I started off as a selfish knitter, but I'm starting knit for my husband and I've knitted hats for my kids. I've also knitted some gifts for family, too. Great podcast, I've been meaning to come buy and get those glass stitch markers! I'm trying to go to Rhinebeck this year, might be going on sunday this time around.
I mostly knit for my daughter and friends but I am going to become a selfish knitter and make a few things for myself. I love that you are providing names to the different items that you guys have worked on or are currently working on...I have a notebook where I keep the names of patterns that I want to work on
Love your new Podcast! I mostly now knit for myself, but I do also knit for friends and family as gifts for baby births and holiday gifts. My friends all look forward to my knitted gifts and I am happy to say they are knitworthy! They definitely do wear the items I make for them, which is shown in photos they take of family gatherings. I now knit year round, so most of my knitting projects are for myself.
Enid HowardI love to knit for my daughter and granddaughter who live in Port Washington. I walked past your store when you first opened pushing a stroller. Love your podcasts
Hi ladies! I am Kathie from the store today! I see that when I watched this last that I did not say who I knitted for! Mostly, I knit for my grandson, Rune who is 18 months old. Secondly, for me 😁
Just finishing Pam's denim scarf she modeled in a previous podcast and can't wait to come into store to start working on Eyelet Ponchini and some other projects you showed us. I love knitting for others like my daughter and also very often I gift baby blankets and sweaters to friends who are recent grandmothers. That gives me great joy. Don't get me wrong, I'm a selfish knitter, too!!
Just found your podcast and had to go back and watch the first two episodes. I enjoyed seeing all of your projects and the lovely yarns your shop carries!! Absolutely love the ruler bracelet. I am working on the Starting Point and agree that it is a great design. Currently I am knitting for myself but occasionally knit for others. Looking forward to the next episode!!! Thanks Carla aka 1to1
Judy Hasnas thanks for comment! I wish I had more time as well! My husband asks me at home from time to time "aren't you sick of kitting?..you knit all day!" Hah!! I wish I knit all day. 😃
Hi ! Love the podcast- looking forward to taking a road trip to your store perhaps in the fall. I am a fairly new knitter, started 2 years ago. The first year I made something for everyone in my family- hats, cowls, scarves, ponchos. This year it's all about me and I'm addicted to shawls and sweaters. Keep the podcasts coming. So fun.
It was a fun "podcast "😊 I usually knit for others but have made myself a couple of scarves. My granddaughters are my most fun items except when they outgrow them before I finish It!! Keep your podcasts coming..
Hi Ladies, love your podcast and can't wait to meet you both on Saturday for the Brioche class. I usually knit for myself, but lately I'm making baby gifts for a friend and assorted holiday gifts for my family.
Really enjoying your podcast, ladies. Please share projects from the past, comment on wear ability etc. Still use my Color Affection so often- myself. I knit for myself or knitworthy people:}
I knit mostly for myself. I have been a giver all my life. I am a slow knitter, I am losing my vision. I have granddaughter but I don't feel. COnfident to make garments for them. I do knit them blankets and they love shawls. They are 11 and 4.
Dina! Thank you for the shout out, I loved having you here I just wish we could visit more often. The Pod Cast was really good, it is fun seeing what you all are making. I hope we see you in Rhinbeck but lets talk before then........ Again thank you!!!
great podcast! I admire your courage in front of the camera, I would go mute. I love to knit for others , especially if they ask . I'll knit for anyone from my husband to anyone's new grandchild. But, every now and than after a few pieces into which I put extra care and feel underappreciated ( like my husband's sweater), I start a project for my self that quickly goes by the wayside if I have a child to knit for. I think I'm a giver.
Hi, ladies lv your ascetic I feel if more people sought the beauty of color in hand work it could affect the peace of the land. Not kidding there is something about peace in logic that hand work brings . Color mathematical conscientious, completion in calculated measure equal to time management . Each to his own ratio. I think your pod cast displays this very well kudos 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🧕🏿👌🏾😍😇💕🌷🤓
