Best video about clams on youtube.Got new Maxima and she not open fully,so i search for instructions and tips and this video was so far the best. Greeting to Totonto from Prague👍👋👋
So I purchased a small Maximum clam, of course at the show the mantle was showing, now 3 days later the shell is mostly closed and not coming completely out, at first it seemed that fish were constantly swimming above it so that annoyed it. The tank is mature with lots of mushrooms and sea anemone's. Any thoughts?
How long should a tank be setup for, before attempting your first clam? I understand it would be past the "ugly phase", but a rough time frame would be appreciated.
I am hearing you can actually freshwater-dip a clam (of note specifically was pinched-mantle disease.) Is that accurate? Also, what's a squamosa's average max size? Or do they just keep growing?
if the clam attaches to you main rock scape you never can move the clam. you should attach the base of the clam to something hard, like a frag disc and then you can glue and move the clam later on if whenever u want.
I have to say I am almost happy you guys only ship around Canada. All of the popular coral shops (WWC, Tidal Gardens, etc.) dont ship to Canada. You guys ONLY ship to Canada. Give em a taste of their own medicine XD
This is my fave reef channel atm, Love the way you say Puppiee

I do want one but how big do they get because I’m planning on getting a 50 or 30 gallon tank do you have any advice
Hola familia, what do you feed these?
Is it true small clams need to be fed wit phytoplankton?
Indeed, you can dip a clam easely for 10 to even 20 minits in dechlorifided!! Fresh tapwater. They can handle that easrly ifcthey are healthy.
What for a Light Settings at the Hydras ?
What do they eat and how often to feed?
My question as well. Do they filter feed or do they need direct target feeding?

Can you move them around if they are attached to the coral plug disk (with the plug)?
What product do you feed them?
I have a fluval 5 gallon. Can i keep one in there?
Can you show how to feed the small clam?? Thank you

Per ORA they RO freshwater dip (Match temp and pH) clams for up to 20 minutes for pinched mantle issues (viral infection)

You can cut the byssal thread.
Hey March, if you put them on disc or rubble, would you be able to move the clam around?
I started looking into carving dry rocks down into clam holders. Then I just looked up clam hammocks! Yep, much easier.
appreciate you don't use any chemical dips, but should you not drip acclimate with tank water rather than simple temperature acclimate and position in
I prefer the video without music, as it feels more off the cuff.
Yes that was hard to listen to . I agree
🤘🐠 1k sub goal
The the fragbox tv beautiful clams
I freshwater dipped my clams for about 15 minutes when they were gaping. Both recovered.
They are beautiful but for the USA reefers Pacific east aquaculture is a great place for corals and everything saltwater
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
