Nice review, I just added this to my thinking about wish list on amazon. I moved from bench tech to systems engineering many years ago and am now in IT. I am slowly building up Arduino and Raspberry Pi materials to get back into benchtop electronics.
The Comfortably Numb outro by David Gilmour is simply unrivaled. PS- i'm going to buy one of these scopes sight-unseen based on your glowing review....... i hope i like it :-)
Mine is the OSCA02L It comes with the Logic Analyzer and The Signal Generator is built in. My question is a Function Generator and Signal Generator the same thing? I bought a Separate FG-100DDS It did not come with probe set so i got a general O scope probe set for it.
Thanks for this video. I was looking for a scope I could hook up to my pc for the space-saving aspect and for the ability to easily incorporate the output into future RUclips videos. I'd like to get some better probes for this thing, though. What probes would you recommend as an upgrade?
Thanks mate! I just receive mine based on your review, it is really impressive scope for the price. I own a Saintmart DS202 with I also like for being portable. I got the LOTO scope that works with Android.
Hi Paul grate video,iv been looking at these scopes and come across you video,if not really got the money for an expensive one as myself and my partner both care for our son who has special needs, so something like this would be a grate start for me keep posting these grate videos not to sure how many iv watched now lol
Great little scope I am looking for something like this as my first scope to link to an android tablet just dont know the guitarist you mentioned so guess I'm out of the running, hope you keep on with these videos great job 👍🤠
9:19 shame on Loto for the clickbait title. When searching for a 100Mhz oscilloscope on Amazon I'm not into seeing one that should be clearly 100MSps! Besides with that rate you'll struggle inspecting even its rated 35MHz bandwidth. 10MHz should be quite reasonable for this device. I wouldn't compare it to the $200 hantek with 1Gs/100MHz on board as this one is rather a toy in comparison! ;) But if we take another cheap chinascope (ISDS205A for example) rated at 48MSps/20MHz sold for $50 with shipping - this Loto stands well over it with its sleek software and a decent logic analyzer. Unless you are really into the savings then the cheaper one might suit your pocket. As for the hardware part there isn't a significant difference between these. Thank you for showcasing it, Paul!
I watched the Chinese version and slowed it down, there were 2 voices going together, so hard to get everything in one go, yours made it very easy to understand, convinced me to get one. thank you would you be able to look into using the current probe kit they have, i would like to monitor the current from the starter motor on a car on one channel and the firing order of an engine 1432 order to see if the compression can be looked at in an engine like they do with the expensive car scopes . well done on your presentation
Great vid. Looks like a pretty decent unit. I was wondering what did the red flashing triangle on the channel A knob indicate when you went to a square waveform?
According to the manual: " it means that the selected voltage scale is too small, or the amplitude of the signal is greater than the maximum value supported from the device. In this case, a red exclamation mark warning sign will appear on the voltage knob of the corresponding channel".
Wow, I would really like that scope, however, at 67 I still think Jimmy Hendrix is the greatest ever! I'll just have to buy my own. Great video thanks much.
*The everything you said about the scope, I just sit here with my mouth open and thinking, English please!!! I don’t know anything about scopes* 🤪 *Always good videos!!!*
Hey, I'm new to all this but I watch your vids. Can you use this to on ham or cb radio repairs. I'm not a technician but would like to have some tool to learn how
Nice video, i was wondering is there a setup tour of your place? looks really cool if judging by the led`s above your workbench seen on 4:28 in the reflection
Wondering how OSCA02 compares to Owon VDS1022. Not by paper specs, but in real-world use, and when comparing only hardware properties and not the ones artificially boosted by a computer (having virtually unlimited memory). (Prices with VAT in Europe). OSCA02 and VDS1022I are both at about 100 EUR. VDS1022 (non-I) is ~70 EUR.
Hey Paul, nice unit! I just bought that Hantek USB scope off ebay for around 17 dollars after watching your video I hope it's not too good to be true :)
Board and Revisiting things. I have two vary usable USB software programs but my damn Lenovo Lap top simply does not have the Inputs required. I've tried using USB cards and all. Ended up buying a Hantek USB scope . Boy was that a good move for me. Still need a scope that can operate in the RF World. This one looks to be on the same level. Higher Input voltage. Hantek is limited to 35vP. Handtek is a bit cheaper, eaa?
Yes the Loto is good for the money for sure, I’ve got a Hantek 6022B, and it’s good, but it’s only 20 MHz, does not have ac coupling and has nowhere near the features of this scope. Good review.
@@learnelectronics Ok. Just wondering. I did not know as I guess I am still an old school American that still uses the Imperial unit of measure. Sorry for asking the question.
I just bought one of these and really enjoying it. It was easy to figure out the "scope" part of this scope (measuring, triggering using the two scope probes). However, I could not figure out how to trigger using one of the channels from the logic analyzer inputs. Has anyone with experience doing this? I haven't found any videos with this info.
What a nice USB scope and like you said, the software is everything with these. Still love and use my Hantek! Feel better buddy take it easy and Happy Father's Day.
Now to a real comment. Price point is great if the size and features together are true. In other words I saw the measurement. Is your estimate of the software based on your normal criticality of equipment? If so, this might be the on the road unit for person use I have been looking for!
I bought the sainsmart 20Mhz model. But I elected to buy the scope only and save the $40-50 extra bucks and not get the logic analyzer adapter and function generator plug in. I did it with the intention of making my own LA plug in but cannot find any info on what pin out I need to attach a wire to for the inputs. Does anyone know where I can find this info?
Nice review, I purchased a hantek usb oscope and was very dissatisfied with it and sent it back. It was very noisy and did not have a dc input, who sells a scope without an dc input Hantek.

Stick to Imperial, Paul!
Millimeters are smaller than centimeters, at least here, where we didn’t put a man on the 🌙.

Accuracy on the square wave looks really poor... Did you ever manage to clean it up? Could be capacitance
Not at all
More with the fft please. Let's see a transmitter hooked to it.
