So, in the sane route Marchionne helps you achieve your goal and apologizes to Luciano.
But, in the insane route, Marchionne consistently tells you to commit suicide, and even serves as the game's final boss.
This might me a spoiler
No not really, in sane, luigi successfully reaches mario. Marchionne was just helping Mario because Luciano possessed Luigi
But in insane route it was Proven By MF9 that Luigi just collapsed in front of the mansion and didn't continue to reach out mario. so Luciano couldn't posses Luigi.
And to be fair, all ghosts wants to kill living people and Marchionne figured that you need to complete an unfinished business in order to stop feeling the pain.

@@neonmetal424 I wanna say in sane Luigi is still a fake Luigi tho. Like an evil spirit that just wanna bring Mario to death cuz it would make no sense for Luigi to make it back in the sane route but not the insane route. Peach was fake in sane route and I wanna say Luigi is too. And I feel like Luigi was not himself when he ran away after Marchionne and Luciano confessed and Luigi also killing Mario after they made it out. I just don't feel like the real Luigi would do that and I want to believe that he's still alive in all the sane endings.
All i can hear now is Marchionne giving the LTG speech

The two games of mtmb is perfect and for me this games haves the most dark,brutal and sad story i ever seen and this game haves a good art for a fan game i still have fear on game over screen

I love this game and I wish that the creators continued the story, but all good things must come to an end eventually.
not sure why i didnt realize until now but the in-game reason the Insane route is longer is Marchionne causes many of the events there(hunting for the brooch fragments, chasing Len through the silent forest, Misery being hostile & dropping you into the spider cave etc)but here he's your ally so none of those things happen and instead of having to fight and search for them you are just given the necklace and brooch in the Sane route

That "Peach" lookalike hanging in the woods looks EXACTLY like the False Aurora doll-thing found in the Trial of Lust in the Insane Route.
EDIT: And now for something completely different. The Luiciano chase in the Insane Route has the house (and the Brother) in flames. But here, he's quite... ahem, non-conbustable. Nice contrast, Marios_Friend9.

Now my fav. games are Undertale/Deltarune, mario the music box/arc and Hollow Knight...
Anyone wondering, even if there are different endings no one gets a good ending, if you take a look at the all endings video Robby made probably a while ago, all the endings have a bad side, like if you befriend riba and get his trust, you get sick and die and then riba cries and then it ends.

The no save sane route makes more sense than insane but It don't matter much bcs the secret passage is like the way out of the dream in the sane route u leave with Luigi but insane u leave with ribs so I think it just makes a little more sense in the sane route

Because of how deeply complex and visceral this story is, I don't see why they couldn't have used their own original characters to fill out the roles of the mario lads

Theres no such thing as neutral. The determining factor is whether you kill Peach or not. That's the only thing that puts you in a specific route.

So I guess they got rid of the Cleaver in the Sane Route? This is a bit disappointing,being honest. The Sane Route itself is just so disappointing and unsatisfying,the Cleaver route could have been a very original route like the Insane one but since they cut it out...

The No-save Ending Isn't actually the canonical ending. Whatever mario does or even though he doesn't save he always end up at the door of the mansion, his Death is inevitable unless he re-lives what happened with Marchionne. Marchionne's reincarnation happiness is also temporary that's why mario seems depressed all the time.
The no save ending is only canon if that’s how the player wants the story to end. Any ending can be canon in arc, just depends on the player.
