I would never use Brown wax on any piece of furniture and I am so glad that you brought out the white wax. Looks better now

This gave me inspiration. We have an old desk at home I want to turn into my craft desk and it's like a dark brown color and the handles have that old antique look. I want to give it a rustic gray feel. I love that style so much. I want to take it all apart and repaint it. The liners for the drawers and hutch shelves is a good idea. Thanks so much. Definitely a spring project I'm looking forward to. Mean time I can dust and clean everything.

Stunning! I like the wax you did on the paint. The stain on top looks so nice with the rest, and the little details are special. Thank you for giving it a new life!

You did a beautiful job! Personally, I liked it better without the brown and white wax but I loved the stained brown top and the new knobs you put on it. Great tutorial video.

You've given me ideas for my old sewing desk that I bought at a thrift store nearly sixty years ago. I don't know about markers or gel ink, but hairspray removes non-gel ballpoint pen ink. Add that to your arsenal for next time.

The little desk looks great now. I especially like the way you trimmed it and gave it straight lines. I’ve never really liked anything with dark stain for some reason I guess because it’s hard to get it right. But y’all did great.

Thank you! I would have loved to keep the lighter wood but with the marker stain I felt I had to stain it dark to help hide it.

I can't say as I like the distressing, but then again I've never liked that style. I do love the stenciling details!

Yeah, 😬 I liked it better without the antique wax too. For whatever reason I decided to use it. Oh well! 😂 Thanks for watching!

I have to admit i don't get the distressing craze. You went to so much trouble to clean and paint it then used the brown wax to make it look dirty again. i do love the colours you used and the new knobs! And you certainly gave it a new life ❤

I will admit that I didn’t actually love how the finish turned out. I had an idea in my head but once I distressed it, I wished I hadn’t. I’m always learning.
The person that bought the desk absolutely loved it and that makes it all worth it for me!

Distressing it really made it quietly have more presence. Before it was just too bright. You need also add in your labor.

Looks great you should definitely charge more especially with how much work you put in. Maybe $225

Thank you! 😊 I definitely put a lot of time in this piece! Unfortunately because I live in a rural area I have a harder time getting more for my furniture. I really just enjoy flipping furniture and I’m just thankful whenever I can sell the furniture and make a little extra money.
      Thanks for watching!
