loss. His final moments, where he records his knowledge for future Assassins and chooses to die alone in the library, are really powerful. It's a fitting end to such a legendary character. His journey was full of struggle, and seeing his legacy endure through Ezio makes it even more impactful. What part hit you the hardest?

His journey is a testament to the burden he carried not only for himself but for every Assassin who would come after.
if only i possessed the humility to say to myself i have seen enough for one life,
i have done my part
But then again there is no greater glory then fighting to find the truth
RAMEREZ GRAB ME A TISSUE
Notice that Altair is the only man in that whole order who wasn’t affected by the apple. Abbas was wrong. Altair is worthy to wield it.
He looks pretty good for a 92 year old. :)
Altaiír was the most badass assassin of all time. You can’t argue that.
Of all main assassins
Altair's story may be the saddest
Some like Ezio, Edward, Connor had a family at the end, retired and had good endings
Altair had to abandon his family willingly and he died alone having most everyone. Mentor, wife, friends, children. He only had Darim left, and he had to let him go
Edward didn't have a good ending, he got killed by the guy with elf ear
@@K3ntucky123atleast his legacy lived on

OMG I JUST NOTICED...Aaaand I'm breaking into tears now...
THANK YOU HOLLY!
This is why he said what he said in key #5
Key #5 Altair has placed his memories in keys to be discovered by someone he would know nothing about.
Nice analysis
they should remaster ac1

I don’t think so... I played every game until Black Flag, and the one I liked the least was the first.

In Assasins creed 1
Altair had an English accent while in revelations
He sounded like an arab
pâgal Làdká Lucy says in AC1 that the animus removes accents, but the animus that Desmond uses in ACII, BH & R didn't change the accent that they should have.
Because he is a arab
Wish they got the original actor to do it. The altair in ACR sounds like ezio with a shitty arab accent
Altaïr's story in Revelations was probably the best thing about the game. It was great to learn more about this Assassin
Assassin's Creed Revelations was such an awesome game I don't get the disgruntled people, and the soundtrack is magnificent.
Anthony H i think all Ac games are wonderful. It's maybe just our expectations that gets us :)
Altaïr - best Assassin. Revelations - best game.

I love Altair's improved voice.
Altair's improved voice really enhances his character in later games. It adds depth and conveys the weight of his experiences and growth. The voice acting helps bring his struggles and evolution to life, making him a more relatable and compelling protagonist. What specific moments or lines stand out to you?
Those three young assassins who cleared the path for Altair (literally) saved the entire history and future of the assassins order.
Like the lord of the rings says that even the smallest person can changes the circumstances of the story
"I have seen enough for one life..."
Altair and ezio have the strongest connection of all
It’s so weird hearing Altaïr’s voice without the American accent since I’ve played the first game for countless hours
I know right!! I thought I was the only one who acknowledged this lol
AC Revelations. One of, if not the best Assassin's Creed title. Love Altair's scenes here. So heartbreaking.
Jeff Cantrell They wanted to make him a more likeable character I believe.
Jeff Cantrell its because its set before AC1 , while Altair was still being trained and mentored. at the beginning of AC1 he's Al Muslims most skilled assassin so there's quite a few years between this and ac1 so during that period power and being fearless got to altair
well halfway through ac1 he becomes more calm and realizes he was a jerk so maybe this is In somewhere around there ?
OG Mudbone on ac 1 he had just lost the girl he loved thats why he was arrogant her name was adha one of the templars kidnap her and he couldnt catch up to the ship she was in.in a book or comic i dont remember he found the ship but she was already dead.he never knew her but he had memories of her.play altair chronicles its before ac 1 thats why he was such a dick lol
rikardo_plays oh lol ya
I was actually almost crying when Maria died in Altairs hands. Funny enough, “Bloodlines” was the actual first AC game I played so Maria and Altair pair had a kind of sentimental value to me. And I just imagined Altairs pain: his youngest son is dead, his best friend was killed, his whole Order was taken over and now his own wife, love of his life, dies in his own hands.
I love that they used footage from ac 1

The scene where Altair fights and kills so Mualim was from AC1
Today I read the book based on the game. Filled me with memories. I really miss this emotions in the games. For me the series died with Ezio. Connor was also good, but the emotional line was weaker. Damn, I know Ezio and Altair are cgi charakters, but I gave them a tear.
Serries died with Desmond Miles.
@@Kraken1Kidgood things he's back, albeit in a different form
I miss when Altair and Desmond had the same face
The "all that is good in me began with you, father" is enough to make a grown man cry
29 people who disliked it are the templars they have find a way to hunt assasins
I let Abaus (however the hell its spelled) die like 20 times before i stopped him. it was quite satisfying.

By far I still enjoy playing Assassin’s Creed - AC: Revelations, nostalgic feels for the best Characters in my opinion.

*ASSASSINS CREED BROTHERHOOD MEMORIES*
SensationalMeat Oh no, god forbid I take a break. I've only spent the last three fucking weeks in that machine!
Altair death was the saddest in all assassins games
People are sad about Altaïr dying, but also people forget he loved about double the amount of time people lived at the time.

Conflict among the ranks. Interesting, ey.
His sheer amount of badassery is the reason why I'm naming future son Altair (if I ever do end up having kids)

Altair's story in *Revelations* is incredibly emotional, especially seeing how much he sacrificed and how he carried the burden of leadership and loss. His final moments, where he records his knowledge for future Assassins and chooses to die alone in the library, are really powerful. It's a fitting end to such a legendary character. His journey was full of struggle, and seeing his legacy endure through Ezio makes it even more impactful. What part hit you the hardest?
