    Very valid point about locals joining Wallace. "locals" throughout history everywhere often find their "Bottle" and join in the Frae when they see others have risen and decided enough is enough. Love your videosBTW.

    Mark, love working your videos mate. I’m massively interested in all the medieval scottish history.. i think i know a fair bit. But, watching your stuff makes me realise theres a lod of stuff more to learn, your knowledge of the borders stories/history is amazing mate. Alba gu brath 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    I lived in Galashiels some years ago and the Wallace monument was not far from my home we made a visit to see the Monument it is magnificent

    Another interesting video, nice one, knew about Wallace's putting stone but not this!
    Have you ever been up Wallace's trench? that's an impressive thing to behold. lots of great stories about it 😉

      never been up to that Wallaces trench, will need to get up some day. it crosses the Catrail at some point. will need to do a bit research into it.

      definitely do that. you can imagine Wallace on his horse hidden in the trench! not as deep now but still impressive
