It works for me. In my case, I let the battery drained and when I charge it, it wasnt turning on. I just remove the connection of the battery to the motherboard, turn it on and its good now. This is the first ever Indian tutorial that is helpful. You got a new sub!

First disconnect the battery connector (see 2:24).... then plug in the charging cable into the phone to charge (see 2:32) ...... and THEN reconnect the battery connector (see 2:40) and then it should see some signs, press power on, and it will turn on.

Just disconnect the battery terminal plugin the charger connects the battery again and leave it charging for a while that's it nothing special hope it works. 👍👍
I washed my phone lightly with water with my hand and the touching of buttons didn't correctly go to the right place on the lcd touchscreen but i could type. later though it went off and now only white screen and can see the clock. can't even hold the button to turn off as it seems to restart the white and dull white lcd backlight.

i faced the same problem today the phone was on the charger with 0% but i removed the charger to then put it again i found the charging light keeps blinking so i left the phone on charge for 15 minutes then the red light stopped blinking and now its charging :D this problem occurs due to dead battery don't worry just let the phone charge and everything will be ok

I had the same problem with mi Redmi 6A. I pushed volume up and volume down buttons together, and, at the same time, tried to power on the phone (as if I wanted to boot into Recovery Mode). Although it didn't boot up, because the battery was almost depleted, it did start charging normally. I turned on the device when battery charge hit 5% and am using it without further problems, battery is at 10% now. Hope it helps!
Wow it just happened to me and I found this video and I was already trying to open a phone with my nails without success.. Boy I'm glad I scrolled through the comments and found yours. No need for blow dryer or heat gun . Get a tin Pepsi,Coke or Dr pepper cut a square from the tin itself and run it between the back cover n it will start to lift it up a bit then use other tools to pry slowly.

I can confirm that good old whacking is a viable solution. I have a redmi 5 plus. It reached 0% battery and phone died in my hands. No other problems before, no battery drains, did not fall or anything. Afterwards, I plugged it in a socket and after an hour of charging (supposedly), it would not turn on. Not with the power button, nor with power+volume up nor with power+volume down. After hours of charging, pluggin it on the pc (not recognized at all), taking it of the charger and back again and trying all combinations of power up holding the buttons for minutes at a time, nothing was happening. I started lookin' into new phones. Then I tried again, slapped it 2-3 times and immediately without even pressing a button the Mi logo appeared. After the logo, the battery screen appeared showing 8% battery (it was plugged in for hours)!! I left it a few minutes to charge but it was not showing any signs of change, battery was still 8%. I decided to boot, it did and left it to charge some more, now it's gone to 25% battery and it is still charging!

I had same problem with Redmi y2. I didn't open it as it was still under warranty. So used to other method mentioned by a user. Connected it to laptop for 2 hours, initially it was blinking but after sometime it stopped. I disconnected it and pressed the power button and it started and working fine
It has stopped working again, my bad luck. Gave it to a technician since I'm out of india, he updated firmware but again it wasn't working today. Gave it back to him and asked to see this tutorial to fix it. Will update once the phone is fixed

Worked for me steps as follows: Step 1- remove sim card and insert sim card. Step 2- connect charger Step 3- reboot phone by pressing power key and volume up key together for 10 - 15 seconds. I kept the screen on till the battery is zero, then left it for half a day and full charged later. Then done the restore thing and got back all the files. After restart the phone and done. you need to use a hair dryer, make the cover hot, so the glue gets warm and you can open it up easily. But don't do it to often

No other problems before, no battery drains, did not fall or anything. Afterwards, I plugged it in a socket and after an hour of charging (supposedly), it would not turn on. Not with the power button, nor with power+volume up nor with power+volume down. After hours of charging, pluggin it on the pc (not recognized at all), taking it of the charger and back again and trying all combinations of power up holding the buttons for minutes at a time, nothing was happening. I started lookin' into new phones. Then I tried again, slapped it 2-3 times and immediately without even pressing a button the Mi logo appeared. After the logo, the battery screen appeared showing 8% battery (it was plugged in for hours)!! I left it a few minutes to charge but it was not showing any signs of change, battery was still 8%. I decided to boot, it did and left it to charge some more, now it's gone to 25% battery and it is still charging!

I think OK, what am I loosing by smacking this piece of... hardware I'LL GIVE YOU SOME TOUGH LOVE, and it boots. I dunno man, what is this shit, wtf, thanks a lot, I think it works now. I had same problem with Redmi y2. I didn't open it as it was still under warranty. So used to other method mentioned by a user. Connected it to laptop for 2 hours, initially it was blinking but after sometime it stopped. I disconnected it and pressed the power button and it started and working fine
It has stopped working again, my bad luck. Gave it to a technician since I'm out of india, he updated firmware but again it wasn't working today. Gave it back to him and asked to see this tutorial to fix it. Will update once the phone is fixed

@@Siri_Entertainments , there are possibilities of power IC failure, difficult to say without checking. I think 6K is for replacing mainboard.
Hope at service center they have checked battery.

Worked for me steps as follows:
Step 1- remove sim card and insert sim card.
Step 2- connect charger
Step 3- reboot phone by pressing power key and volume up key together for 10 - 15 seconds.
Now phone will shown battery signal if not try step 3 again.
Main problem is your phone battery is 0%.

Hello James, Im having a similar issue with my MI Note 4. My mobile got switched off suddenly and its charging but when pressed the power on Button its getting on and off again & again. Could you please tell me what should i do to fix this problem ?

@@optionstrader10I backed up all files and reset my phone. Then login with MI account credentials and turned in the phone. I kept the screen on till the battery is zero, then left it for half a day and full charged later. Then done the restore thing and got back all the files. After restart the phone and done. The problem is fixed and I never faced that issue again.
