Unbelievable work Dan - your story is a carbon copy of mine. Shout out from Dublin, Ireland. I'm balls deep in emotional overload trying to repair my marriage and the trail of destruction I've left along the way. Guilt and shame are overwhelming on most days. 50 days in. Really appreciate it lad and have been sharing with my mates who are ready to face it!
Great podcast Dan and Stewart , Well done to you both on your recovery and sobriety. When we get to see threw the mirage that drinking and using is the only way to live your life only then we get to start the real journey to become the truest version of ourselves . We become free and that’s is a beautiful thing . Very similar story to me I was really hot rock bottom a various times I’m my life due to cocaine and alcohol abuse been given ipp sentence and prison for 5 years due to violence in blackout , relationship breakdown the lot , Finally now today after a long road of learning the hard way I have peace ☮️ in my soul and I would not swap that for any money or possession out there . I’ve now been sober since 2016 June 🙏 so grateful for that one day at a time 🙏💪 Take care keep pushing the sobriety it’s the only party worth going to
Another good listen, enjoy ever podcast/video. I’m in a fellowship GA and 4 years off a bet, can relate to these videos every week. It’s so important this stuff is out there as all fellowships abd recovery programs don’t advertise that there is help out there. Keep doing the good work 👊
Great podcast as always. Appreciate these videos every week. One day I’ll beat addiction. I miss Kirk though too he was part of this and is a great guy,I hope he’s good. 😊
Brilliant podcast. Gritty and raw and so relatable. Great shoutout to Ryan holiday’s book aswell Dan, I’m a big fan of Ryan’s and his stoic philosophy content helps to keep me sober. Another Belter of a podcast thanks Dan
@@carlenebantick9292 Totally and big congrats from me! I love the podcasts but it's really weighted on people who give up drinking re 'the packet'! I've never heard anyone discuss the smoking side and it's such a tough one! Well done you!!!!
@@carlenebantick9292 I have to be frank, when I stopped drinking I had beers in the fridge and never wanted them as needed a fag to think of opening a beer. From what I’ve seen on the podcast, people also avoid drinking re the packet. Drinking seems more of the middle man addiction between the other addictions of coke and smoking too! It’s quite an interesting point!

Hello mate, hold strong, all you need is time to sort it all out, light is at the end of the tunnel, fixing all this stuff is hard but so worth it!
Gentleman

Where’s Kirk?
Thinking the same he has gone off the banner
The Elvis statutes finally got him
Dan said in comments last week that he thinks Kirk won’t be back and it’s Kirk’s decision

@@ian10064love the “in” joke!
Anyone else hear the train at 26:47
where's Kirk gone guys ?
Just wondering all, did anyone stop smoking as well as drinking? If so, how have you found it?
I did it the same time 😅 giving up smoking was harder than the drink for me. I'm 9 months in and I dnt even think about smoking.
