I viewed beautyberries as nothing more than a pretty weed. I just learned that they’re edible. So now I have a small crop of them in my food forest and I’ll be making jelly and jam.
Okay so I tried this Jam today and I really didn't like the seeds so the next time I make it, I'm going to make it like a jelly but I've got to say to me it kind of tasted like dates... thanks for your video!
Thank you for being brave and making up your own recipe. I agree less is more and so I’m excited to try it. Do you think it would work with less sugar?? I did the same with watermelon rind jam. I turned it into an apple butter without apples!

In your recipe for American beauty berry jam, do you add pectin?
I do not. In fact, I have never in my life used pectin. Lol

Do you ever see bees on that Beauty Berry bush?
Absolutely! Usually in spring when it’s loaded with little pink flowers.
