Finish the game without defeating him yet. Then, load this save as NG+, and you can select hard mode 😎 2) Why did you use a team command in final phase after limit? Because sadly that is the only way to no damage this with Aerith. Once Aerith comes out of her limit, she immediately gets hit by his attack, regardless of the physical immune limit, and dies. Every other characters limit here damages him and changes his phase to shield. Aerith limit doesn’t do damage to change his attacks to his shield phase, and sadly you will just get hit and die right after getting out of her limit, UNLESS, you throw a team command to force him to change phases.
I was about to ask how to the easiest way to set up a file to do just a Gilgamesh fight is 😅Very interesting that the backline synergy ability is the only way to shift phases 🤔🤔 Parrying this guy is so fun though, I love his voice lines!!

haha thank you! 😄 Aerith was cruising in Vacation mode while also in beast mode against a superboss haha. This was honestly a very exhausting challenge. But it felt so nice to learn his parry’s. Felt like I was playing Sekiro haha. Really wish we could replay this without the need of a new game file where he wasn’t defeated. Having to grind my new game file to get to this fight and also have decent materia and abilities was a painnnnnnn. never again lol.
I almost broke my controller at this fight. Got it done at lvl 49. But looking at your way of approach, it gave me sincere satisfaction to see you woop his ass like it's nothing. Thanks for your wild effort for my happiness.

Square needs to make a couple mods in part 3. 1) toggle on or off the reddening of the screen when a character is low on hp/dead. Would make solo fights better to see. 2) Sliding scale on particle effects would be nice. Sometimes it's just too much
it increases the parry timing window, so it can help with parrying! and when maxed out, you can parry some attacks with exclamation marks. but I believe not all exclamation mark attacks can be parried. The swordplay attack you can’t parry even with maxed out precision defense materia. hope that helps!!

@@ColdSoba-rx8bk 1) Use Precision Defense Materia! It helps with the timing! 2) lots and lots of practice 😄 I recommend to go to chapter 12, and practice parrying against Abzu. That fight helped me a lot on my first playthrough to get used to the parrying. You got this!!
if you “perfect parry” it will make you immune to damage. If you mis-time the parry, or block instead, you will take damage. Also at the end, Aerith’s limit there makes her immune to all physical damage.
Since this is on NG+ hard, you can do chapter select and choose chapter 12. Cait Sith is in your party that way, he is still in your party at the start of chapter 12

How the fuck did you do this?? There’s nothing I’ve seen in game yet that allows for ZERO damage auto blocks. Also how does your aerith have almost 5k MP?

I never used it so far...
