    I love how you just "go for it" on things! Not "trained" for this but you do an AWESOME JOB on upholstery! You make these things accessible to all of us who also aren't trained..thank you!!!     This was fantastic to watch. This is what I would call Mom's touch of Love and hard work. It looks Awesome and I'm sure he will love it. I have a French velvet chair in storage can't wait to try this on it. Thank you. Love to you and your family.

    Wow ... I didn't know you could do upholstery w/o sewing. Dang , I gave away a beautiful wing back chair that I was going to reupholster myself but thought it was too difficult...Ugh!! It was a beauty and I could have done it . Well, Your chair turned out so awesome for your teenager!!!!

    Great ! Absolutely super for teen or man cave or women parlor to do some "mullet " on a back of the chair -its one of the kind for sure. It was extremely helpful to me ,as i don't like sewing,my sewing machine and I kinda frenemy's ...Idea with cushion under -BRILLIANT,not only for teens ,but for 4 legged people too ,my little Tootsie love to hide leftover of the bones and other things under the cushion ...Thanks.

    Great job. I upholster by winging it as I go along. How much material did you buy? Was it a specific fabric? I'm about to upholster a small chair in leather (pink!) .....any tips?

      I like duck cloth but there are specific fabrics designed for upholstery.

    Awesome.. How much fabric did you have to begin with and wished I seen this before I got rid of my vintage couch it was solid made with good quality wood.. Just need a upholster .. I may just go buy a chair to practice with.. thanks girl you rock wish I lived closer I love sewing ..

      I used 8 yards plus maybe a 1/2 yard if you count the back where the shirt is.

    I would never be able to do upholstery this way, I’m too much of a perfectionist. I know, it’s a curse! That’s why I’ve never actually done any upholstery and I have about 6 or 8 things I’ve been going to get to. Ugh! I admire the way you just DO things!

      It was 8 yards of fabric but I used the shirt on the back so 9 yards of fabric if you don’t use a shirt. 😂

    Awesome! I'm wanting to do theme based upholstery. You picked a team and I want to do special groups. Do you know if there is a copyright issue for selling theme covered furniture?

      Most don’t have any regulations until you hit a certain dollar amount in sales. If you are creating things yourself inspired by a theme it’s falls under creative license. Can’t hurt to check though. Some things are locked down right depending on popularity.

      Lorie V. It took me about 8 yards. If you were careful you might could use less. But I always use too much 😂😂

    Why no fire retardant safety ,In the uk it would void any insurance if a fire happened ?

      We don’t have regulations against it in Utah that I know of. I would totally make sure it was compliant if we did.

    oh about patterns... I had such a small amount of my favorite fabric left, that having a pattern was the only way I was able to stretch every last fiber I had left of it on that chair I did.

    Awesome job. I’ve always been to nervous to do a chair with this much detail. You could get a 3x T-shirt and stencil the letters and numbers on yourself. Michaels or Hobby Lobby probably has reusable letters in that font or close to it.

      I got 3 because I hate not having enough. Probably 4 yards if you didn’t do the back as a t-shirt
