    Most of the non-ethanol available in Washington is 87 octane. Non-ethanol isn't the easiest to find here. Some gas stations do have non-ethanol in 87, 89, and 92. Not many though.

    you mentioned warrantees on engines with fuels . i see this being an ongoing future problem with how interconnected buying is through credit cards and companies supplying consumer data to partner company's , i see it as an issue coming be aware now before it hits tomorrow .

    Engine builder here, spraying a penetrant or a solvent like WD40 into a cylinder that has been sitting for a long time is a terrible idea because it will wash off the oil film that remains on the cylinder walls. I've taken apart engines that have been sitting for years and there is still a film of oil inside the engine, it doesn't just completely flow off

    I live in Sarasota. I posted a video of some of the damage that Hurricane Milton has caused to the New Pass inlet and the businesses along the inlet such as Marine max, Salty Dog, New Pass bait shop, and it's not good. Looks like they can recover but it will be.... Well look for yourself. While Milton was not as bad as ian it did cause LOTS of damage to our area and there is still people today without power.

    Hi, I was wondering what you thought about the cheaper hydraulic steering system like vevor? If there worth it or you should just stay with mechanical steering?

    Marina puts a lein on it and then by a certain time if it's not satisfied, it will be auctioned. Trust me, I got a letter from my marina and I was only 3 months behind.

      Dang they were on it then :( I've seen marinas let them go for a year or 2 before taking action lol :/ but that's a long time and a lot of money to let build up as well :/

    I think you are referring to a "mechanics lien"

    I’m pretty sure it’s called a mechanics lien you were talking about for unpaid services.

    Quick question. I’ve been filling up my boat at my local marina because I assume they use non ethanol fuel. BUT I realize that I’ve never asked them! Do most marinas use non ethanol? I would assume they do because of the price difference. BUT you know what they say about assuming things……
    Just fyi , I usually fill up at Homestead Marina. I stay away from Black Point lol.

    • @TheBoatersPodcast
      @TheBoatersPodcast  3 месяца назад

      Most marinas only have non ethanol, but there are some that get shady fuel lol :/ you can always check it for ethanol though, just order a cheap tester from amazon if you don't want to use a regular jar and mess with the measurements :) but most likely it's non ethanol coming from the marina

    $2800 for the upholstery??? Why is it so expensive for boats? I’ve bought amazing couches for less money than that. Is it just the fact it’s custom made?
    I’ve seen generic boat seat cushions on Amazon for $200, and yet a water proof outdoor chair cushion the same size is $25 bucks. What’s the deal?

      BOAT = Break Out Another Thousand. As soon as the name Marine is applied multiply times 10. Its the same with airplane parts. Many older airplanes actually had automotive parts but it does not matter, multiply times 20 or more.

    • @VindicatorFSX
      @VindicatorFSX 3 месяца назад

      @TheBoatersPodcast and it could be a deal. I just can’t justify the cost on my personal boat. If I was selling a boat, might be a different story. But on my boat I’d rather spend that amount on other upgrades.

      A dud? It caused an estimated of 50 billion in damages and many people lost their lives and homes. What hype do you speak of? The sense of urgency from leaders in Fl to tell the citizens to prepare for? It was very well forecasted.

      @@donsreview-hakim Yes agreed there is always some damage and not fun. I've been thru at least 25 hurricanes so I've seen plenty, there was no 20ft storm surge maybe 3ft. Lots of irresponsible people leaving their boats in the water and building on barrier island on the ground and not elevated and this is what you get
