    I think because Aldi tends to be cheaper so they don't do the loyalty card thing. I've been doing Sainsbury's online shops, trying to stick to the Aldi price match but it's not easy! The upside to online shopping is that you know what you're going to spend before the till, but then you receive your delivery and realise you (and I mean me lol) don't have enough food and have to go for a top up! 😂 I have stopped counting the number of times I've said " everything is so expensive"! I used to do 70/80£ a week for us four but not it's more like £120/130.... like you said, it's a sad state of affair 🤐 thanks for sharing xx

    I shop at Ocado and after shopping around think i get the best value with them. They have such a good variety othet places dont have and good offers. We're a family of 6 and it costs around 200pw but i do buy all organic so if i didn't would be much less. I saved £52 in offers this week and they now price match. If you haven't used before there is 30% off first shop code 😊

    I’m an Asda shopper! I tend to do it online then when I see the amount it makes me take stuff out of the basket. Whereas when I’m in the shop I don’t know the total until I get to the till! I also get a delivery pass which does work out better for me than using my petrol.

    Great video! I don't go crazy with my food shop but I do make sure to include some treats so that I don't feel deprived and as eating in is a better option right now than eating out! Sopherina had a great video recently making flapjacks which looks really easy to do and she added seeds, nuts etc. I was thinking that might be worth you considering making to replace the high protein bars - you can add what you like really x

    • @LaraJoannaJarvis
      @LaraJoannaJarvis  10 месяцев назад

      Ooh, yes! I used to make flapjacks all the time. I should show how much they cost once you've bought all the ingredients vs what the packaged ones are, thanks for the idea. This was a lot of snacks after the snack cupboard was depleted and nice to have some treats in for our anniversary too. We tend to mix it up so strict budget sometimes and more relaxed other weeks. Thanks for watching xx

    I shop with Ocado , they now price match with Tesco and after each shop they send you a coupon for the money you have saved I usually get around £5-8 a week back. My weekly food budget is £250 but I am feeding 5 adults and it does include household goods too. X

    I only shop in Lidl/Aldi. Try to go once every 2 weeks. We are family of 4, on average I spend £100. I don't buy any snacks but get lots of fruit and vegetables as rhe boys enjoy those. Meat we bulk buy from Costco, i also get fuel from there as its cheaper than anywhere else. The prices of food and other household products are just ridiculous. I used to compare the receipts and tick off what has increased, just to see, but have given up now. Everything has gone up so there is no point. 🙄

    Here in Ireland tescos are probably the most expensive supermarket, and what they are doing with loyalty cards like if you have one the price on some items are cheaper. Example Lynx mens deodorant €7 but €5 with card when was it ever €7. Kelloges coco pops 430g €515 but €4 with card. Supermarkets / food shopping is more expensive here , always has been, when i was shopping for 3 kids and 2 adults i would easily spend €200 a week. My youngest is 19 and living away so now shop for 3 adults and be lucky to get away with €120 a week saying that my husband gets feed in work 😮. And i don't normally get juices, crips, sweets, wine, Jaysus there's nothing in my shopping 😂😂.

    I spend around £130-£150 a week for 3 of us , but I am dairy free which don’t help with food prices 🙁

    I'm watching from Australia, groceries here are also ridiculous, probably similar to you guys actually, I'd spend 250-300 Aussie dollars a week now for a family of 4 shopping at Aldi for similar things which would be similar price on conversion to what you spent. It's so difficult to try and find ways to cut costs 😢

    I've never seen the Tower Gate family biscuit box but yeah, that looks so enticing :D they look like they'll go well with an Earl Grey or Lady Grey tea. That is a lot of money. We spent £191 in Sainsbury's lol. Crazy times.
    May I request a video? A video on your favourite tea or top three teas and why?

    I wish Aldi had a reward card! We predominately shop in Tesco as my partner gets staff discount but still go to Aldi most weeks. For 2 of us and a dog we easily spending £70-£90 a week on our food shops…we remember when we could do a food shop for £40 most weeks!🫠
