This is probably my favorite death in this game, purely because of how scientifically accurate this one is. Not many people know this, but just because you landed in water when you dropped from a big height doesn't mean you won't take serious damage. Why? Well, contrary to popular belief, when falling from a lethal height, it's not the drop or the impact itself that kills you, it's the kinetic energy your body built up from the fall that does the job. That bodily damage from falling such a height is the result of that kinectic energy undergoing Newton's 3rd law, and having it's reaction from its equal and opposite action be your organs smashing into the sides of your body's interior. Hence, why stuff such as soft pillows and inflatable trampolines are used to break falls: They are flexible enough to take the kinetic energy you create from falling and disperse it. Water doesn't do that. It simply reacts to the kinetic energy, not absorb it. As a result, while it can definitely break some smaller falls, if you drop into water from a great enough height, it would be the same as hitting concrete, if the concrete could swallow you up into its mass. Hence, why Mario dies here. He forgot that basic rule of physics that *WATER DOESN'T BREAK BIG FALLS DIPSHIT.*

I was more focused on how Mario was sad when he was about to die then the actual deaths, if I was in the game, as soon as he’s about to die, I would either possess the person and make them help him and change there mind, or save him by shrinking, catching, blocking, or even injuring but then healing, if u where in there, would u help him, be too shocked, or help the death, another thing, this goes for other playable characters that cry why they get scared/about to die
I like Len even though she treats MArio as nothing more than an experiment, although I still wonder why she helps you twice in the Insane route
