Thanks for watching, liking and subscribing! Will you be checking out Koa And The Five Priates Of Mara? Did you enjoy Summer In Mara as well? Let us know in the comments!
Seems you didn't know that this actually has a different developer than Summer in Mara, but perhaps it still inherited the writing of the original a bit though I can't imagine it being as weak.
As far as the first game (that I did a guide for), I think the art exceeded the experience but this may be the opposite way around based on the demo not to say it doesn't look good. I don't really care for the NPCs having fully realised lives but having correctly translated (or at least fun) and sensible lines think Mario Sunshine or Mario Galaxy.
The filler doesn't seem to aid this game much beyond tying it to the Chibigverse but perhaps it will be fine after a first playthrough if you can just play races and trials. I can't imagine it being THAT bad but maybe I'll be proven wrong.
This actually reminds me a lot of Super Mario 3D Land/World. It reminds me that we don’t get a lot of these style 3D platformers anymore. Bowswer’s Fury was probably the greatest take on this gameplay to date and I’m happy to see other studios trying to revive this genre. This looks like chill fun, even if it might be a bit easy.
Was curious how this was going to turn out. Will wait for a sale I think…nice review as usual!
Looks like fun, I think it reminds me the spirit of the first 3d platformers that was somehow more like slow paced but still it has some fast platforms as well
Decent looking game, but one I would pick up on sale or maybe just leave it with all the annoyances it apparently has
This game reminds me of Legend of Zelda: Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass mixed with Crash Bandicoot.
that water level looks like that 1 crash bandicoot water level part.
Wasn't this a kickstarter project? It looks like fun but yeah, will wait for a discount!!
It was but it was only a few months ago. It was more like an extension of the marketing than a project which genuinely would not have existed without Kickstarter.
You might miss out on one skin from not backing it but otherwise you should be fine I think.
Looks ok but this could've been something better
The platforming does look really fun. Its a shame about the open world feeling so much like a chore. I think this will be a pass for me. I've got enough great platformers in my backlog as is.
Normally, when I hear pirates, my attention is peaked, however the game looks too dull and mundane for me. Ill stick with Blue Fire instead
Curious how much these 3D platformers that seem to have had a renaissance are actually selling, since none of them really look that good.
Scam game
That’s a weird comment lol, what makes it a scam?
You can't just shout "scam" and leave us hanging as to why.
There’s nothing scam about this game, it’s Chibig who own the Mara IP and it’s a spin off that they put together with a studio called undercoders who made games like Mail Mole
Not really
