still one of my fave teen memories is going to a battle of the bands at a huge arcade here in Vancouver called playdium. think it was like $20 or $40 for 9 hours of unlimited gaming and its the first place i heard stutterfly, they became the soundtrack to my life for the next few years.
Finally found the version we dinosaurs got on Napster all those years ago! So much better than the remake. Now if only I could find the original version of Headstrong I had burned on a cd back then...
This is the version I heard first so long ago and was highly disappointed with the new version. Once they got signed I'm sure they were talked into dulling down their music. The newer version had no edge to it unlike this version which makes me want to actually get in the pit.

My dad wouldn't let me buy there EP because their page didn't have a PayPal. So I was stuck with the low quality MP3. . . till my ripped copy took a shit, and then I had nothing. . . till now.
Their new version flows so well though. This version has more contrast but it lacks the overall tempo movement of the new one. I think their biggest flaw with the new version was culling the piano, it adds more depth to the song.

no, the new version is far different, the pacing is different, the tempo is different, the intent is different, it definitely feels like the song was re-geared to sound more mainstream and therefore: like everything else, which is what happened. This version is a lot more visceral, more raw, more original vision.
That's part of it, but this wasn't also terribly produced with weird levels and flows naturally. The version the came after was different just for the sake of being different, and don't forget that giant chunk of song that just straight up got cut out to make a 3 and a half minute mainstream POS
