    I can remember seeing these kits in Woolworth when I was a kid. I always wanted to get one.
    Very interesting kit. Thanks for sharing Luka’s kits! ✌🏽😎👍🏾

    Great video. There are a few errors in this kit. The suspension is not entirely correct but it builds up nice. One interesting fact is that in 1984 there was no mention of a v6 in the real car. I dont know how mpc in 83 knew there would be v6, let alone the 2.8 motor. Its like someone at mpc took a peek at the future plans for the car. That engine is also incorrect as the intake is completly different. They had first gen fuel injection from gm. Only the iron duke had a throttle body that was like a cross between fuel injection and carbs. Take a look at the monogram kit i sent you. That has a much more accurate v6 engine. The race parts are from the imsa race car from the 85-86 season. That car used a built version of the duke called the sd4. Im looking forward to seeing you build this. Ive built a bunch of them but ive never done tham in race car trim. If you need any reference stuff let me know. Now you have me wanting to build another one.😂

      Thanks for your input, Onix. I had a feeling you knew a little bit about these cars and this kit.

    I picked up one of those kits a couple of years ago. It is a really nice kit. Love the two engines. Thanks for sharing.

    I own a 1988 Fiero coupe and it is great for driving around curves! I have a few kits that I have run across, but had not seen this one before.

    Very nice look at the Fiero. I bought one a few years ago, but just briefly looked in the box when I bought it. I know it had the V6 and the Iron Duke, and had no idea there was a widebody kit in the box as well. The widebody kit definitely changes my plans when I do get around to building it. Thanks for sharing.

    I remember as a kid in the 80's, that I didn't quite like Fieros, except the Fiero GT with the fastback roof, which looked like a mini Trans Am. But as I got older and learned more about the origins and idea of the car, I became a fan, especially in a world where every modern car looks like the same ol' blob of molten, fake-suv goo!!!!

    I built this kit when it first came out at a sleepover at a friend's house. I built the whole thing in one night. No paint of course. I'd love for Round 2 to reissue this one.

    Fun fact: Fiero bucket seats can be used as a direct replacement of the split bench seat in an 80's model Buick Regal.

    If I were to get that kit, I would have to paint it white to represent the car a customer had back in my wrench turning days. That guy was in every other week for something. Like you said that kit has some awesome detail. Definitely worth buying. You got a knack at finding these ugly duckling kits, of the day, and showing us the swan inside. Thanks for sharing.

    Build it for all of us! Don’t fill in the fender seams, just put some PE Dzus fasteners on them, they would likely be removable on a race car. Cool kit, now I want one😢😂. Thanks!

    Going to piggy-back on the Felix comments. He did great and I could tell you probably enjoyed it as much as he did. That being said, on to this video. Always wanted a real Fiero. A girl I graduated High School with had one. Of course, it was red. It had factory speakers mounted in head rests. Pretty sure hers was the 4 cylinder.

    You gave me a flashback. Just in the look of the car. It looks just like the Triumph TR7 of the '70's. I was stationed at Ft Dix, NJ, in the late '70's, and sooo many Lieutenants and Captains had a TR7. The Fiero looks like a copycat car.

      I had a girlfriend the early 80s that had a TR7. Yeah, I agree with you.

    It's a really impressive kit on many levels. The fender flares are actually spot on for the IMSA GTU Fiero. Though the real car was a tube frame car that used a fuel injected Iron Duke four banger. I'm scratch building a tube chassis to replicate the real car.

    I think the fender flares and snorkel for the engine are parts that were on the ppg pace car and the Indy pace car it was gray and white

    • @onixfieroandscalemodelworks
      @onixfieroandscalemodelworks 2 месяца назад +1

      They were actually for the imsa car. The indy pace car had an aero kit that was used for the 85 gt model. Monogram makes a great kit of that years car.
