I tell you this, the more interaction I have with John and his Dad, Dave, at Heindl Engineering, the more strongly I feel just how honest, ethical, and knowledgable these men are and how lucky I am to have them right here in Ohio in my backyard. My BIGGEST REGRET was not buying my new 2017 from them. Never again. When I do get another new bike, it will be from Heindl, and they are certainly the shop I recommend to anybody who asks me about Ural. I promote and support this dealership whenever I can because they support me! That's why I proudly display their logo on my bike. Excellent video John! Thank you very much.
How in the world did a motorcycle mechanic not know what an easy out is? I mean, I've seen shade tree mechanics that make do, but this is butcher level incompetence. You sir, are an awesome individual for taking such good care of this rider. If I ever buy a Ural I'll be calling you guys for sure...
I love the urals and hope one day I got enough pennys saved I live in Georgia the dealer I went to check out the urals was to busy telling me about all the bmws . so you guys keep making the good vids and hopefully I can come seeya one day with some money .
That is really sad to see. One trick I have used when I need to drill out a bolt is to use left-handed drill bits. (MSC has them in sets) In some cases the bit will grab and spin the bolt out. Honestly I've about given up on paying mechanics to work on my stuff. I've never seen it as bad as this but I have seen a thrust bearing installed on the wrong crank journal, and more bolts left out than I count, and a stripped bolt super-glued in place.
Hm, I don't know major mechanicking, but I know that's NOT how you'd remove stuck bolts!! EZ out, or drilling with a SMALLER bit, s m h. I have to ask though, how many bolts on the case were stuck!?? And is that that common an issue?! That's disturbing.
Hmmm sadly I bet I know which dealer it could have been, you guys almost ended up working on my '17 GU after the closest dealer took 5 months to butcher my bike. It ended up at Spartan Motors near Detroit because they're 4 hours closer to Northern MI (do the math to figure out who it was) Even though they'd only been a Ural dealer for about a year Spartan did a good job and treated me right.
Hello, why are these apartments? can't use car oil? Why is there no 20w50 car oil? I use cheap oils, there are solid oils, it makes the engine bad, the master says that the car does not have oil, pour solid oil, the car stops, it says it damages the crankshaft
Exactly how would you screw up drilling those broken bolts out that badly. That is basic mechanicing. Now about the only recourse would be to strip block down and weld buggered holes and then redrill and tap.Wow,what a mess for a simple job.
I know people that have bought an older uriel's and I'm hearing their crankshafts were soft I know somebody that has put multiple crankshafts in the motor
Only think what I just dont understand is why you dont want to mention the name of the dealer which done this mess. Is that their work, yes it is, did day mess it up, yes they did. So whats the deal..
Defamation laws in all the countries this can be watched. Apart from that, who knows if the customer is telling the truth? Fixing office machinery for 15 years tells me customers lie, even when it's obvious they did something stupid.

I'm considering trading my HD for a Ural. I like these guys.

Great videos; I wish all Ural Dealers were as honest as you are, but unfortunately , they are not.
è sorprendente che attrezzi costruiti con tale approssimazione possano funzionare, anche per breve impiego

Really nice video. A shame what you were left with. Would enjoy seeing some of the engine rebuild maybe just some highlights.
Poor service from the other dealer. I'd hate to see their work on a more complicated machine.
Great video, thanks for the instructional
Is there a link to the follow up on this engine? Is 30K typical for a clutch replacement?
Well, for sure, that'll be a new engine whoever ends up with this after that rebuild!😉

I think a majority of my problems I’ve had is from taking it to “Ural dealers” instead of a REAL Ural dealer. How many kms are on that 15?
30,000

Another case of " I own tools so i'm a mechanic"

If you own a Ural, you have to subscribe to this channel !!
What butchers the others were,,, I would've gone ballistic if they did that to me...
What a lot of damage
Hell. Fonz.
